Physical Description
Deyja is a young mixedblood of Dhani and Inarta origin. Because of her weakness to the cold, Deyja has tended to stay where sunlight provides much warmer climates giving her skin a slightly meidum tone; and though Deyja is darker than most fullblooded Inartas she is quite pale in comparison to anyone else. She has thick eyelashes that seem to compliment her wide eyes the color of gold beautifully, but her slitted pupils seem to taint that beauty. Her face is slender, yet plump in enough areas to make it look like she has not loss all her baby fat. Her full lips purse neatly together to hide her dim teeth when she is not smiling; otherwise her wide mouth easily shows them off. Rarely ever having been cut Deyja's unruly hair falls to about her waist. The fiery scarlet locs spilling loosely down her back with several strands lightly framing her face and a few strands woven into braids decorated with silk ribbon. On occassion, but rarely ever, Deyja will try to pull the fiery mess into a ponytail revealing more of the features of her face that are normally hidden. Her natural generous bust, sensuous curves, and welcoming hips gives her sinewy physique a certain appeal. She speaks in an unreserved manner which is more often than not highly opinionated.

Character Concept
In trying to describe Deyja the word "wildfire" immediately comes to mind. Much like a ardent flame the implusive Deyja can seem extremely volatile even unpredictable at times. It is this implusiveness combined with her stubborness that governs her strong sense of right & wrong; which is why she may seem rash when in truth she is just an overly kind-hearted person. Deyja has the bad habit of jumping into fights to defend the weak without thinking of the consequences before hand, and more often than not this gets her into trouble. Deyja kindness toward others is direct and slightly naive; with the exception of Dhani who she expresses an unusal dislike as well as longing towards.

Much of Deyja's personality stems from her parents, who instilled their morals into Deyja during her mostly happy childhood. Her memories of a seemingly long ago childhood both bitter & sweet shape many aspects of her life. Deyja is a hopeless romantic because of such memories, and has the ideal that 'love is a gift; it can never be bought, won, or taken; only given' a simple conclusion drawn through her view on her parents loving relationship. And though Deyja is only semi spiritual she doesn't forget to pay hommage and send prays to the goddess Caiyha; especially after a rewarding hunt. Which is more than likely the reason she opposes unnecessary waste.

If asked what her one major flaw was Deyja would quickly reply nothing, but the words would ring false within both the recepient of said answer and her own ears. It is a slither of distrust rooted deeply in her heart which makes Deyja avoid answering such a question. Fearing that once someone finds out how very fragile mentally and emotionally she is no one will want her. So for her own survival she keeps the dark horrors of her psyche in check with playful banter and odd humor, and with added incentive say a strong beverage she'll keep the laughs rolling till she passes out.

From the day she was born and everyday since Deyja has dreamt about one thing; soaring within the skies. Even the traegic loss of her parents didn't quell her dream to reach the skies. Ultimately her goal is to make her way to Wind Reach and become an Endal. A final promise she made to her mother.

Character History
The Birth & Childhood: Deyja was born to the Dhani Saavhezhitani and his wife the Inarta Jeina. Though different in many ways the two were hopelessly in love and soon decided to start a family. It was not a simple pregnacy for the huntress and falconer who never seemed to want to slow down, but Jeina proudly carried her triplets to full term. However when the time came and her water broke on that glorious spring day Deyja was the only one of the three babies to be delivered alive; and odd as it was her two brothers were delivered still born.

Even though this was a hard blow to her mother's pride Jeina held her head high. Choosing to be grateful for the child that had survived; she saw Deyja as her little miracle. Her father on the other hand often mused that Deyja must have devoured her brothers' lifeforce while in the womb and as such had the strength of three souls. With the loss of two of their three bundles of joy the couple poured all there love and hopes into Deyja.

From the very start Deyja's parents wanted her to know both parts of who she was. Their small family traversed back and forth through Kalea and Taldera when ever they could hitch a ride with a caravan of traders to give their daughter exposure to each of their birthplaces. Somehow her parents were able to shelter Deyja from the worse of the prejudice they knew she would later face in life for their love. When not making the dangerous trek along with a caravan the family of three made their home in Taldera. During these times of stability Deyja was given intense day to day training that started when the sun rose and ended when the sun set.

In her first five years of life Deyja would learn to speak Nari & Common, beginner falconry, and archery(a skill she seemed gifted in). About around Deyja's eigth year, it was apparent to both parents that she was lacking necessary physical properties that would inable her to learn the final language they felt she needed. Understanding that his actions could very well hurt his daughter's speech more than help Saavhezhitani took drastic measures and put a split in Deyja's tongue. At first this seemed like a major mistake as Deyja did not speak for several weeks, but once her tongue healed it was revealed that Deyja had gained just the advantage she needed. Although having the advantage her snake-tongue was still poor.

By the time she reached her tenth year Deyja had completed several different Bendis assigned to her by her mother, had advanced her falconry and archery greatly, and had begun sword combat training.Things seemed promising for the small family, but as the sun sets so too did their happiness. Deyja's life went spiraling down into the depths of dispair. If one could give name and shape to their misfortune than that name for Deyja would be Saavhekriraj. Nearly upon her eleventh year of life Deyja awoke to her mothers screams. The scene before her when she finally scrambled out of their tent with her sleep heavy body was one of utter chaos.

Blood, smoke, and flames. Two silhouettes more snake than man tangled admist the carnage. The crumpled form of her scarlet haired mother against a tree. This is what greeted Deyja, but she met the intensity of the stituation with subtle bravery. Throwing herself into the fray with reckless abandon she tried to aid her father, but the brute crushing of bones and sharp tear of flesh in her side made Deyja double over in pain. In the next instant she had been dragged up by the warm slender arms of her mother and pulled into the bushes. Her mother than disappeared and Deyja sat alone in pain for hours hidden to keep her safe.

When the fire seemingly died except a few embers Deyja emerged to find her parents snuggled closed together. Bloodied, beaten, and dying was her family. Her father had long since been dead, but when Deyja approached their bodies her mother stirred. In her last breaths whispered in her daughter's ear Jeina made a final wish. A wish Deyja promised to do her best to fullfill for her mother.

Without her parents to care for her Deyja's life became hard. Her survival became greatly dependant on the skills she had learned. In her new life Deyja had many days where she did not eat & nights she did not sleep. Some nights she abstained from sleep just to avoid the vivid nightmares of her tragedy that sometimes plagued her slumber. The nightmares a constant reminder of that tragedy she endured and evidence of scars much deeper than the superficial scar covering her left side. For a long while Deyja was forced to beg and take scraps to sustain herself until finally she found refuge with an elderly human couple.

The couple who had loss there own child took Deyja in as if she were there own. Sadly Deyja was still healing so she was constantly lashing out at the couple. Though no matter how many times she spoke to them with ill manner, the elderly couple patiently continued to support and comfort her. Eventually they became her second family and Deyja spent the majority of her adolescence with them during the last years of their life. When the couple finally passed away Deyja's own loss for her parents was finally allowed peace as she greived for both the elderly couple and them. Once she released all the emotions she'd been holding back in a flood of tears Deyja's passion for life blazed even more brightly, and remembering her promise she headed out for Wind Reach.
