15th of Spring, 512 AV, Mid-day, Western Wilds. Desya loved the Wilds, loved the fresh air, the rolling hills dotted with bunches of trees. Compared to the city itself the wilds were a haven, one in which she could do as she wished without having to worry about being robbed or rapped, and she loved it. She stretched out on her stomach, paws folded under her chin and bathing in a wonderful puddle of warm, golden sunlight. There was a small copes of trees nearby, and once she had time to relax and unwind she planned to have a bit of a poke around and see if there was anything worth hunting there. For the moment though she was comfortable as she was. A movement in the grass before her caught her attention and looking down Desya noticed a rather large snake slithering sluggishly past her right paw. Desya froze and stared at it, distaste squirming in her gut. She let go a low growl, hoping to frighten the snake away. It continued on its way, without even a flick of its tongue in acknowledgment to her, edging ever closer to her face. Feed up Desya snapped at it, not aiming to actually bit it, merely startle it. The snake startled and darted at her with a hiss, barely missing her. Desya yelped, bolted to her feet and jumped back a few steps, lowering her head to snarl at the snake, which was rapidly slithering away in the opposite direction. Feeling silly Desya glanced around, hoping no one had seen her. Exhaling with a loud 'harrumph' she returned to her warm patch of grass, circling three times before settling down. |
