Home of the Konti people, this ivory city is built of native konti stone half in and half out of the sea. Its borders touch the Silverwood, and stretch upwards towards Silver Lake, home of the infamous konti vision water. [Lore]

Interpretation (Blythe)

Keyta watched as Blythe's eyes first seemed to open wide and lifeless, but then a few seconds later shut tight with fear. The little girl checked around herself and didn't see anything but was concerned because Blythe was now in a cold sweat. Keyta leaned forward and stretched her arms till she got a hold of Blythe's dress and pulled her toward herself. Keyta then wrapped her arms around her and carefully hid her face in her dress while squeezing her arms around her. She couldn't understand what was happening to her, but she wanted Blythe to at the very least feel safe again. A ray of sunlight shot its way through the curtain in front of the window and right into Keyta's left eye and she fell back on the bed almost scarred for a second. Slowly she tried to climb back to the light and examine it, maybe there was a special way day people got use to the light it gave them.

Slowly Keyta's eye found the ray of light again and once again, a huge burning sensation filled her eye. She tried to look at the spot up against the wall and even that hurt her eyes, but not enough to cause her to hide. Keyta put her hand up against the wall and slid it to the spot. It was warm, it felt, relaxing, it almost made her feel sleepy again. Keyta looked at Blythe and couldn't figure it out, how do they not hurt in the sunlight?

"How have you been Keyta?" Blythe asked. "Enjoying that little ray of sunlight, I see," Blythe stammered, still trying to shake the unease her vision had caused her off as she attempted to act normally. She didn't want to frighten the girl, and didn't intend to tell her what she had seen. It wasn't as though Blythe would truly be concealing anything either, considering how she had peered into Keyta's life, and Keyta already knew what had happened. She was there that day on the beach after all, wasn't she?

"Do you like it?" Blythe asked, "the sun?"

Blythe didn't know what else to say. She was desperate for anything to talk about. Anything that may draw her mind away from her vision. Of course, she had more than likely asked a foolish question. Her vision had to do with the girl being incapable of handling sunlight, and in an attempt to shield herself from it, the Kelvic had shifted and fell to the ground. Now, she was here, in Blythe's bed, toying with the thing that had toyed with her. The element that had broken Keyta's fragile body.

Blythe definitely should have asked something else. Something about what the girl liked to do. Or how she was feeling, which of her pictures she had enjoyed creating most. What her inspiration was. Anything but what she had said, but it was too late to take it back now. No one she knew of could turn back time. No one she had read about in a storybook knew how either. Blythe would simply have to live with her decision.

Blythe bit her bottom lip nervously. "Were you hungry? Did you need anyone to bring you anything?" Blythe asked as she tried to come up with something else to distract her. Anything else.

Now was when she needed a grand escape plan. A marvelously concocted excuse to get away. She needed some fresh air, but didn't want to seem rude by simply getting up and walking out.

Please need something Keyta, Blythe's brain silently prayed.

Keyta noticed Blythe's uneasiness but didn't know what to do. She heard the children run through the house and their grandmother calling after them to slow down. Keyta wanted to meet them, even if they just came into her room, but she was curious. Carefully, the small kelvic shifted her weight since her legs seemed to bury themselves into her pillows, making them slightly less comfortable. Only then did Keyta feel really awful, she had been sleeping in Blythe's bed this whole time, where has Blythe's been sleeping?

Keyta was feeling a little hungry, but again, she was begining to feel bad, she had been mooching off of Blythe and her family for sometime now. The only way she would be able to repay Blythe was by getting her bag and giving her something of her own. Keyta figured a plan, but it would take time and patients. In the time being, she was going to measure the time it took Blythe to go from end to end of the house for different things and see which would take the longest. Keyta started by finding a picture of a fruit she saw but didn't know the name of and showed it to Blythe to ask for food.

OOCWe can end this thread soon if you don't have anything else to add and start a new thread, i'll pm you if you need more details about what I'm wanting to do

Blythe looked at the picture Keyta was holding up. It looked like a pineapple to her, but she couldn't be sure. "You hungry then?" Blythe asked with a wary smile as she got to her feet. Her brain was screaming, thank you Keyta for giving me an excuse to get the heck out of here for a bit. It was also jumping up and down merrily, but Blythe didn't make any of that known to the young Kelvic girl.

"Be right back," Blythe said as she toddled off to the kitchen in search of something Keyta might actually eat. The girl was somewhat picky, but then again, she wasn't truly a girl. She was a fruit bat who had the ability to turn into a human if she so chose. And fruit bats, well, apparently they were the picky ones that only ate fruit. Thankfully, the stuff was easy enough to find on the Island, and rather plentiful too. Otherwise, Blythe would find herself in a bit of a bind when it came to feeding time.

When Blythe reached the kitchen, she opened each of the cabinets, until she found a piece of fruit: a red apple. Blythe grabbed it, closed the cabinet, and brought it back to Keyta. When she reached her room, Blythe shined the apple on her dress before holding it out to the girl. "Here you go love," she said.

OOCYeah we can end with your eating. I honestly am outta bright ideas. Sorry Keyta.

And I feel like the wicked witch from Snow White. Except prettier, and not so wicked.

Keyta watched as Blythe left the room and took a glance at the sun spot in the room; it was barely above the bed when she left the room. Keyta looked away so she wouldn't get confused when Blythe came back and started to wonder what type of fruit she might get from her konti friend. A few small moments passed and Blythe finally came back holding an apple in her hand. Keyta glanced back at the spot and saw it only just barely touching the bed. 'Not long enough' she thought to herself while reaching out to grab the apple that Blythe had just shinned on her dress. Keyta thought about what other ways she could keep track of the time and what other things she might be able to get Blythe to do all while enjoying the juice from the apple.

Nice thread. I really like the interaction between you two, especially the part when Blythe gets a vision from Keyta’s fall. I also think the gnosis was depicted very well. And Blythe got herbalism xp for making tea. :)
