Neville Whitevine Basic Information Name: Neville Whitevine Race: Nuit Birthday & Age : 78th of Fall AV 116, 394 Years Old Gender: Male Physical Description Neville is currently in the body of a Jamoura. Though short for a Jamoura, Neville's stature of 7' 5'' is quite a bit larger than what he is used to. And weighing in at 470 lbs doesn't make the body any easier to get used to. His fur is permanently stuck as a dull, grayish black, and his eyes are a dark shade of hazel. Being undead has also had it's affect, as the area around his eyes and his tongue have both turned black and patches of hair have begun to fall out. Most of the missing hair is on his back, so when he goes out he usually wears a black cape to hide it. All in all, it is not easy to tell at first glance that he is a Nuit since many people have never spent much time around Jamoura. However, someone familiar with the Jamoura could easily tell there is something wrong with him. Character Concept Neville believes that life is one long disappointment, and in his case, an eternal one. He does what he can to keep himself entertained. One example being his choice of a Jamoura for a body. He spends most of his time in his office, either working on his latest Malediction project, or reading books in search of knowledge. Neville has two obsessions and it takes a lot for him to focus on anything else. His obsessions are that of Knowledge and of Pain. It would hardly be a stretch to consider him a sadist, although it is not something he does compulsively. Occasionally, his focuses overlap. When this occurs, he can become increasingly violent and generally inalterable. Long gone are his days of morality and healing. Character History Origianl History Neville Whitevine grew up in love with medicine. So it was natural for him to join the Whitevine Hold. It had always been his dream to find the secret to immortality. Unfortunately, disaster stuck. At the young age of twenty, Neville became deathly ill. The healers of Whitevine were unable to do anything for him, and they left him with his family, saying he only had days to live. But fate still have another cruel turn for his life. In his final days, Nevvile was approached by a man he found out was an animator. The mysterious man, who had entered the city in secret, offered Neville the only thing he had ever dreamed of, eternal life. Neville jumped at the chance, without consideration of the negative effects, physically and mentally. After all, he was a dying man grasping for straws. The animator described a process to him that he would later learn to call the Daek-Nuit. The most important part that the strange man lacked was a body. But Neville was still Whitevine, and thus had access to their cadavers. Late at night, and barely able to walk, Neville snuck in took the freshest body he could find. It was that of an older gentleman whose body had finally succumb to the freezing temperatures of Avanthal. That very night the animator had set up a crude laboratory in which he could conduct the procedure. Neville's body was failing his, and he remembers very little of the process that created his cursed form. All he knows is he awoke with a strange body, a new lease on life, and a small book in his pocket. Inside was all the information he would need to survive as a Nuit, including embalming and the process required to transfer the soul. First Nuit Body - Vantha Neville's first concern was the apparent disappearance of the animator. He had no idea what had happened to him, but he quickly learned that the man had been detained. Apparently someone had found out what he had been doing and had him arrested. Neville knew he had to get out of town, but this was all he had ever known. He searched through the small book he had been given for some clue as to where to go. The only name he could find was Sahova, so that is where he went. It was a long journey, and it was made even more complicated by the fact that he was in an entirely foreign body. By the time he had finally made it to Sahova, he was in desperate need of another body. Luckily, the people there were able to help him and teach him more about his new condition. He spent approximatively the next hundered years learning all he could about the Nuit and how to survive. It was here that most of the emotion damage began to set in. In his lack of need to leave his house, he would stay inside for weeks at a time focus on one thing. This extreme obsession was only the first step in his mental decline. Soon, his obsession would become much more dangerous. Current Body - Jamoura Neville acquired his current form in Alvadas. He was spending time there looking for some entertainment. He had spent the last fifty years of his life moving form place to place and body to body, training his skills. And now, it was time for a trophy. He had heard some people talk about a Jamoura in Alvadas, but he dismissed it off-hand. After all, they were in Alvadas, nothing was as it seemed. Like he suspected, it was simply a person using an illusion to make themselves look like a Jamoura. However, in his quest to find this person, he learned of a Jamoura who had been hiding in Alvadas using the illusions to hide his identity. After some ingenious sleuthing, he found out who it was. It did not take him long of following this person to get them alone. Before the Jamoura knew it, he had been run through and left lying on the ground. Neville was fortunate that, in Alvadas, nothing was that out of the ordinary. So the few people who saw him carrying the body thought little of it. This was his most recent transfer of conscience, but a short time later the authorities began searching for the man. Neville knew that he had to get out of town and fast. He decided to go some place new. Lhavit sounded nice, so that is where he went. There, he bought a small office and set up a malediction office for the shadier clientel of Lhavit. On the left side of the room there is a row a small shelves with various trinkets on them and a bookshelf with only four books on it. There is also a small closet on this side of the room. The opposite side has a table against the wall with a set of manacles securely fastened to it. At one end of the table there is a small basin for water or other fluids. Heirloom: A small journal is the only possession Neville has kept throughout the years. In it, he records each of his kills and writes about them in near-surgical detail.
