Basic information Race: Vantha. Birthday and age: 5th of Winter AV 486, 25 years old. Gender: Male. Physical desripction Although short and slight, this man moves with a bold posture - as if to make up for something in the missing height. He sports a goatee and moustache, along with long dark hair. His hands are covered by fingerless gloves, concealing enchanted glyphs on his palms. His eyes are usually of a jade green tone, although whenever he produces Djed magic, they flare a burning orange. Character Concept What happens when you combine a scoundrel's mind with a magician's capabilities? You get yourself a thief with high ambitions. This small-time mage regards himself superior to other cutpurses, and as such can do very daring attempts of criminality and trickery. It is not so much the value of gold that draws him, but rather the challenge of testing his skills. He will always strive to "raise the stakes", having an almost childish need to outbest himself (and others). If a bet is upon him, all other priorities are secondary to beating it. Fantol revels in his powers of projection, often wasting his amazing talents on prooving how amazing he really is. This deprives him of some rational thinking and reason. He is also a terrible loser and a gloating winner. Only when he meditates and focuses in detaching and reattaching his astral body, can he find true peace from his else-chaotic nature. Character quirks and characterisms - Has a compulsive need to always keep himself occupied with something. Often this involves flipping a coin, tapping his fingers in rhythms, playing with his dagger or anything else that can keep his hands busy. - Lacks common sense and reason. - To feel is his prominent sense. He tends to touch others more than what is perhaps socially accepted. - Fantol suffers mild claustrophobia, and can barely stand closed spaces. Character History He never knew his parents. As a baby, he had been taken into the care of the Master Vendryken, an old wizard who possesed great potency in the arts of projection. Fantol had been left for dead in the woods by his parents, obviously an unwanted child. It was plain luck that his future master found him cradled by the roots of a tree outside Avanthal. The old wizard had lived as a lone hermit in the woods. Whether it was for the company or by his own ethics that the wizard took care of him, Fantol new knew. His master was a patient one, but stern in keeping him away from the city. He had always told Fantol that people there were vicious and deceiving. Even so, Fantol managed to slip inside of Avanthal many times over - his curiousity too strong to be contained. When he had seen 20 winters, Master Vendryken had seen his last. Alone and isolated, Fantol was at a loss, with no surname to string him to a family or any contacts at all. Five winters passed. He was unable to accustome himself to society as a prober citizen, and ended up using his abilities in small-time thefts instead to make a living. He found it to be a both profitable and exciting habit, so he has continued to live as such and create an artform of it. Yet even this scoundrel has an honest goal, besides finding accept from others by his daring exploits. He seeks clues regarding the identity of his parents. Especially as to why they choose to abandon him on his night of birth.
