Maeki’s animation studio is not exactly grand. It looks just like your regular Lhavitian house, for that is what it was, once upon a time. Its domed roof is by no means extravagant, nor is its decoration. The only thing pronouncing it as anymore than a normal home are the words “Animation Studio!” scrawled across the door in blue paint.
Upon entering, you will find three bedrooms immediately to your right, each relatively bare with only a futon and a chest of drawers. Despite this being the only official animation lab in Lhavit, Maeki is neither honoured nor rich. There is a small cramped kitchen at the back of the house, with a round table and many chairs for the times Maeki has friends over.
On the left side of the entrance hallway, there is the animation studio. Though by no means big by regular standards, it is the biggest room of the house. There is a desk that is often scattered with paper, both clean and written on, and ink pots and pens. Maeki is not known for her organization skills, and whenever the house is cleaned by someone else (often Youchi from the Cosmos Center), it becomes a mess again within two or three days. The animation circles take up the majority of the room; despite it being a fully functioning animation studio, it is rather bare, besides a few tapestries, a fact which always puzzles visitors and friends.

At the age of five, she was apprenticed to the previous animator who owned the Studio, Yagaro Hao, and left her mother and father with no regrets. Despite the love and genuine appreciation she had for what they had done for her, she never went back to see them. Instead, Yagaro became her family.
She was at a loss, then, when Yagaro died when she was 23. Being skilled herself, he bequeathed the studio to her. However, depression sank in for many a year, with Youchi pulling her through day by day. Despite Maeki's sunny disposition, there are times when melancholy grips her for what she has lost. Now, several years later, she has all but healed and is willing to open the doors of the Studio to those who wish to learn animation.
