Rule one of Fight Club? (Zarek & Drayton)

17th day of Summer 511 AV

You just don't talk about it. Underground fighting actually, even in a lawless place like Sunberth. Fighting was dangerous. Even more when the combat has no rules. Now Tall Johnny's? Now that was a good place. As bloody as things got, people won't die. Not unless things really got out of hand and the casino did not do their job. So why now would Bob waste his time looking for this group he only heard in whispers when he could be over there? Because he heard that the action here is a lot more fresh.

It wasn't that hard to learn about them for sure. A group of youths were bragging in the streets excitedly on how one of their recent gatherings turned out. Talking about a new bruise or a broken bone he had gotten nearly half a season ago. It got so heated up that Bob went up to them with a smile on his face. "I can't help but overhear. It was so exciting. I didn't know Tall Johnny's allowed little kids to fight." Maybe Bob should not have called them little kids because when he did he found all of them glaring at him.

They were suspicious of his intentions so it was hard to learn anything. One told him "Tall Johnny is no friend, and we only invite friends. So bugger off stranger!" Funny. What kind of weird people fights with their own friends? Bob did have experiences like those a few times but it was for sparring. Friends testing themselves so maybe these kids were the same? There could be some interesting people to meet there.

A piece of silver flashed out in Bob's hand while he waved it at the boy. "Well, so I want to be your friend. Just like Silver here. Oh, how much he wants to spend some time with you." Bob said with a grin. As a newcomer in Sunberth, to be able to get acquainted with the action would be a good thing. Especially when your only "friends" are at Killroy's. A little silver isn't going to be missed when he gets a lifetime's experience to accompany him. The boy snatched the miza and told Bob about the next time their little club was going to meet. But with a warning though he and Bob may be friends for now, it might not be the same with his other friends.

Bob was walking towards the place the boy told him about a week or so later. "This must be the right place." Bob said when he heard the sounds of excited cheering. "Well, lets hope that I get to watch and not get drawn into anything." holding on to his cane and walking forward. Hoping to be able to find an interesting experience he was looking for.
