It was difficult to be intimated by a cold glare when one was dead. The worst had already came, and according to Lucian's knowledge a person could not die twice. As the two men began to call each other out in the idiotic way that men do, Addy returned Wren's smile. It was evident that, the ghost had gotten under the warrior's skin, which amused and satisfied him greatly.

"I ask because Addy plan's on going to Black Rock. One of the draw backs of being dead is that it is difficult to defend when a threat arises. Addy was never interested in the ways of the sword, so she would be useless in defending herself, and she will not be deterred from going to Black Rock. She can be a stubborn girl.

" Lucian stop talking about me as if I am not here. It is rude", Addy said in a crisp tone before she took a bite of her bread. " My dear I am dead and set in my ways I fear that my manner's shall never improve", Lucian said with a chuckle.

Turning his gaze back to Urus, his green eyes twinkled in mishife, " I have a proposition for you. Would you be interested in escorting Addy to Black Rock and back to Zeltiva safely for a price. I am thinking 200 meza's is a fair amount."

Upon hearing Lucian's proposal, Addy frowned slightly. The picnic was pushing her comfort level, and while the two proved to be good company, they had little to talk about. She could just imagine how awkward the trip would be. For it was a long journey to Black Rock. Their was rumour of more ghosts their, and the dead did possess a great amount of knowledge. Perhaps their was some pre valterian ghosts. Oh the knowledge they would have!

" Lucian I am sure that he is far to busy to be accompanying me to Black Rock."

"Black Rock?" Ursus repeated and looked at his own hand for a second. An image of the black gem that had melted into his right hand came to mind. Could these be related? Maybe. It was worth the venture, especially if mizas were involved.

"I agree, I shall be the lady's escort."
He said, not interested in conversation nor charmed by the ghost's sleazy charm. His animalistic, kelvic eyes watched Adalaine and Lucian verbally spar with something akin to boredom. However, he was polite and did not make a public showing of displeasure. Inwardly he hoped that the ghost's inane chatter wouldn't last the entire voyage. He had a sinking suspicion that it would.

"Tell me more about this Black Rock."
He asked, or rather mildly demanded. As a bodyguard one must know the lay of the land. Were there hostiles? These were the things he was interested in. Once Adalaine gave a little background on their destination he would follow up with another, unrelated question.

"If you are learned perhaps you can answer a question for me."
He rubbed his right hand. "Do you know of a black gem that turns into liquid and absorbs into the skin?"

I wonder what this raised platform was used for...

It was the last thought Ayla could remember having, back when she had a body. Atleast, she was relatively sure she no longer had a body. It has been some time since I moved... Oh no, I lost my place again. Time to start over. My parents are Daeja and Lohle. Their parents were... Her mind continued once more along her families lineage. It was the only thought currently keeping her mind rooted anywhere, anytime...

Wait... I can see something. I can see something? Does that mean I have eyes once more? A body? I can feel too. I feel like... I am falling?
--------------------

There was a massive crack and snap, as if a bolt of lightning had just struck. Accompanying was a flash of yellow light. And then there was a person falling. From approximately 40 feet high in the air. Out over the water along the docks. The person appeared to be a jumble of legs, arms, a large green bag and... tentacles?, spiraling and twisting wildly as they fell towards the water. At the last second before impacting the water, the rather green colored body straightened out and cleanly sliced into the water.
--------------------

As Ayla impacted the water, the green kelp rucksack was torn from her back, the straps along her shoulders breaking cleanly. The Acquitor continued almost 30 feet down into the water, nearly to the point where she could reach and touch the bottom of the harbor. At that point her body, seemingly on instinct, twisted and started to glide above the floor. It was only at that point that Ayla seemed aware of herself. "I am underwater? How? What? Did the Watchtower activate? That would be bad... I think."

Ayla looked around for a few moments, recognizing the somewhat familiar look of what appeared to be a harbor. She then spotted her rucksack and started to swim towards the floating object. She allowed her head to broach the surface near the kelp bag, her hands reaching for it as her eyes started to take in her new surroundings. Yup, I am in a harbor. But not one I have seen before. And there is a beach. Oh, and look, people. Three of them. Oh wait, no, there is a youngling. She looks a bit like Abby, though not dead.

Speaking in Common, she called out towards the four people on the beach while waving one of her webbed hands, "Greetings! Where am I?"

Ursus was immediately alert at the sudden appearance of Ayla. It was hard to miss the fall, and the splash and the questions that accompanied such a dramatic entrance. The warrior was instantly on his feet, his hand resting on the Katana's handle. His muscles tensed up and readied to spring if needed. Young Wren's mouth hung open, full of half chewed food, her young mind dazzled by such an unexpected event.

The Kelvic warrior and ex-squire in the Sylrian Knights approached the edge of the water carefully. On further inspection it did not seem that the being meant ill will, but Ursus had survived this long only by being ever vigilant.

"You are in Zeltiva, stranger." Ursus called back. "Where is it that you intended to be?"

Behind him young Wren ran forward. Fearless like her guardian she trotted beside the large male. She gripped Ursus' left leg and studied Ayla silently.

" Black rock is an island that is in the Falyndar region of Mizahar. The goddess of death's citadel is their, and ghosts are rumored to frequent the island. I wish to learn more of the Valterrian and life before the great war transpired. The dead have a great deal of knowledge, perhaps they can aid you in the knowledge that you seek" , Adalaine said regarding Ursus's request for more information regarding the island. " Though we will need to seek out passage on a boat".

While, Addy was quite learned she had never heard of a black rock that turn's into liquid and melt's into flesh. Needless to say she was quite intrigued as she guessed that perhaps Ursus was speaking from experience. " No I have never heard of such a rock. Did this happen to you? Was their any strange effect's once the rock had melted?" The man had struck Adalaine's curiosity and as a result was bombarded with questions as she was now on scholar mode.

" Oh now you have done it my man. She is now on scholar mode and shall be bombarding you with questions.", Lucian said with faint humor.

Before the young woman could ask any more questions, Ursus was given a brief reprieve from a loud splash that came from the sea. Following him cautiously, Addy to stood up to investigate. A Charoda and a lost one at that. For the moment she let Ursus do all of the talking, and awaited for the fish woman to speak.

Ayla peered about the harbor for a few moments before turning her gaze to the man and what she assumed was his youngling. "Well, I had intended to simply walk onto the platform, but it appears that the Watchtower went and activated itself. Well, I suppose Zeltiva is as good a place as any. Safer then me landing in Taloba at the least, hah." The Charoda stopped talking, realizing that she was on the verge of babbling to random strangers. Instead, she decided to swim closer to the shore.

As she got to the point where her 5' 11" frame was only half in the water, she stopped and smiled towards Ursus and Wren. "My name is Ayla, and I am one of Charbosi's Acquitors. Charbosi being the home of the Charodae, and an Acquitor being... well, someone that acquires people." The Charoda seemed about to start another sentence before she stopped herself, cocked her head slightly and looked up at the sky for a few moments. "Wait, that sounds a little odd," the Acquitor paused for another moment and then looked back to Ursus and Wren, "I find people, a certain type of people, ones that might be interested in visiting Charbosi, or knowing more about the Charodae."

The young Charodae laughed at herself, the light and high-pitched noise having a faint resemblance to a dolphin's call. She shook her head, causing the short tentacles on her head to wave about wildly. "Oh, some ambassador I am." She then faintly sighed as she looked at the kelp rucksack she clutched in her arms and the broken straps that would have held it to her shoulders. She also took a few moments to check the few straps and bindings that kept her kelp armor in place.

"I suppose it could have been worse, I could have landed on the dock or the beach. What a disappointing fate that would have been, having only visited one settlement, and one that we Charodae already regularly contact." Again, the Charodae stopped herself talking anymore, and then seeming to remember something, walked closer towards Ursus and thrust out her webbed hand. "Nice to meet you! You do shake hands, yes? Or maybe some other traditional greeting. You dont appear to be a ghost at the least."
