The only place in the city Razeni had to stay was Safe Haven. After getting off his night watch duty Shadekas had went back by The Blinding Light and picked up Nightwish, saddling the stallion and carefully leading him through the city. Shade also packed a saddlebag filled with breakfast of dried meat, bread, and fruit along with a wineskin. The cobbles were alight with the sheen of fresh rain, glittering off the lamps the lamplighter hadn't quite managed to come around and snuff out yet. Almost no one was about. Shade liked the solitude, liked the stillness of the city that was broken up only by the soft fall of Nightwish's hooves on the stone.

Occasionally, the morning birds called, slowly waking up and alerting each other of the coming dawn. The rain of the night had cleared and the promise of the new day looked as if it would break clear if not a bit cold. It would be a good day to ride through the quarry out past the city and down to where the stone fell away to sand beaches.

Now, all Shade needed was someone to ride with.

He hoped to catch the girl at breakfast or just a little before and offer to take her on a ride, escorting her around the surrounding area and down to the beach. It was still dark, though the sky was lightening slowly. Shade traversed the Western Quarter until he hit the Celestial Square and then found the Safe Haven. He tethered Wish up against the hitching post and slipped inside. He found a seat in the corner, knowing that the girl - unless she slept on the ground and camped outside the city - would come in for breakfast sooner or later.

Shade was patient. He was wide awake. Sleep wouldn't come until later in the day. And if the girl never decided to put in an appearance, that was alright. He'd go riding himself.

A Dawn Ride (Razeni/Open)

Always having been an early riser, Razeni was up before the sun. Finished with the normal routine of washing and preparing for the day, she tried to inspect herself in the cloudy mirror provided by the establishment. The lighting poor as there were only the one dim lamp provided, shadows were cast across the small, sparsely furnished room that she had rented at Safe Haven. Not being picky at the moment, she does not complain. At least she was able to sleep off of the ground and her horse properly sheltered and cared for. She had thought about it and decided she may as well stay for an extra day, allowing herself and Ruze a respite from the elements of this season.

Glancing out of the only window in the room, she gazed dreamily out through the square patches of dirty glass toward the street, her eyes drifted in a daydream. She thought of her Father and home, missing the comforts of it. A faint smile innocently washed across her lips, pulling the corners back showing the rare occurence of her deepset dimples. She softly ran the brush through her tresses, the brush not being met with any obstruction it slid smoothly bringing a shine. Surprisingly, even through her ruminations, she noticed that the rain had stopped hearing only the occasional drip of water falling outside from the roof. The cobblestones looked slick from the wetness, the lights of the streetlamps illuminated as much of the street as they could. Faintly the rising sun beginning to make its presence known, she saw a large shadow darker than the rest moving towards where she was. Stopping her grooming she leaned closer to the window as if it would help her see better, she made out two figures: One looking like the shape of a man and the other in the shape of a steed. Her curiosity piqued, she continued to track the progress of this person.

The man became visible once he reached the closest streetlamp, Razeni smirked to see that it was the helpful gentleman from the day before. The only thought that came to her mind at seeing him was how kind and helpful he had been to her. Her face warmed at the afterthought of him being someone she might like to get to know better. She wondered where he was heading, but shaking the thought she turned from the window and lightly tossed the brush onto the neatly made bed. With one final inspection before leaving, she strode satisfied out the door. Closing it firmly behind her, with a swift twist she checked to make sure it had locked.

Tossing the cloak around her shoulders, it flared out and behind her to fall and rest in the intended place. Razeni pulled the opening closer together, she tyed the strings in a bow. Strutting toward the entrance of the Hostel she walked with a purposeful and steady pace, her steps evenly spaced. Reaching what seemed to be the front lobby she halted in her steps, the sight of the monk gave her a pleasant surprise. Recovering she moved on slowing her pace somewhat as it seemed that without a second thought she would go ahead and greet the man, 'Why not?', she asked herself. He had been so kind to show her to shelter.

"Well, good morning, Sir." She greeted him with a sweet smile, her eyes friendly. She stood before him, her stance lax as she were in the company of a monk, protector of the denizens of this city. Razeni waited for the reply, wondering what may come out of this, so she thought to be, chance meeting.

Shadekas smiled slowly up at the lady from his seat in the corner. He rose out of deference to her, offering her a chair. She'd put in an appearance early and seemed to be well rested. He'd changed out of his robes and was wearing leather riding pants, long shiny boots and linen shirt tucked in with a belt. He had a warm clock draped over his chair and was sipping a hot cider.

"Greetings. I trust you rested well. I just got off the night watch and decided to go for a ride. I was hoping to catch you here to see if you wanted to go. I thought maybe you'd like a guide and perhaps a little tour." He said, pausing and reassuming a magnanimous expression.

The Xannos monk resumed his seat then, settling carefully into its folds. Shade didn't just occupy the corner. He seemed to make it his own. Bright blue eyes met hers though his expression was relaxed and curious. There was no pressure in them nor any predatory look. "I even have a saddlebag filled with enough foodstuffs to break our fast." He added, not knowing if they woman would understand the generosity of hte gesture or not.

With a grateful nod she accepted the seat offered, sensing that they may not be leaving right away she unfastened her cloak as she lowered herself into the chair. Raising both of her hands to her shoulders, she slid them under the cloak continuing to push it off and over the backing of the chair. The sound of the material slumped as it fell, a slight rush of wind blew past her. Her eyes raked over his appearance, appreciating the care he took to dress himself. Razeni always having an eye for cleanliness and neatness. She hoped that her expression did not give away any of her thoughts, for she could not help but notice the attractiveness of this man. Herself being unfamiliar and ignorant to the ways of flirtation, she hadn't ever pressed the matter. She remained innocent and naive, though in her travels she had witnessed many scenes, but personally she hadn't had any reason to flirt or draw a man's attention. It seemed she did that all without her knowledge, it coming naturally.

Once adjusted and comfortable in her seat, she leaned forward resting the palm of her hands atop the table they sat at, resting them at opposite elbows. Her bright green irises fixed on him, a small smile lingered across her lips. Her fair skin evident in the lighted room, the rosiness of her soft lips glossy with the moisture she supplied by running the tip of her pink tongue from one corner to the other. Golden-brown curls fell around her face with strands falling forward on either side of her.

"Greetings, Sir. Yes, I rested quite well, thank you. I do hope the rest of your watch carried on without any problems." She ended the sentence with a questioning tone, though it was a comment. She continued in her melodic tone, "I appreciate the thoughtfulness you extend to myself, for I would very much enjoy a ride. And, a tour would be splendid and very helpful."

She watched as he reclaimed his seat, the smoothness of his movements and the confidence he exuded were refreshing to her for the reason that it made her feel.. safe. For once she didn't feel that she had to keep watch over her shoulder, that she would be able to relax and be herself. Which, also for once, she actually felt like doing. With a carefree expression she listened further, entranced by the brilliance of his eyes. She mentally chastised herself, 'Razeni, get a hold of yourself, you are acting like a young girl with a crush.' Lowering her gaze for a moment before she replied, "It seems you are very well prepared for this venture, and your generosity of what you offer does not go unnoticed." Razeni pauses for a moment then continued, "By the way, I am Razeni. You are..." She trails off allowing him time to fill in the rest.

Shadekas watched her with half lidded lazy eyes. He'd mastered expressions such as the one he was using long ago to put people at ease. Some of his brothers tended to stare down people they were trying to befriend and it always didn't go over well. And while this woman was definitely someone he wanted to get to know, he had very little predatory intentions in life, and Semele knew she was not one of them. "I confess I was hopeful you'd agree to join me. I can tell you are a visitor to this city and since we get so few strangers here, news of the outside is always welcome." He watched her settle and gestured for the barmaid to bring another warm cider. It wouldn't be light for another hour which was by and large perfect timing. He wanted to show her a specific point on the peninsula down the coast where the sun rose over the ocean. It was beautiful, like she was, and the proper thing to show someone visiting Nyka.

"I gave you my proper name when we first met, but I'd really prefer you call me Shade. You're name is lovely. Does it have meaning?" He asked carefully. Some people were cautious of their names and meanings. But Shade always had a curiosity to know what was behind them. His agenda called for a few minutes to get warm and talk, but they'd need to be in the saddle soon. "We'll skip breaking fast because I've food for the road with me, better than what they serve her anyhow." He added dropping his voice.

He sat with her, companionable, letting her fully wake and get some warm liquid in her before suggesting they get moving. Once she was done asking him any questions she wanted too, which of course he'd answer, Shadekas politely settled up for the ciders and waited for her out front. Talking was best done riding, and they had a bit of ground to cover before the light of Syna showed itself and struck the city.

Once she'd gotten her horse saddled and brought around, he'd slip his foot in the stirrup and mount up. Turning Wish towards the western quarter, Shadekas would make introductions. "This is Nightwish. He's a mixed breed - half nightwalker half colorsplash - but I'm only just learning how to ride so forgive my poor performance. Most Monks walk, but in my line of work I need to be able to cover ground. Wish affords me that transportation." He added, reining the horse around a fruit cart half blocking the street. For the most part they were able to ride two abreast across Nyka headed for the main gates.

"Nyka is divided into four quarters and one neutral ground, being the Celestial Square you were just in located in the center. I am a Xannos Monk so I am only allowed to safely traverse my own quarter, the Western one, else I would not be able to ride openly with you for the gate like this. The gate lies in the Western Quarter." He pointed out helpfully. "Other orders patrol other parts of the city. Each of our faction are divided into what we do. The Xannos are craftsman for the most part. I am a jeweler." He added, then broke off speaking as Wish needed some attention. The streets were still dark, illuminated only by the glow of the lamps which the lamplighters had not gotten around to extinguishing since dawn hadn't broken yet. It was a dry cold predawn morning with tendrils of fog trailing everywhere. Shade pulled his cloak more tightly around him, draping the remainder of it over Nightwish's rump offering the stallion some warmth as well.

They soon passed out of the gate and slowly circled around the city with Shadekas pointing out features as they went: the Quarry, the Walls, and even the Habor when they overlooked it up on the cliff. Sometimes they were forced to ride single file, but most often he was pressed knee to knee with Razeni. When they were clear of the city and well on their way he carefully started asking her questions. "So, my lady, where are you from and what brings you to Nyka of all places?" He asked, curiously.

A Dawn Ride (Razeni/Open)

As Razeni reclined in the simple wooden chair, her gaze remained on the gentleman before her. A steaming cup of cider appeared before her transported by the barmaid, the woman placed it on the table to the right side of her. Razeni peered up to the portly and somewhat disheveled woman with a grateful smile and nod, the body language easily readable. Once they were left alone once again, she rested her hands around the warmth of the cup. The aroma wafting upward filled her senses with the spice and sweetness of the brew, raising the cup to her lips she blew on the liquid to cool it before sipping. The warm liquid slid past her lips and over her palate to radiate the heat throughout her body, she smiled and looked to Shade lowering the cup to set it in front of her. "Thank you very much for the warm cider, Shade. It is greatly appreciated." Her head tilted softly as she thought about the reply to his question about the meaning of her name, the usual bright green of her irises seemed to darken briefly with the thought of it. It would of only been a flash, if someone weren't paying attention they would of missed the change. The cup became the focus point of Razeni as she ran a fingertip along one side of the brim back and forth.

Picking the conversation back up she returned her gaze to Shade, "Well..." A momentary pause silenced her, then with a quick inhale as if to bring support to her she continued. "I was named Razeni for the fact that my Mother perished during birthing me, she disregarded the risk of morphing while so far along in pregnancy. My name means 'Shifter'." Picking the drink up she took another sip from it, allowing the warmth to consume her. She smiled at Shade the drink suspended before her, she hoped that the answer was enough.

With the mention of food her stomach chose that time to make itself heard, a low rumble being heard clearly by her. With a swift nip she bit her lip then released it, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. Razeni downs the rest of the brew and placed the empty cup upon the table. "Okay, no problem, that sounds wonderful. I do not mind waiting to break our fast while we are on our way, I find your generosity and thoughtfulness a kind gesture." Still warming up to her seemingly new found friend, she had few words to offer.

Knowing the time to carry on with their trek drew near, she rose from her seat and wrapped her shoulders with her cloak fastening it securely. She watched as Shade moved to settle the tab, then she herself strode out the doorway to procure her steed. With Ruze fed and saddled she mounted the stallion easy enough, from much experience she obtained through her travels. The horse side-stepped a few paces, which she allowed before reigning him in giving a cluck with her tongue for him to move forward. She joined her riding partner out front, the open brisk air bringing her senses to life and a sparkle to her eyes.

Razeni smiled as Shade sat astride his own steed, she allowed Ruze to become acquainted with Nightwish. "Nightwish is a magnificent horse. This is Ruze, he is full Colorsplash. He has been in the family mostly used for farming and hauling, but my Father gave him to me for my 'adventure.'" She giggled softly, prompting Ruze to step closer to Nightwish that she could give a pat to him on his muscular neck in greeting. "It seems you are doing well enough in the saddle, Shade. If you are not that experienced you hide it pretty well."

Setting off toward the gate, she listened intently to the descriptions and names of the different scenarios they passed through or by. She found him to be very informative and knowledgable, she also couldn't ignore the pride he took in what he did to fulfill his obligation as Monk. Her breath visible as it rushed out from her parted lips, she thought it was good that she used the larger blanket to place under the saddle to offer some warmth to Ruze. Enjoying the tour, and also the company, she was beginning to feel more familiar with the area around her. Having someone to talk with felt like such a change from the silence she had grown accustomed to, besides the nickers and snorts Ruze offered as she spoke out loud to him.

The closeness of man and horse brought an awareness to her, one new to her. She didn't know how to define it, for she hadn't had a Motherly influence in her growing up. Razeni dismissed it deciding to ponder on it at another time. "I am from the city of Lhavit, the region of Kalea. I left my Father two Summers ago to sate my curiosity of the world we live in. I am passing through actually, the reason I came to the city was to replenish some of my supplies. Have you always lived here in Nyka?" She allowed Ruze to walk alongside Nightwish, her glances turning toward Shade periodically during their conversation.

Shade nodded to Razeni, reined Wish over as the street narrowed, and then passed an intersection and turned so they rode out the gates. "Do you keep in touch with your father? I would worry letting a daughter out in the world, especially this one, without being with her." He said, glancing at the eastern sky. It hadn't yet begun to lighten, which somehow seemed important to Shade. Now that they were out of the city, it was pitch dark though the darkness had an odd quality to it that indicated dawn wasn't far off. He nudged Wish into a trot, trusting both horses to see better than he could in the dark. and turned them north to ride up the coast on a thin road that was more of a goat track than anything else.

"Yes. My father was an Uphiss monk and my mother a candlemaker here. They were both killed when I was five in an attack of greenwing flyers. I moved to the quarry and became a messenger boy there for most of my childhood until I passed my Selection Test and joined the Monkhood. It's a good life. I joined to pursue my passion in jewelry making and metal arts. It's a fine honor to serve Xannos this way. It means I'm doing something for someone else rather than just myself." Shadekas replied, knowing the terrain was easier going, so he urged Nightwish into a canter. The track was wide enough they could ride side by side now.

When they'd gone about two miles, Shadekas slowed Wish and brought him to a walk not wanting to miss the turnoff in the dark. "Tell me about Lhavit? I've heard of it, of course, but nothing substantial. It's known as the city of the stars, but I do not know why." He said, then paused, pointing in the slowly lightening sky. There wasn't a cloud in sight but the stars were slowly winking out above them. She could see his gesture then, but just barely as he turned Wish off the main road. They followed an almost invisible deer trail to what looked like a rocky bluff. She could hear the sea beyond but could not see it.

Shade dismounted and pulled hobbles from Wish' saddlebags. Quickly he hobbled the stallion, pulling his tack off and letting him graze. "We need to be quick or we are going to miss it..." Shadekas said, urging Razeni to do the same. Then, when she was ready he took her hand and lead her up the bluff on a narrow rocky trail that seemed to wrap around the stone bluff towards some destination facing the sea. It was still dark enough that Shade kept a good grip on her hand and she'd realize why after a few steps up the trail. It was treacherous even for a surefooted human in the darkness. After only a few feet, it dropped off sharply on one side and hugged the bluff on another - a narrow trail carved out of stone against a stone ridge - and spiraled upwards. They walked for a few chimes, fifteen in all, and were suddenly out on a narrow shelf that faced the sea.

The sky was lightening fast now, most of the stars gone, and the sea had taken on a purple hue. Wind whipped at them and Shade gently and calmly wrapped his arms around Razeni and pulled her tight against him - her back to his chest both of them facing the sea - and stepped back so his back was against the cliff. He was very gentle, his hands only encircling her waist and holding her securely against the length of his warmth as he pressed against the rock wall behind them. There was no room to move and the wind was blowing strongly from the north. "Hold still. It's not an easy perch nor is there a lot of room for two people up here. But you are safe if you hold still." His lips had materialized by her right ear as his big form sheltered her. Any closer and he'd be nuzzling her neck. The wind wasn't so cold standing against his body and suddenly there seemed to be more room on the little shelf they stood on. He was hard against her back, his whole body solid muscle. She could hear the sea crashing below and could tell there was no room to struggle without the danger of falling on the tiny shelf they stood on.

"I wanted you to see this. Hear it too... if the wind dies down. It should, just at the moment the sun rises." His breath was warm and smelled slightly of cider. His warmth radiated through her as he released her with one arm and locked the other one even more tightly around her, though not tight enough to hinder her breath. His free arm materialized at her left cheek and beyond, pointing to the horizon.

The wind died abruptly then and she was infused with his scent, a male spice that enfolded her, as the dim light brightened slightly and she could see that he was pointing out to sea.

"Look. Listen. Open all your senses, Razeni. This is the best spot around to greet Syna." He said. And then the world went still, as if catching its breath and waiting in anticipation. Then slowly, the sun rose over the sea as if rising like a great leviathan from its depths. It was so silent, so still, as the world welcomed the Goddess of the Sun from her slumber. Shade was a statue at her back as he shared the moment with her, holding her safe. As Syna kissed the sky and slowly rose, the narrow place they were both standing a good hundred feet above the crashing surf became evident. It was incredibly intimate, watching the sunrise with the stranger. He seemed so focused, so intent on the sight before them and on sharing it with her.

Image

He held his breath and it wasn't until Syna was completely visible and in the sky that Shade drew a breath again. She felt him nudge her hair with his lips, as if brushing her with a kiss. It might have been accidental, but him slowly lowering his left arm and drawing it across her body was not. He took no liberties but she could still hear him whisper softly. "I thought it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen, Razeni. I was wrong though." He said, and then nuzzled her hair again, this time it was no accident. She could feel his smile then, against her cheek where he ended up resting his head.

A Dawn Ride (Razeni/Open)

Postby Razeni on December 31st, 2011, 4:22 am

The quiet darkness of the city enveloped them, almost muffling the sounds of the horses' hooves on the cobblestones as they moved along towards the gate. Razeni was able to make out the silhouette of Shade from the light casted by the streetlamps as they passed. She rode with a calmness and ease that she hadn't felt in a long time, her glances to him open and warm. There was just something about him that made her feel comfortable, made her feel as if she had known him already. She found herself ready to tell him anything about her if he were to ask her, a smile warmed her features as she thought of this fact. She noticed the random looks up to the sky he gave, giving her the idea that he wanted to be somewhere by a certain time. Either that, or perhaps he was using the stars of Zintila for navigation? She was not sure exactly what the purpose of his gaze up to the sky was for, but she had a feeling that she were to find out.

"I do send word to my Father when I decide to stay at a city for a certain amount of time, giving time to receive a message back from him. I know he worries for me, for I sense it in the underlying tone of his letters. He keeps a strong, assuring front for me, always giving words of encouragement." Razeni spoke in a thoughtful tone, it being obvious that she must be replaying words in her mind of letters she had received from him. She briefly lowered her lids, opening them as her head turned to look to Shade. As it were his turn to answer her question, she listened with an eager ear. His voice lyrical and pleasantly reverberated through her ear canals.

As he prompted Wish into a trot, Ruze automatically knowing to follow lead trotted as well. With the pace quickening, the steps jostling, Razeni moved fluidly with her horse being in sync with him. Her hair bouncing softly around her, the breeze from their forward motion causing her honey-brown tresses to fan behind her. The hood of her cloak rising and falling upon her shoulders, the cloak billowing out towards Ruze's rump. She trusted not only her horse but Shade to know where they were going and the quality of the terrain they travelled on. "I am sorry to hear about your parents, Shade. For the most part, it sounds that you have done very well for yourself." Compassion filled the tone of her voice as she spoke, his name rolling from her lips as a caress.

Riding side-by-side now, the strides longer and smoother, the brisk air of the night before not having lost its chill. As she spoke, the warm mist is instantly claimed and swept past her cheeks as they rode on. "Ahh.. A jeweler. How creative you must be, I can see you creating beautiful works of art out of the simplest material." Slowing now, she pulls back on the reigns, to match Shade's pace. Ruze comes to stand alongside Wish, both of the horse's breaths puffing from their flared nostrils from the run they just had. Ruze stepped in place, head nodding as he chomped on the bit in his mouth. With the dismount of Shade, she watched the gracefulness of his movement, she caught herself wondering at his form hidden under his own cloak. Her face became warm at the thought that seemed to of came from nowhere. She could only imagine at the way his muscles moved as he lowered himself from his horse and moved to secure Wish. At his words of needing to hurry, they shook her back to reality. Feeling as if she may of been caught doing something, she hurriedly dropped from the saddle in one motion, Razeni does as Shade allowing her steed to join his.

The subtle hint of urgency to hurry would not be missed by her, allowing him to take her by her hand she matched his steps up the narrow trail. She is thankful to have him guide her and hold her hand, not finding the gesture odd at all. Tightening her grip and interlacing her fingers with his, she uses him for leverage and support. She found the warmth and strength of his large hand woven into hers to be reassuring. Her free arm swinging by her side, at times her hand splayed out ready to reach down to catch herself if needed. She moved with agility and surety in each of her steps, even though she did not know the terrain. All the training and exercising definitely benefited her now, her long lean legs absorbing the rocks and gaps of the trail.

As they reached the area where it dropped off, Razeni gazed down off the side, shadows of rocks jutting and reaching for the sky visible. She is especially glad at that moment that she wasn't a woman of leisure, that her body was in shape and quite fit. As they rose higher and higher, she did not allow her anxiety of heights to take control of her. She cleared her thoughts to not think of their precarious situation, instead the feel of his fingers that gripped hers brought wondering thoughts of how they might feel... She stopped that train of thought, amazed that she was even wondering at such things, and especially at a time like this! Winds became swifter as they rose, her hair being whipped all around her. She tried to tuck strands of locks behind her ears only to have them fly free once again, before starting out she had tied a sash around her waist to hold her cloak together which helped to keep it from wrapping around her legs.

Reaching their destination, she felt Shade loose his hold on her hand and draw her to him, his hands holding her at each side of her waist. Her chin to her chest, she looked down at his hands that encircled her, she felt his step back and moved with him not wanting to disrupt the closeness or safety they shared at that time. With the wind sashaying her cloak and hair behind and around her, she is sure that they must be doing the same to Shade. She was about to ask him about this, but he beat her to speaking. What really paused her was the voice at her ear, her head out of reflex turned to try to face him. Instead only being able to side-glance at him, not wanting to move any more than needed. She was very aware of the closeness of them, her body pressed intimately to his, their shapes fit one another as if they were missing puzzle pieces finally finding their mate. Her body shivered, she hoped that he would think it to be the cold wind that caused it. Even the warmth of him could not of stopped the shiver, as his much larger size seemed to engulf her form.

The sights and smells surrounded her, the smell of him enticing her in a way that confused her. Razeni seemed to be awakened, a new Razeni, one that she hadn't met yet. What used to hint to her now yelled at her, the woman she was to become pulsed through her taking over. Things started to fall into place, come more clear. Shade now pointed out towards the sky, his voice giving her instructions. Her eyes follow the length of his arm out to where he pointed, she watched intently. The wind now still, she is able to hear what was hidden. Her own clean, sweet scent would float to mingle with his, it caused her to want to inhale taking whiff of the air.

Razeni was interrupted by the energy of Syna's first peek at the new day, her eyes rounded in worship, her lips parted a sliver as usual with a soft sigh. As they both stood there, time feeling to be stopped at that moment. The only movement allowed would be the rising of the Goddess herself. Syna rising slowly, as if she had all the time in the world, everything seemed to stop to watch. There were no sounds or cries from the birds of the sea, not even any breathing would be detected for they both held their breath. Razeni unknowingly had taken Shade's hand that held her within her own, if it were possible she pressed herself closer to him. The colors striking and brilliant as they brightened the world completely, now allowing them to breathe. With the brush of his lips at the side of her hair, she moved instinctively to press against him which seemed to mesh with him taking her into an embrace.

She caught what he had implied with his comment, a smile growing across her face. A faint hum in the back of her throat vibrated as she softly moaned in answer to it. She is not able to tear her eyes from the view they shared, she relished this moment not knowing for sure if there would be anymore moments like this to be shared. She did not like to presume anything, nor did she like to make herself vulnerable. Though his actions would make her think he may be feeling the same as she, she couldn't guarantee if it was just 'the moment' that made him do such things. For this moment felt very special and magical to her, she did not mind him resting upon her. Her hand even raised to caress his temple to trace her fingertips into the thickness of his curls. The dark curls wrapping around her fingers holding them in place.

"I have witnessed the rising of Syna many times before, but none were as magical as this." She said almost breathlessly. With a boldness she added, "I am to think it is the company that made it so." She braved a look to him, turning slightly to peer at him. She not being the sensitive type, she would not mind whatever answer he may give, or however way he may of taken her statement.

He was ever so glad he brought her to this secret spot to witness one of his favorite sites in all of Nyka. Holding her close, breathing in her scent, all of it was decedent coupled with Syna's rising. When she turned her head, he gently turned her body in his arms so he could kiss her properly. He did so gently, his lips nibbling hers, teasing them open so he could taste her with Syna's light kissing her lovely brown hair and setting it on fire with light.

He splayed his hands across her back, stroking her gently, and pulling her even closer to his body, letting his warm cloak wrap around both of them. He explored her back as he kissed her stroking her spine and working one of his hands up until his fingers tangled in her hair forcing her head back slightly so he could kiss her even more deeply and get access to the soft sweet spot where her neck met the hollow of her throat.

He would have never dared save for the fact that her whole demeanor seemed to be accepting, welcoming, and unafraid of his advances. His other hand splayed across her delicate rear gently pulling her even closer against him so she could feel the hardness of his body and he could enjoy the fit of the two of them together.

When he broke off his kiss and finished tasting the hollow of her throat, he looked deeply into her eyes and spoke slowly. "I'd apologize, Razeni, but I'm not sorry." He said, a hint of humor and a slight smile on his face. "If you weren't just visiting to get supplies, I'd take you back down the trail and do something about this attraction. I can't think of a more pleasant diversion on a day off than spending it with someone incredibly beautiful like you are. But its not fair to either of us if I do... You won't be here long from what you say, and I get easily attached." He said, nuzzling her again. He didn't release her though, but kept her held against him lightly and gently.

He made it no secret that he wanted her both by his expression and by the way his body was reacting to hers. But he slowly pulled away anyhow, still smiling slightly, and looked out over the water. "Shall we start down now that we have some light? I did promise you breakfast, at least better food than you'd get at Safe Haven." He said, still stroking her back gently even though he no longer had her pressed against him.

With the rise of Syna complete and the moment seeming to of passed, Razeni took a quick breath in, and released it in a sigh. How beautiful that sight was to her, it was something she would keep to memory for the rest of her life. Her green eyes scanned the horizon, the sea and the rocks below. What a lovely scene this region boasted, it may be one she would consider staying at if she weren't already set on heading home to her Father.

As she turned towards Shade, the closeness unbroken, a warmth begun to rise and fill the color of her cheeks. His strong arms that held her to him seemed to be natural, like what a man would do with a woman. Except this woman was very unfamiliar with such actions, being raised by her Father all the direction he offered was to watch out for men and don't get close to them. She had always figured that was because of the harm that men could inflict, but this moment had been a contradiction to her. Uncertainty would fill her expression for a moment as she thought of these things, her eyes lowered. Upon raising them she would be met with warm lips pressing to hers.

Razeni doesn't resist, nor does she pull away. Curiosity and wonderment had taken over, and also the strange hormones that seem to be racing from his kiss. As he nibbled on her lips it was like an instinct, she opened them. Tentatively she poked the tip of her tongue past her lips to his, quickly swiping it across the flesh of his lower lip. Being wrapped even closer within his arms and to his body, she steps into him wrapping her own arms around his neck. It was the only other thing she thought she could do with her arms, the lift of them would press the front of her frame to his. The warmth building and spreading even further within her, especially at the attention he gave to that special spot of her neck. This new feeling sent volts of electricity through her nerve endings. Her head tilted, hair falling back behind her. Her lids lowered, lush lashes would meet the tops of her cheeks. A soft, barely audible sigh would rush past slitted lips from the feeling.

The feel of Shade's hands working her backside, they trailed a path of fire in their wake where they moved. All of this was a new feeling to her, never had she kissed or been held by a man in such a way. Having seen other couples give little intimate gestures, she never would of thought it to be anything like this. Now with a hand on her bottom and entangled in her hair, each coaxing her even closer, she found herself caught up within this kiss that seemed to be consuming her. She was still unsure of what actions she should be taking, if she responded appropriately or not, she was not sure.

She was saved the thought by the removal of his lips, she inhaled sharply finally feeling able to breathe. She hadn't been aware that she held her breath. Razeni met his gaze as she leaned back allowing her arms to slide from his shoulders, but not completely, stopping til her hands rested on them. A low, soft giggle would rise from her throat at what he told her. She lowered her lids shyly, her cheeks stained crimson with innocence. "Well, I suppose your honesty is very refreshing, and at least the thought of possibly being sorry was there." Another soft giggle flows from her. "It might be a good thing then that we stop, for all this had overwhelmed me, I must admit. It was a very pleasant and .." She trailed off trying to think of the words, still trying to bring these new emotions in check. "New experience for me." She finished lamely. A blush darkened the already reddened stain of her cheeks. Her eyes close at him returning to nuzzle her, her breathing became shallow.

The rush of cool air swarmed her at the absence of his warmth, she almost whimpered at the emptiness she felt. She targeted in on him as he moved, the smile he wore reassuring to her. She followed his gaze out towards the sea, then back to him. She needed to get it together, get back to thinking straight, she thought to herself. She takes a deep breath and slowly released it. She marvelled at the realization of her womanhood, also that she was able to tell that Shade had felt the same attraction as she had. The right corner of her lips quirked up as she tucked her tresses behind each one of her ears, she nodded in response to him. "Yes, I agree we should head back. I should get something inside my belly before it eats itself." She says jokingly. The way he kept his hand on her gave her a feel of security that she enjoyed.

Many things and thoughts rushed through her mind as they made their way back to the horses. Razeni had to really look within herself and figure things out, there were new considerations that would need to be addressed, she knew. For now she would just enjoy this day given and enjoy it she will..
