DESCRIPTION: Right at the shore of Silver Lake there is a small house that, although it doesn’t look like it at first sight, has developed a spa, resort as well as hotel services in a single location. It is built of white stone, but ivy and other climbing plants have made their way up the bricks, giving the place a cozy and rural atmosphere, although it is just a short walk away from town. Nevertheless, that fact is certainly one of the reasons for its popularity. The location contains a main house where the owner’s family and staff live and a little outbuilding where four rooms with each two beds are provided for guests. The Silver Lake Lodge is a family business, owned by a friendly Akalak and an elegant Konti while their three kids help with the household and occasionally serve customers. Their business provides lodging, food as well as a small beach to go swimming at the Lake and a couple of minor services such as massage, meditation and even a few basic lessons in martial arts for self-defending purposes. However, the most famous and popular service is that of divination. The matriarch of the house is a distant cousin of the Timandre family that is known and respected for three generations of brilliant seers and advisers. Her gift is exceptionally strong and clear, allowing her to see the future of every person she touches – but only once and for a high prize. However, people who visit the Silver Lake Lodge soon recognize that Kalai is the good spirit behind the business. She serves customers, does the household, commands the children to help and her husband as well – although Thaporros would never openly admit that. But the only way Kalai could become so strong was to abandon her family, to break with their tradition, because earning money for working with Avalis’ gift is very much frowned upon. These days, she hardly ever looks back, but when she does there are few good memories. Also, she gave up the comfort and experience of her ancestors with Divination and thus had to get used to it supported by the mere love and help of her husband. Being exceptionally sensitive, she always wears a pair of long, white gloves to protect her hands from the impressions around her. When someone wishes a prophecy, of course Kalai removes them and touches their skin with a light-hearted smile, although she suffers from the intensity of the pictures every time. After all, she is just glad to provide advice for them. However, her family didn’t approve of their business plan and so they had to develop the Silver Lake Lodge without any help from others. He might appear fierce and stern at first sight, but is very kind and understand on the inside. Sometimes his second, violent Akalak personality touches the surface of his consciousness, causing him to feel angry and destructible for no reason – then he usually wanders away from the Lake, deep into the north of Konti Isle and returns when he has calmed down again. He is very glad that Kalai understands his weakness and need to be alone for a few days and returns her love by caring for and listening to her.
