Physical Information, Description, and Personality

[*] Race ~ Mixed Breed (Inarta Father and Eypharian Mother)
[*] Sex ~ Male
[*] Age ~ 24

[*] Description
Lithe and agile Sedel has the beauty of his mother with the physical attributes of his father. To take away from the beauty and make himself much more handsome, mysterious, and rough he often has a light full beard that he trims regularly. His lightly tanned skin tone, dark hair, and dark eyes combined with a mysterious aura about him, add to his ability to entice the more curious, adventurous women of any village. At five foot ten and a hundred sixty pounds, with lithe muscle, Sedel has a toned body. Though muscular, he does not have an overbearing presence of visible muscle that would hamper his agile ability. The majority of his muscle is in his arms, especially his bow arm, needed to draw the string.

[*] Personality
Having been born of an unusual coupling Sedel was not very popular, nor did many other children want to be his friend. A loner by nature, or more likely by environment, he was always a withdrawn child who sought solitude rather than the social hubs. The woods were more of his home than his actual home, which after seven years became broken, giving him even more reason to seek refuge elsewhere. Very close to his father, never growing too close to his mother, he inherited the man’s rash, headstrong, bold spirit and his fiery passion for debate and stubbornness. And, like his father, though more of a loner, Sedel loves to involve himself in dangerous situations.

Like both of his parents, he inherited a very flowery, elaborate way of speaking to others; an incredible skill at persuasion that either got him what he wanted or got him in real trouble. It was this natural talent he tested and increased in aptitude following the divorce of his parents, when his father and he were journeymen from town to town. They were never in one place for more than a year, and without a home, Sedel never was attached to one place and could never attach himself to anyone but his father who he worshipped. The man taught him everything he knew, falconry, archery, and how to survive as an outcast.

Being on the road, though at times lonely, Sedel felt more alive as he was not the child of an odd coupling anymore. And, an added plus, he was now becoming quite a handsome young man, taking more of the physical features of his Eypharian mother than his father. Like his father, in his later teens Sedel found the man’s lust for adventure and for adventurous women. Though it more often than not got them run out of town, the two had their fair share of women in all towns they visited. But, this lifestyle, and learning from his father, turned Sedel in the type to love them and leave them, not being able to settle down or form a true attachment. That is not to say he cannot love, he has, but those he had (or thought he did) were always taken from him.

[*]Ethics
Often called swindlers, cheats, and gamblers, Sedel unfortunately inherited the persona of his father. However, Sedel was not entirely the same man as him. Yes, he did swindle, cheat, and gamble, but he only did so with those who deserved it or if he was in deep trouble. Like his father who rushes into danger, Sedel does the same, and for the better good. A woman in trouble? He’ll jump in. An old man needing help cutting wood? He’ll help out. A caravan being robbed? He’ll change their attitude. But, what he won’t do is get involved in politics or mess with the law, that’s just too messy for him. Overall, he is good, or more often in the gray, the situation depending.

[*]Likes and Dislikes
Likes – Nature, the quiet of solitude, the touch of a woman, the draw of his bow, the bottom of a mug, and the flight of his winged companion.

Dislikes – Politics, war, Inarta who worship Wind Reach class, angry fathers, confinement

Character History

Pre-Creation
Sedel re Kavolla is a man with a name unlike most others as he is a son of a coupling between an Innara and an Eypharian. It was only after great bickering and fighting that a pleased man gave into a multi-armed woman’s insistence that their son take on her name. As a Scepter, the Eypharian king's representative in Wind Reach, and a member of the Gilded it was only by sheer chance they had met in the first place. However, that chance meeting brought about a love between the two that could not be broken by the rules of Wind Reach.

It was not long after his birth that chaos engulfed the young couple as Isaha re Kavolla had created a firestorm in Wind Reach by insulting the Eagle Riders over a local issue. Eypharians, and especially one like his mother, struggle to back down from their position which they know is right, but the same goes for the mentality of the Eagle Riders. An impasse was reached and Isaha's fate was in debate. Knowing that it would not turn well and knowing his wife would not relent or apologize, Ashad fled with his son and Isaha, ordered then to return to her home city.

This incident is what created the collapse of Isaha’s rise, and bringing with her an Inarta husband and mixed child did not help. Though she was not an outcast in her own society Sedel and his father Ashad were, even after years living amongst them. No matter what Isaha did the two were never accepted, outcasts in their own home, and soon to be outcasts by their own mother and wife. Finally, tired of the insults and status as a low class citizen, a status Ashad had risen out of in Wind Reach, Ashad packed up their things and left in the night with his son, leaving Isaha a simple letter.

On the road for years, moving from the village to village, Ashad raised Sedel by himself, though there other women from time to time who took on a motherly role. When they left, Sedel had been ten years old and knew why they had left, he knew they were outcasts. He had not been sad when he left either, in fact, he had never been happier. Plus, he had never truly loved his mother and he was not entirely sure why. The road life was fun and exciting, he worshipped his father and the man taught him everything he knew, how to survive, archery, and most importantly, falconry. When he was only eleven Sedel got his first winged companion, a magpie.

In each new town Ashad continued formal education and started making new friends, but he always knew that it would not last long. Either his father would decide to move on or they would be run out of town. It was a hard life he was forced to live, but being with his father was all that mattered to him. It was also a very eventful life, full of danger and adventure, something he found he loved more than a sheltered, normal life could provide.

There had been many close calls in his young life, but they had always managed to get out of it somehow and they remained a team until Sedel turned nineteen and they had been in Sunberth for more than a year. It was there that Ashad had met a young widow, a mere eight years older than Sedel. On the anniversary of their first year being in the city, a span of five months longer than they had been in any city before, the young Ellie gave birth to Ashad’s triplets. That was when Sedel knew this was it for the traveling days of his father, who was now forty and the father of three young children. Sedel tried to follow in line, happy that he now had a bigger family, but the life was just not for him and so he left, now off on his own.

Now three years later, with a new goshawk, he named Kal, Sedel finds himself entering a new city, the city of Ravok. His sense of danger and adventure seemed to bring him here.
