A half-collapsed city of alabaster and gold fiercely governed by Eypharians. Even partially ruined, it is the crown of the desert and a worthy testament to old glories and rising powers.

Kharasa of East Winds House

Location: The Serpent's Elixirs within the Pavilion
Timestamp: 1 Spring 512 AV

Kharasa peered into the cramped tent and a look of distaste crossed her delicate features. She could use an elixir for her skin, but really, the things a woman had to go through for beauty! Her scornful gaze passed over Rasken and moved onto his much better looking assistant, Hajirah. Hunching over was quite distasteful and she crouched quickly to get through the opening.

Seating herself with haste, Kharasa took a moment to smooth her silk lavender skirt around her long, shapely legs. While she approved the other girl's dress coloring, she would greatly benefit from one of her skin gilding sessions.

"Hajirah darling, you really must consult with me and get your skin gold tinted. It really would bring out your eyes more."

The young woman smiled at the noble, but didn't reply to that. She'd never be able to afford Khara's high end prices. Instead she spoke to Rasken in a hissing, spitting snake tongue to order the Noble's usual tonic. The Dhani gave a scornful half hiss at someone wanting honey with his elixir, but Kharasa politely ignored it.

"One Cheva’s Grace and a spoonful of acacia honey." said Hajirah, setting down the vivid orange tonic. Just as the Noble put the gold on the table, a sudden noise erupted right outside the tent.

"Ya stole it you filthy thief! I won't have no one astealin' my things! I growed that fruit fair and square!" cried out a vendor.

"It's not stealing to offer a real price on your bruised fruit! You're lucky I'm even looking at it you ingrate!"

The prospective buyer angrily threw the badly bruised fruit back at the vendor, accidentally knocking over a large heap of produce. With an offended and angry yell, they set upon each other like bickering dogs, snarling and snapping. The two large men pounded at each other, falling over onto the side of The Serpent's Elixirs tent.

Abruptly it caved in under the weight of two volatile combative people while Kharasa and Hajirah screamed in panic, pinned under the weight of both people and the tent. Rasken hissed and spit, his muscles coiling and writhing as he changed shape under duress, taking up even more room in the squashed tent. The two Eypharian girls and the Dhani were trapped helplessly beneath the large brawny men as they fought each other vehemently.

Bought a drink, got a guard (Yasatora)

Postby Yasatora on May 11th, 2012, 3:52 pm

Yasatora was just wandering the streets, happy to just reflect on his life for a while. And he didn't really have anywhere to stay anyways. He thought about his uncle and the good and bad deeds he has committed and thought about how he should react in those situations for future reference. Yasatora thought, "It's rather nice that there haven't been any problems today." But then he heard shouting, so Yasatora broke into a run to see what was going on. "Spoke too soon." He muttered. Yasatora came around in time to see the two men crash into the tent, fighting savagely with a crowd staring at them.

Yasatora rushed over and picked the two men up onto there feet. They started to turn to him but grabbed the back of there heads and slammed them together with a loud thud, disorienting them. Then, Yasatora tossed them sprawling into the dust away from the tent. Yasatora then stepped off the tent himself and started lifting it away from Kharasa and the other occupants. He then turned back to Kharasa and Hajirah, mainly since the fight had practically been right on top of them and asked, genuinely concerned.

"Are you two all right?" As he offered each of them a hand up. "Those two idiots over there really need to learn a lesson in civility." He said, nodding in the direction of men he had thrown, who were now picking themselves up off the ground, there anger forgotten for the time being.

Kharasa of East Winds House

Charmingly disheveled, with a long curl hanging down to her nose, Kharasa took the proffered hand. An attractive, muscled man offered her a very large, comforting hand to help her out and his deep voice was a surprising bonus. Ever conscious of her looks, she smoothed back the errant curl, stood gracefully and smiled charmingly up at Yasatora.

Rasken hissed in irritation at the state of his tent and moved to sulk angrily in a corner, nudging a beam back into place with a thick coil.

Hajirah rose of her own accord, curtsied quickly before Yasa, and introduced the woman beside her.

"I am Hajirah and may I present Kharasa, Noble daughter of East Winds House."

Addressing a stranger without an introduction didn't follow proper protocol for Khara, so she was glad that Hajirah finally stepped in to rectify the awkward situation. She -really- needed an escort, or ladies maid for situations like this. Now that she was announced, she could speak with the strange man.

"Thank you for your bravery and assistance sir ....?" She left the sentence to dangle, waiting for him to give his name.

Bought a drink, got a guard (Yasatora)

Yasatora found it amusing that she smoothed back her hair like that, but his amusement didn't show. she was a well adorned so he presumed she was of somewhat significant status. When rasken hissed, yasatora glanced up at him, but seeing that he was just sulking, Yasatora turned back to the women.

When Hajira curtsied to Yasatora, he gave a small laugh and started to say "There is no need to bow to me, for I have no real rank." but when she introduced herself and Kharasa, he said "A noble?" then turning to Kharasa, Yasatora gave a bow and said, "Well, then It is an honour to meet you, Kharasa."

When Kharasa thanked him but trailed off before his name, Yasatora realized he had not introduced himself. "I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Yasatora, and in truth, I'm really just a commoner trying to help."

Then the vendor yelled out angrily, "What was that for?" Yasatora turned to him and said, "Your petty, careless fight could have hurt innocent bystanders. Your a food vendor right? well, what would happen to your reputation if you hurt someone who did nothing to you, hmm? It could ruin your buisness, thats what." The vendor got more enraged at first but as the information sunk in, he calmed down. Then Yasatora said to the buyer and the vendor, "Now I think it is about time you two apologise to the people who got caught in the middle of your fight." Gesturing towards Kharasa and Hajira.

Kharasa of East Winds House

"A pleasure to make you acquaintance Yasatora. One would wish it were under better circumstances." She replied in soft tones.

Kharasa looked up at Yasatora's impressive height, clean good looks and well muscled, lean body. She smiled graciously when he'd finally given his name and Khara was well pleased with how he handled the situation so efficiently. Most of the East Wind House guards were about swinging their fists first and not bothering with even a hint of logical words.

Her ebony eyes took in the complete package of the man before her. Yasa most certainly was not dressed well, nor was his skin well cared for. He did, however, keep himself in admirable shape and he was clean and well spoken over all. Something clicked at the back of her mind regarding the man before her. He was remarkably well suited to be an excellent House Guard once he was cleaned up and outfitted. Yasatora had shown initiative in a sudden situation that called for immediate action, yet knew the importance of protocol and manners.

When she heard him insist on the heathens apologizing to her, it clinched the idea that he belonged with her House. Once the proper apologies were given and replied to, she asked him,

"Are you employed, my brave rescuer?"
