She has a fragile yet thoughtful appearance, and her milky skin seems to shimmer in the light. Delicate scales coat the soles of her feet, and speckle her ankles. ❖ Pre-Creation History Avina has lived in the Konti City of Mura all her life. A deeply introspective person while alone, attuned to the elements around her, she constantly prays to Avalis for her sustenance, and refers to her withered tarot cards for the answers she cannot find. All she knows of her father was that he was a man from Lhavit, and presumably still alive. She was closest to her grandmother, with whom she shared all her secrets, and learnt the arts of tarot and medicine. Her relationship with her mother is more strained. Avina is graceful in social situations, but by no means shy. She moved out of her mother's home reasonably young by Konti standards. Wanting details on her father, and not receiving them from her mother, had led to many a quarrel. Her argumentative relationship with her mother is unusual among the maternal Konti, since Avina has almost retreated from the maternal web of Mura. Adventurous at heart, Avina often swims round the shoreline, exploring the coast and coves. Though part of her would like to leave Mura one day, she still feels like she needs to spend more time in her birth place. Her Gift attunes her to the natural song around her, and that melody is as good a root as any. The deepest part of her is her faith. She feels strongly about her heritage, and having been marked by the Goddess, Avalis will always share a part of her spirit. Laviku and his temperance over the sea means a lot to her, and as she learns more about medicine, her burgeoning faith in Rak'keli grows also. ❖ History in the Making Avina has spent all of her youth in Mura, the pull to leave growing stronger by the day. She has made friends on the Konti Isle, but it was Faraluun who sparked her interested and ignited that burning desire to travel. Still, she wanted a reason to leave the White Isle behind. She needed a motivation that was not simply a wanderlust. She wanted a purpose to her travels. That reason came with V'nessi's visions of the djed storm. She herself had felt inkling's of Ivak's release, her gift telling her that something was going to happen. The very air had tightened, screaming, sweating, in the days before the storm. Avina joined the large group of Konti messengers and healers, and travelled to Zeltiva with them.
