The waves were a bitter cold, lapping at her feet. Her hands rubbed the side of arms, tracing the bumps. Long hair was matted, full of sea scent and salt, and covering her face.

Sonya did not care.

Not for the chill, nor the wind, or that she had barely moved since she was washed ashore. There were dim memories, of a life that she once had in the form she now reside in.

She wanted to go home.

Back to the realm that was bright, full of sunlight and warmth, not
the growing cold as autumn slowly faded.

But as the night passed, with the moon growing closer to the horizon, she knew. Why would Snya come for her now? Not after so long has passed, not in the form she was in. Standing up on shaking legs, she stumble a bit as she walked along the ocean. There must be a way to return.

The echo of such great beauty lingered in her mind, with music that no longer could be heard or uttered here.
