Appearance: Adisa has long brown, wavy hair that's faded to a warm sun-kissed honey from all her time in the sun. She's has her mother's hazel eyes and her father's short height. Her time in the sun has gifted her a year-round golden tan. Adisa also has a fondness for pretty dresses and bare feet.

✨Character Concept✨

Adisa is lost. She came to Syka to build a life with her husband and then lost him to the life they were building.

She feels crushing guilt over it, which makes it hard for her to focus on her healing work--the very thing she came to Syka to do. Ever since she lost her husband she's been struggling with what to do. Should she stay in Syka and keep working on the dream she came there chasing? Or should she go back home to live with her parents and never look into the jungle again?

It doesn't help that every time she tries to leave, the darkness settles in, shutting her down, making escape seem impossible even if she wanted it. The only way she can leave is to work on the skills that crush her to build.

She wants to be happy. Her love of animals and their owners keep her going. But she's lonely and would love to make friends.

✨Character History✨

Adisa was born in Syliras. Her childhood was loving and filled with happiness. As a small child, she had endless amounts of love and compassion for animals. She wanted to take care of them and nurse them back to health, just like her mother.

In Adisa's eyes her mother had the best job in Mizahar-- an animal healer. She cared for the sick and injured out of her home. The young girl would sit on the floor in their kitchen watching wide-eyed until she was big enough to balance on her own stool and sit at the exam table with her mother. It was then that her mother felt she was old enough to apprentice.

The years that followed were the happiest in Adisa's life. She devoured every skill her mother taught her about treating patients; from giving birth, to soothing their aches and pains with herbs they blended in their kitchen. She even helped with the harder parts; seeing patients through their final bells.

Adisa eventually grew up, fell in love with one of the men who's horses she'd cared for and married him. They had an amazing relationship. He understood her long days and was always there for her at the end of them.

Years passed, until one day her husband came home from a supply run with exciting news. He’d found a flyer posted in the city, about a new settlement looking for skilled help. Her husband thought it would be an amazing opportunity for Adisa. The pair dreamed about the exciting wildlife that might live in the jungle. So unique from the city she was used to.

Adisa fell in love with the idea, but realized she had no idea how to protect herself if she joined the settlement.

The year that followed, she paid to be trained in basic knife skills. It didn't give her much of an advantage, but with all the dangers lurking in the jungle, the short combat lessons boosted her confidence, so the next season, she left for Riverfall, and grabbed the first trade ship to Syka.

When they first arrived, her husband helped her settle in. The adjustment was difficult, but Adisa's dreams were in sight.

Until the day her husband went into the jungle, gathering supplies and never returned.
