Ayla
Charodaen Acquitor

Physical Information
Race: Charoda
Birthday & Age: 45th day of Spring, 489 AV (20 years old)
Gender: Female

Physical Description:
Ayla is on the tall side of the spectrum for Chadorae, at 5' 11". And to say that Ayla is lanky, lithe and graceful would be and understatement. Her large dark, sea-weed green eyes are darker than her almost aquamarine colored skin. She has the usual spark of inquisitiveness that is common among the Chadorae. Her voice, trained in Charodaen singing, is musical and seemingly ethereal when under the waves. Above water, she has been trained to speak unaccented Common.

Character Concept
Curiosity is the word most commonly associated with Ayla. Despite her families history, Ayla is eager to interact with the newly found races and civilizations, and considers herself an ambassadress of the Chadorae. As a result of this curiosity, she is very energetic and hates to stay in one place for extended periods of time. She is extremely polite and honest, almost to a fault. She likes to gather things in her search of knowledge on the other races, but will never harm another creature in order to do so. Assuming she could get out of a situation with her life still intact, Ayla will never resort to harming another living being.

Character History
Ayla's family traced its origin all the way back to the Valterrian. If they had wanted, they could probably go further, but BV didnt much matter to the Charoda. Everything had changed, especially for Ayla's family. None of them died in the cataclysm, in the destruction of their civilization. But in what followed. In the first foray to the outside numbered Ayla's progenitors, multiple male and female pairings, of which almost her entire ancestry could be tracked to.

While her progenitors may have been killed at the hands of foreigners, or something in the wild, the story never discouraged Ayla. From an early age, she showed a propensity for exploration. She reveled in swimming to new locations, and excelled in the traditional mixture of dance, song and cartography that was the Charodaen method of describing one's travels.

But there was something else she enjoyed above all else. Meeting the other races. She learned all that the Charodae had accumulated on their land-dwelling neighbors. Customs, greetings, language, appearance. She absorbed all of it. And thus, it was only natural that come her twentieth year, she volunteered as an Acquitor. Acquitors, Charodae charged with finding new paths to new peoples, and should they so wish, guiding those peoples back to Charbosi.

It is with a small sense of irony that Ayla happened across the people of Black Rock in her first foray to find outsiders. While the Charodaen merchants had been trading with the living denizens for some time, little was truly known about the isle. And so, Ayla ventured forth, surveying the people and customs and buildings of the isle. Atleast, she surveyed the isle until she surveyed one building in particular. The Watchtower.
