A Long Trip Down a Hill... Literally (flashback V'alera)

[S'aria]

"Probably, let's go see!" S'aria, ran forward and realized that they were on a cliff. Okay don't panic, don't panic. I'll just climb down. S'aria dangled off of the ledge, and began to climb down. "Hey V'alera! Can you tell how deep the water is? We might be able to jump."

[V'alera]

"I will try." said V'alera as she picked up a rock, she then knelt on all fours over the edge and dropped the rock down from the cliff, as the rock fell over the edge V'alera counted how long it took till she heard the rock hit the surface of the water "one, two, tree, four" then she heard a splash in the water that echoed throughout the cave, V'alera loudly shouted to S'aria "I don't believe that it is a long drop to the water, but i would climb a little lower, just to be safe."

[S'aria]

"Do you think it's deep enough?" S'aria's voice faltered a bit. She thought she saw something in the water, but that was crazy. There was no way any thing would be able to live in the water down here.

[V'alera]

V'alera shot S'aria a look as if she is crazy then said "I don't think that the water is shallow, if it were, we would see the sand and rocks in the water, but if this is a problem I believe that we should just climb all the way down instead of jump." V'alera was now sliding down on the side of the cliff with her pickax digging into the side of the wall and is almost to the level of S'aria, then a protruding rock that her foot is resting on breaks, making her plummit towards the water at a fast pace, her ax was barely scraping the wall, and wasn't supporting her enough for her to regain balance against the pebbly rock wall, V'alera was terrified and screeming as she fell, "S'aria help!" V'alera helplessly yelled in mid air.

[S'aria]

Upon her sister climbing down, V'alera slipped and began to fell. In a burst of energy to help her sister, S'aria reached outward with an open hand. She grabbed her sister's leg, and swung her towards the wall. "Grab the wall!"

[V'alera]

V'alera gripped onto the wall without hesitation, she dropped her ax to the water as if she didn't trust it anymore "Thanks" sighed V'alera in relief, she didn't know what would have happened if her sister wasn't able to save her, she just knew she was thankful "I think I am able to continue on my own now, but just in case, can you lead the rest of the time sis?" V'alera is shaken from the experience and is cautious just in case this happens again.

[S'aria]

"Okay, just be more careful." S'aria quickly clambered down below her sister, and continued to climb down. After the fall, the peace full air became quite stirred. She looked at the wall across from her, and jumped at it. Barely able to cling on to the rocky edge, she held firm. "Alright, now you jump. I'll be here to catch you, should you fall short of the wall!" Her voice seemed amplified by the cave walls.

[V'alera]

When S'arias' order was made clear, a wave of fear washed over V'alera, she closed her eyes and took in a deep breath to calm her down, the tension in her chest soon went away and V'alera regained her confidence. When she opened her eyes she looked at a wall with a new determination, V'alera prepares to jump, and after a couple of breaths, V'alera pivots off of the wall and effortlessly grips onto the other side, V'alera blinks her eyes a couple of times to reassure that she has stuck the landing, realizing what she had accomplished, V'alera exclaims "Look S'aria! I made it!...I didn't slip!"

[S'aria]

"Hahaha. I knew you could do it." S'aria smiled, then began descending the wall again. When they finally reached the bottom she sat down. "Whew, that was a bit frightening wouldn't you say sis?" S'aria's voice was a bit shaky, but now it was mainly from the cold.

[V'alera]

"That was a bit frightening for sure." V'alera responded "Should we go into the water and retrieve my ax? I think dad would be angry and would never give me another one..." V'alera was staring at the water wondering if there are any monsters lurking in the waters of this unknown cave.
