The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Ari’Ellin was tired and irritated as she made her way through the streets of Lhavit. Work had been busy and although she enjoyed her worked, her day had been particularly draining with so many concoctions having been made earlier in the season and seeming to all have been ready to filter and move between containers all on the same day.

Now all Ari wanted was a way to unwind, but she also didn’t quite want to return to her home. Instead she found her feet leading the way to somewhere that she would be able to get a drink and enjoy some time surrounded by people, but not necessarily having to speak with them unless they were interested.

Soon she found herself at the Scholar’s Demise, her feet leading her in through the door to a fairly busy sight, with many people crowded around some of the tables, other tables being left fairly empty.

Ari’s first stop was at the bar and she read over the list of drinks, able to read the words but some of the types of alcohol being completely unfamiliar to her as she blinked, just trying to work out what she should get before she gave up trying to work out which one would be the best choice and instead looked at the names of the drinks, choosing the one with the nicest name.

“Ah... Full Moon? Please?” she asked, watching as the person behind the bar nodded and a smile spread across her face. “Oh, and vegetable plate please?” she asked again, this time more confident as she counted out her kina and handed four kina to the bartender, before accepting the drink that had been made quicker than she’d expected.

The bartender gestured for her to go sit down, and Ari’Ellin followed the instruction, nodding politely before going to sit down, just enjoying the atmosphere within the place as she became aware of the storyteller, a young man reciting a tale of a brave hunter being caught in the wilderness and having to fight off some fierce beast.

Ari’Ellin leaned in closer to listen better to the story, her eyes transfixed on the storyteller, the way his face was so expressive and animated, the way that his voice rose and fell in a way to draw everyone into the story, deeper and deeper. She was fascinated by his skills, and her attention was only briefly drawn away from him as the vegetable plate was set down in front of her.

She looked to the bartender, smiling and nodding appreciatively to him. “Thank you.” she said quietly, watching as the bartender smiled and nodded in return before finding his way back to the bar as Ari’Ellin picked up some of the cucumber and ate it slowly, watching the storyteller, entranced by his story before his story came to an end, the hunter having defeated his attacker and claimed it’s head as a trophy.

A small group within the bar broke into applause for the storyteller and Ari’Ellin joined in, excited to see who else would perform their art that evening.
