Appearance: Celes is a small Svefra woman with light blue eyes, standing a fingernails width over 5’8”. She has a slim, athletic frame with smooth, fair skin. Despite spending most of her time under the sun, she rarely ever tans. Her chestnut auburn hair almost always hangs in loose waves reaching to the bottom of her shoulder blades.

✨Character Concept✨

Celes grew up with salt in her hair and the endless horizon surrounding her. Living on the sea taught her that survival was earned through effort, not luck, and she has made that her motto. She’s always looking to pitch in and help out, to make herself a necessary part of society. Whether that be through manual labour or lending an ear, she approaches everything with quiet determination. She avoids complaining and takes pride in a job well done. She believes that reliability is one of the most valuable traits someone can hold and tries to embody that. 

Years spent with her pod and around coastal communities has lead to Celes developing a cautiousness that she won’t let go of. She’s witness too many tragedies, from her pod members growing overcompetitive to other seafarers letting their overconfidence lead to their demise. Those experiences left a mark on her.

While Celes is far from timid, she carefully weighs possible consequences before acting and prefers to be prepared over improvising when possible, whether for her actions or her words.

Despite her reserved nature, Celes is compassionate and deeply loyal to those she trusts. She recognises that everyone has dealt with hardships and is always willing to pitch in and lend a hand. She’s diligent and hardworking and is somewhat stubborn, never wanting to give up on a task she’s started.

✨Character History✨

Born in the Suvan Sea and raised in the Wavewalker pod, Celes was surrounded by friendly yet reckless Svefra who loved nothing more than a good challenge. Unfortunately this reckless nature had a tendency to take many of her family before their time was up.

Celes decided from a young age that she was determined to help wherever she could, and so she made herself useful to everyone in the Wavewalker pod, taking every opportunity to help out and learn from those around her.

Eventually her desire to help and learn grew beyond the Wavewalker pod and she made the decision to stop by a city for a season or two to try and learn more of what she could.
After making this decision, the first settlement she passed was Syka and she made the choice to briefly leave her pod there.
