[Solo] Time Lies Still

28th day of Fall, 511

Miro woke up early today and began doing push ups. He was getting his body ready for training again. He took to putting on his new robe, outfitted with cane, staff and water pack. He walked to the table and opened his staff up. Focusing his djed into res still felt off, but with some work and time, he could make it. After a few chimes passed the staff was full. Focusing he pushed the res in, and was able to cork it. He focused his mind, lifting up the res, staff and all. Using both hands, he guided it around the room and back to his hands. He slowly let himself produce res all over his body, stinging slightly as it was produced.

He barged through the front door, walking with purpose in his stride. There was one place he had been meaning to visit. A place he had visited once before. Verlyna's Emerald Pond, the hypnotist resting spot. He arrived after a bell or two passed, he had plenty of time to think to himself. The green water shimmered in the light, it was beautiful. He removed the cork from his staff and let out what was left of his res to move over the water. He gathered up an amount then pulled it back to him. He felt weird after the res came in contact with the water. Suddenly thoughts plagued his mind, knocking the faint headache away. "What are you doing here? What are you doing? Why don't you swim? You should have fun! This place is fun, don't leave." They came at him one after another some repeating, then in the end only one stayed. "Don't leave!" The thought repeated over and over again.

Miro pulled the water back and struggled to hold onto the mass. He pulled his water pack open and filled it using all of his water and res. He left his res in there to decay, disperse the remaining djed into the water. He capped it and let if fall to rest around his hip. He grabbed the now empty staff and walked up the the edge of the pond. He sat down and leaned forward to look in at the green water. As he stared at himself in the water, he felt uneasy, as if he may become fatigued or suddenly lose balance. Clenching the staff in his right hand he carefully brought his hand forward. He dipped it in, just as his other hand lost its grip. He fell in the pond, from the waist up. As he was under he reached his left hand around the edge trying to find a grip. His hand wrapped firmly around a root and he concentrated his djed to his arm, using the Flux to force himself out of the water.

Miro laid back with the staff in hand, paying careful attention not to spill the water. He grabbed the cork and pressed it firmly in place. He wiped his face and tried to focus his remaining djed to his hand. He made a firm ball several inches in in length. Moving it around his wet clothing, he dried his robe off. The large wet ball or res was siting in the air beyond Miro. He froze it and let it fall into the water with a splash. He picked up the staff, and started heading back to town. A few bells later, he would return to town. The afternoon was still young and Miro still had things to do.

[Solo] Time Lies Still

Returning to his room, Miro grabbed the scrollcases from his shelf. He would start by preparing his new attack, Diamond Dust. He produced a ball of res the size of his fist and split it into eight smaller parts. Moving his hands around the sides he shaped it. Flicking his wrist, he made the corners. He split them into thirty-two small perfectly shaped diamonds then transmuted them to ice. He stored them in one of the cases. It filled up a small portion of the case. Once the time came he could land it on res and propel it forward by transmuting it to wind reimancy. Perhaps he could fill the cases with the ice, then coat them in a thick res, making the attack quick to enact.

Miro began making more and more tiny sharp ice diamonds, until the first scrollcase filled. He then proceeded to fill up the other, only filling it half way. He began to rub his hands together, readying his djed. With a few motions his produced a decent amount of res. It was not too thick, nor too great in mass. A thought popped into Miro's mind. He took a part of the res and put it in his mouth, he loosened the consistency to that of air, then inhaled deeply. Exhaling he transmuted it to a strong wind. It soared out, whooshing as it left his lungs. The force drove him back, sweeping him off of his feet. He hit his head hard on the floor. The res came splashing down after him. "I can blow it quite hard, but that will also mean it will push me back just as hard."

Standing back up, he resumed his previous workings. He gathered up his res, compacted it and slid into into the more filled of the case. He grabbed both cases and moved outside. He moved up to a simple training dummy. He removed his res and the ice that lay in his scrollcase. He began to spin it and assumed the stance. Shooting his fist forward yelling "SHO" sending the res forward and transmuting it. The attack screeched for a second leaving a fairly large field of shiny ice dust. a few moments later the cloud cleared and he viewed the damage to the dummy. It has a crazy amount of shallow cuts, cutting nearly every area on the side. He noted that the cuts were not very deep, a fraction of a centimeter at the deepest.

Miro focused hard now making res as thickly and compacted as he could. He moved his res into the scrollcase and let it mix with the only partially filled container. He moved his res out and began to spin it rapidly. The increased amount of res, and the thickness he was able to achieved aided his control greatly. He assumed his stance, arm cocked back and took aim at a new target. He let his attack fly while screaming his incantation. The attack spun forward with an amazing amount of power. There was only a small cloud of dust and it cleared quickly. He inspected the damage to see how deadly it appeared. There were less than half of the cuts, but their depth was much better. Some were around an inch deep. The dummy had several deep scars, it appeared as if it may start to fall apart at any moment.

Miro smiled and thought of how much more effective the attack would be with so much force in it.. "I wonder if i focused on one large ice shard." Miro began to make a large ball of res. This time instead of shaping the mass, he would compact it into the shape he wanted. He used his hands to compact the shape into a wheel of sorts. He focused his mind now, the had part was coming up. He packed the sides down into 4 adjacent points. The sides were rounded with a point at each side. He concentrated on one point now, thinking how to get it right. Pressing with his mind, he made the sides collapse into four smaller adjacent sides, creating an X shape. The point was very sharp looking and the res was starting to become solid. Repeating this, he made all four spokes in this shape. In the center he made a hole, large enough for his to fit his hand in. When he would add wind to it, the weapon would catch it and carry it and spin. When it would be launched it would travel forward with precision. A hit from this would be devastating, perhaps even with armor on.

He transmuted it into a thick, sturdy ice. He took a deep breath, he had been lucky today not to have the headache hurt him, but now it was hitting him with a crazy amount of force. He clenched his head and the ice. He worked on producing res from his hand, he was starting to feel a bit spent, but he needed to press on just a little longer. A thin cloud of res appeared about him weapon. He began slowly rotating it, allowing his blade to spin around his hand with it. His his throbbed from the pain, hitting his mind full force. The movements of his res slowed, a few chimes later the pain became manageable. He focused again, moving his res faster and faster. He pulled his arm back and lowered his body. Focusing a little djed to his arm he readied the Flux. He surged power into his arms as he sent the blade flying towards the dummy. He guided it for a moment using his res, then transmuted it.

As soon as the res became wind it moved so fast Miro's eyes could no longer follow it. He looked over at the dummy. His mouth dropped as he saw the piece of ice fall to the ground behind it. "Did it just roll off? It looked like it was going to work!" Miro ran over, inspecting the damage done to the dummy. To one side, something looked off. He got close and looked in what appeared to be a hole. No, it wasn't a hole, there was ice still in it. Not only stuck in it, but stuck through it! He walked over to the other side and saw the blade stabbing out the hind side. "It broke after hitting it so hard!" He smiled and looked down at the nearly shattered weapon. Once the first part had broken off, it became extremely fragile. The fall was enough to destroy it.

Miro started to feel faint. He grabbed his things and took them inside. "Time for a nap, I am beat." He said a silent prayer to morwen then took a long well deserved nap.
