While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

He continued to smile, ”Well if you decide that you want re-payment my offer still stands” He reassured her wondering why she was so glum all of a sudden. Was she prone to mood swings like that? It was like a flip of a switch. Though she did look tired, and that could explain a lot. He knew when he was tired he wasn’t always in the best of mood either, but the sudden change caught him off guard and made him wonder if he had said something. He did feel bad for her, and watched her change and curl up and sleep. She was something… That was for sure.

He got up, his bare feet touching the cold floor of the rented room and went over to her stuff and started to rifle though it looking at the saddle that she had bought for her horse. Just stuff and it was something to do. He poked and prodded it with a curious finger but didn’t go as far as to open any of the pouches. He looked at the wolf that was trying to sleep or was already asleep. He couldn’t tell. So this was her as an animal, much bigger than him as a cat that was for sure. He guessed it was time for rest, but he wasn’t all that tired and so just took off his cloak and laid on the bed sprawling out. Unable to get comfortable he rolled on his side and just tossed and turned. Even on a bed… Strange, though he found a comfy spot in the middle of the bed, and so he did his best to curl up like he would when he was cat. He closed his eyes and just focused on his breathing.

As he did so he thought about everything that was happening. Everything that has happened and everything that could happen, that might happen. He always thought it silly that the humans and other races preoccupied themselves with the future, and now that he was free he thought he understood. The future, when your every move wasn’t dictated by a master, was so uncertain, so scary. He thought he understood now their desire to know… Sometimes it was unnerving. Not knowing….

Sleeping till the early morning as she always did, she had dreams of who she was, and the fact that her kelvic life was short. She had only been alive 2 years and yet once she hit 3, she would be considered..old...Had she wasted her time as a loner? There comes a time in every woman's life, especially with an animal nature, to want to bare young one's of her own. She thought maybe her traveling and all..was a waste of her life. But she wasn't sure.

The sun had glimmered through the window once again waking her up. She stood and stretched out her body digging her nails into the wooden floor boards. Coming out of her form, and went to her bag and got out her brush and quickly brushed her hair.

Sleep never seemed to be that hard found by a cat with nothing to do. Sleep in fact was the preferred way to spend time. It was both relaxing and refreshing, and a very good way to make time go by. Rolling over on his side he watched the other kelvic sleep, and the sleep just wanted to make him sleep. Letting out a lazy, not tired but lazy, he watched her and thought about just how many nights she rented this place out. Sure he was mostly dumb to the world but one thing he knew, that everyone should know, is that everything costs money, and money has to be earned. He didn’t know and wondered if she knew just how much it was going to cost her. Heh, he smiled to himself, of course she knew.

With some worries put to rest, the wolf looking so peaceful sleeping in the corner, he decided that it was about time for him to get to sleep as well. Although he wasn’t that much tired he would sleep just for the hell of it. Sleep was sleep, as is many other things that he does. Eating is eating, walking even so, love is love, and a job is a job. There isn’t anything too complex if you view the world in these simple terms, or don’t (refuse) to see anything beyond your comprehension, and so with that he fell asleep. No dreams came to him this time.

The sleep he was light and he knew that he could come out of it anytime. It was just by the power of will he could wake up although he chose not to and stayed in that awkward state of light sleep all though the night. Unmoving, not even twitching in his sleep, it was a weird rest, but one he has had before and one that he didn’t mind. Sleep was sleep, and he was glad that he could at least do something to pass the time.

He only woke when he heard movement in the room. Opening his eyes slightly, almost not at all, only to allow a sliver of light in he allowed his eyes to adjust with the morning light. Once he was able to fully open them he looked at the source of the disturbance to see that the wolf had already got up, and she was back being a human. So he watched in silence her brush her hair. Again he was unmoving, and the silence was golden.

Life is Like Climbing a Tree (Open)

She sat, pushing the long bristles through her long silk hair. The sun beamed off it setting off a slightly shine making it seem so much brighter. Sighing, she felt dirty, she hadn't bathed in a while, she wished they'd make bathing easier. Always being an odd one of her kind, sometimes she seemed more human than kelvic. She then got up and reached into her bag and pulled out some raw meat and started to munch down on it. Typically raw meat could harm a human, but not an animal.

Leaning her back on the wall, she sat chewing as she stared out the window. She wondered what it was like to have a family, have a home, to be normal. But she wondered what normal was considered to be in this day and age. Letting out a yawn, she finished eating then leaned her head back and closed her eyes.

He continued to watch her brush her hair. It was silly, but it was somewhat relaxing to watch, but he would much rather be doing something. Though the peace was nice for a change. It was welcome and greeted with the warm smile that showed as he continued to watch her. Yeah, she may want to seem cold, and have some top secret mission to uphold, but she is just as flawed as anyone else.

Stretching and yawning he sat up as the other sat down and closed her eyes. "Having a rough time?" He asked now sitting on the edge of the bed. "Hmmm?" He asked referring to the question asked not a second ago. She really didn't talk much and that really didn't suit him. He liked to talk, but finding something to talk about was the problem. Especially, seemingly, with her of all people.

She looked over at him and shrugged as she thought. A rough time? What did he mean by that? She wasn't one for being a lone a with a man anymore, normally she was to intimidating to them and they didn't want her company, they all saw violence and a trouble maker, all she wanted was some one to get to know better but, as normal, they ran away and she decided to just not try with anyone anymore, if they wanted to go, go, if they wanted to stay, well, that was odd. "In more than one way." She told him, she didn't want to say much as she didn't trust him enough yet with information about herself.

Standing she started to stretch and try to wake herself up as she had been in a deep state of mind, she wanted to get out of it before she bore her quest and drove him away and that's the last thing she wanted to do. Not being around people her own kind for very long, she hopped maybe she could find a new friend in him.[/center]

Life is Like Climbing a Tree (Open)

Ageru kept watching her, a friendly smile on his face, waiting for his answer. She seemed like a nice enough person, and running away was the last thing that he wanted to do. Sure she was kind of intimidating but he was sure there was more than that in her. There just had to be. She was more than just a person, than just a kelvic, to him. He was hoping for her to be his first real friend. Though friendship was a weird concept to him, never having friends before he wondered how it all worked. He had heard of the word, sure, and knew that friends helped each other out, but didnt quite comprehend what exactly a friend was. It was something he was eager to find out.

"Im more than one way..." he repeated her words back to himself. "Well what does that mean?" he asked himself out loud with a sly smile as if trying to coax the answer out of her with his grin alone. He wondered if there was anything he could do to help his 'friend'. Even though the relationship status might not be mutual he still considered her his first friend. Well is in the process of doing so.

Seeing her get up he jumped to his feet as well. His eyes watched her every move. It wasnt like he didnt trust her, no, he just didnt want to miss anything she did. "So, where are we off to?" he asked her figuring that she might want to move on or at least do something in the city. He made the point to say 'we' and hoped she didnt mind. In fact he was wondering what she was thinking.

Although the prospect of travel was scary for him, and was rather hard, he felt just a little bit safer traveling with her. There was something about her... His thoughts wandered to how they met and how they had gotten all the way here. It was weird, the start of their relationship, but it was something.
