Ethics and Morals
Rune has a unique set of values that she follows to a T, while she is a firm believer of ‘survival of the fittest’ she will often help women and children when they are being harassed. And while she is always vying for a fight she is not one to kill someone, if she can whenever she lands herself in trouble she will attempt to knock them out rather than inflict anything fatal. She also does not believe in stealing she thinks you earn your keep but if something is stolen from you it is your fault for not being able to keep hold of your own belongings. For all her brash and harsh words Rune is not one to lie and hates people who do lie or are ‘two-faced’.
Her view on life in general is that you do most things because you must, not always because you wish too and that is why they made jobs and hobbies. She does not believe in having children or marriage and she is all for the casual fling. [tabset=200] Religion
Rune does not believe in any particular God or Goddess though she does have an interest in Kelwyn and Nikali but she does not know enough about anyone in particular for her to actually be faithful to them. Character Concept Temperamental does not even begin to describe her, perhaps it is a trait that comes with her Inarta heritage but it mostly it’s simply her.
Raised in Sunberth Rune is naturally mistrustful and hostile. She tends to pick a fight just by opening her mouth, which often spills profanities that make sailors blush. Rune has no qualms with losing a fight though, seeing as she often is in over her head, survival is all that matters to her. That is not to say she is not prideful, she is, very much so, she tends to over exaggerate her own skills and importance.
When she is not picking a fight you may be able to get a conversation out of her that does not involve insults, though every word that comes out of her mouth will be cynical and uncaring. To her the world is shit and so is everyone who lives on it. She is not a chatty person but if she feels her two miza’s is necessary she won’t hesitate to butt into the conversation.
Brash and impatient Rune will rush in headfirst without thinking and if she comes out alive she has not learned from her mistake but rather she will brush it off as ‘shyke happens’. It is this trait that spurred her sudden urge to leave Sunberth and head out to see the rest of the world.
Rune is a very sensual young woman (especially when drunk) and will tend to become very flirtatious and ‘touchy-feely’—though this is not much difference from her usual persona, she is a very physical person in general.
Perhaps underneath her rough—to say the least—personality there is a softer side but generally speaking, no one wants to stick around long enough to find out. Though she is generally kinder to animals, she is just as rough speaking with them and has a heavy hand when angered, she trusts animals though as she feels they do not lie. This kindness does not extend to Kelvic(s).
Character History Rune’s mother was an Inarta woman from Wind Reach, a high standing woman and Avora. Rune’s father a young Vantha man made it Wind Reach to purchase trinkets for his fiancé. Upon meeting they had a brief but passionate affair and when he left that was the end of it.
And yet nine months later her mother was reminded of that abrupt affair when she had triplets. While Rune’s sisters(s) looked the part of an Inarta there hair was dark with hints of red buried beneath it but she came out the opposite. And though she and her sisters lived with their mother briefly but were very quickly moved to a nursery. There she was raised as any Youth in Wind Reach but it was quite obvious were her lot in life would be seeing as she showed no urge to be proficient in anything. An easily distracted child she was hard to teach anything and she had a knack for ending up in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It was one of those incidents that forced her from Wind Reach, having been attempting to skip out of her chores she was hiding with a few older drudges, unfortunately she stuck with them for most of the day, including when they stole food. Fearing punishment they gave the food to young Rune and told her to hide, thinking she would be able to escape without notice. That was not the case.
Caught and blamed for something she didn’t fully comprehend she was more than likely going to end up in the Tomb of the Fallen for she was now associated with all the other disappearances of food. Which in truth she was there each time but she had taken no part in any of it. The young drudges who got her into the mess did not abandon her though, with a bit of persuasion they managed to get a scholar who was currently staying in Wind Reach agreed to take her with him when he left.
Whisked away with him near that same day she was able to travel with him back to his home in Zelvita but upon passing by Sunberth a group of Ravok slave traders managed to slip her away from her guardian. They of course, did not manage to keep hold of her either and so while she narrowly escaped the slavers she was no alone in a town that was not kind to those that could not take care of themselves.
And since, she has lived there, getting into trouble and generally staying alive by the skin of her nose and few dirty brawling tricks. It was not until an impromptu meeting with a Konti being hauled away by Ravok Slavers that she decided to leave but only after lighting their ship on fire.
