Bones just looked at her, as she batted at his hands a bit, putting her tiny paws on his fingers. She was so tiny in this form... So tiny and helpless... Most people would find such a kelvic as useless. After all, she could not be useful in protection, what could she fight besides rats? And she could not even hunt well enough, she was to small to bring down anything big enough to be of use. Of course, Bones was not most people. He was not even a human. Unlike most of them, he could defend himself, he was skilled enough with fist and blade to make himself a formidable foe, to any that might wish him harm. And being a dhani, he could kill large things for food without to much trouble. So the things that made this kelvic useless to others, were all things that Bones either had no need for, or could do himself. A small smirk cracked his face, as she purred in satisfaction at his treatment of her. She seemed rather easily pleased, even after being so upset such a short time ago. She seemed heartened by his lecture, and responded by nuzzling into his open palm. Well, he supposed that meant she liked what she had heard, though he could not be certain. If nothing else, it had not upset her again. Bones got up then, and started locating and putting on his clothes. It was probably time for them to head back, before it got to late. "Well Kakoli, we should probably get dressed, and head back to town. I doubt it would be a good idea to stay out here all night. A nice warm bedroll is calling me in my home."

After a while he got up and got dress. He gathered his thing and began to walk. He wanted to head back. She however would like to keep the happy scene going. So she rolled on her back and flailed her legs, wiping her front paws across her face a in laziness. She then laid on her side, facing him and stared. No reaction. He rolled back over on her stomach and cover her face with her paws. She whimpered in fake disappointment. After a while she peaked up. No reaction, continue. Another peak, nothing. Eventually she gave up in keeping him there. She changed back, put on clothes and went to meet him. "Come on, that usually got me at least a free nibble of food, maybe a good laugh once in a while. Everyone like a cute little kitty. Now, put up." She joked, extending her arm for an offer. Another, probably, failed attempt at seeming tough. Comic relief never hurt a person.

Bones just looked at Kakoli, as she started acting odd, rolling around, sticking up her legs, moving her paws, staring at him... Of course, if he had known anything about feline body language, that might have meant something to him... As it was, Bones just assumed she had an itch she could not reach in her cat form, and was flailing around to try and scratch it, but failing... Of course by then Bones was not even looking, so her odd game of peak-a boo was missed on him. Once he finished gathering his stuff, and getting dressed, he did look back, but she had stopped by then. And not long after that, she changed form again, got dressed, and was tearing after him. From what she said, he guessed he had been wrong about her having an itch she could not scratch... Though he had not really spent that much time around small cats like her... And the time he had spent around larger ones had been either him hunting them, or being hunted by them... Needless to say this was new territory, and it would take a while to be able to even vaguely understand her in cat form... It had taken him a decade to reasonably understand the odd body motions of humans, and they used words... Though he was a bit confused now... Was she demanding food from him? How was he supposed to respond to that? Did she think he carried around food? "Uhm... I don't carry around food wiss me... I prefer to eat my food fresssh... What do catsss even eat?" He asked this as he walked, glancing back at Kakoli, but not stopping entirely. He preferred to keep in motion, and talk as he headed to a destination.

Apparently he didn't get her snide remark and had taken in seriously. In fact he probably had ignored her entire act. His sense of humor needed tweaking for sure. All in all, he only asked about her diet and continued moving. "Not the stereotype if that's what you're getting at. Sure I kind of have a weakness for fish but that's me. Other than that I'm not picky. After being sent away you really do start to realize that. How about you? Whole cows? Wheat fields for breakfast? Or will simple bread do? And....I'm rambling again.", She pressed her palm to her face. She was very prone to saying what was on her mind. He was so straight faced that she was hoping to say something that just might...make him laugh. Maybe another smile again?

Bones of course was not to good at picking up on subtleties in common. He had spent to many years speaking snake-tongue, for it to be seconds nature, as it was for others with common as there first language, or even a kelvic who was still young. Often Bones missed such jokes and things. Though he did not usually even realize he was missing anything... He figured if it was that important, they would explain it better... Not that he did not enjoy jokes. He did enjoy them, things said jokingly, or play on words, usually involving one person not realizing there was a deeper meaning to it... All in all, Bones did have a sense of humor, it just was not often used. He had though been known to play a prank or two over the years... That he did get, and quite enjoyed, though preferred when they were not aimed at himself... Bones did not laugh, he simply let the woman ramble. He often found it was easier to speak after he had the time to mull things over, and decide what exactly he wanted to say. And usually, people would run themselves out, and run out of things to blather, giving him an opening. People running at the mouth was one of the few things he did not usually get angry about though. It also usually made him a man of few words, making the ones he did say count. "I only eat meat actually... Usssually raw... Or ssstill alive if I can manage it... Certainly not cooked and sssuch... I don't really eat plantsss and bread and sssuch... Ssossse ssingsss ssat grow from sse dirt, ssey usssually make my ssstomach turn..." He shrugged her shoulders at her reference to fish. He found them occasionally, and ate them, but usually ate land creatures. "I prefer land beastsss... Ssose water onesss usssually don't have much meat on ssem... Ssough I don't mind fisssh."

She has to admit she had gotten the chills from his answer. I mean, raw meat, especially live and kicking? That is enough to creep out anybody. Well, not others like him. So far it seemed as though they were polar opposites. He's tall, she's short. He's strong, she's more or less weak. He's wise where she's naive. When she's bouncing off the walls, he's still standing in the same spot. Every characteristic of each person was completely different. Usually people of such differences were literally ripping each other's throats out. He has said he hasn't found her annoying, but why repeat the same question. One thing seemed to be bothering her. He seemed to act indifferent. Either he was feeling awkward as well or he simply did not want to bring it up. Neither had they brought up the previous topic. "So what do we do now?"

Bones of course would have both not really understood why she felt his dietary needs were odd, but would not have been surprised, as it was so common a reaction... To him it was just natural to eat such... But luckily she did not comment on how he ate... Though she had been the one to ask him how he ate... He had just been honest... Though it was a key example of why he did not usually answer that question. Bones of course was a quiet fellow... For the most part, and possibly because of how he spoke, he just listened, and took in others words. Of course, he did at times speak, but only when there was a need for it, and only when he was suitably motivated or pushed to do so. He was quite happy to move along, doing whatever needed to be done, in silence. He could quite easily go days at a time, without speaking, and would feel no awkwardness in the silence. He was not usually one to initiate speech... Kakoli would have to learn this, and learn that he meant nothing by his silence. So when she asked what to do next, Bones simply answered, not realizing that Kakoli had felt awkward, or had been squirming to fill in the silence of the break in their speech. "Well... I am heading home... You can do asss you pleassse... Ssough sssince you are my kelvic now... Whatever exactly ssat meansss... I don't know, do you live wiss me now? I sssuppossse you can come along if you want... Ssough I warn you, it isss not large or ssspacious, it hasss jussst enough to fulfill my needsss. I have a ssspare bedroll if you need it. Or you can sssleep asss you wisssh..." Having said his piece, Bones finished, giving a glance at Kakoli, heading onward, not stopping on his unerring and steady walk back to Alvadas.

Another surprise yet again. He had offered her room. He had offered her a choice. Most often things were statements, orders. Was he like this because he didn't know what to do? Or was he genuinely this peaceful? But her questions were once again left with like pieces of a puzzle to be built. Yet again the silence that continued as he went on his way. "So why are you on you're own? Don't Dhani live in live really, really, big groups? Why are you by yourself?" She bit her lip. Her curiosity had gotten the better of her again. Sometimes she though she put the nine lives theory to the test way too many times. Had she taken too far a step into privacy?

Bones turned and paused for a small bit, looking at Kakoli, before regaining his pace... He let out a deep breath of air... He wondered how much she actually knew of dhani... They were pretty rare, did not exactly like to tell there life stories to every passerby, for obvious reasons. Probably nothing but the tall tales, of snake men like him, going around devouring... Of course, she had kept civil as he changed his forms... And she was not so bad... For a non-dhani... He probably should answer some of her questions, if nothing else but to clear up the false ideas she might have... Some, not all though... "Dhani do usssually live in nesssts... Big groupsss... But not all... I am a bit of a wanderer... And ssere are ssso few of usss... We are not asss numerousss asss humansss and osser racesss... And we don't really get along wiss all osser dhani... Only our own kind."

So he's used to travelling alone. His kind are used to it in general she guessed. It wasn't abnormal for him to be alone. That could probably account for the indifference of her being there. Yet another difference from her to him. "Well, Kelvic usually aren't alone, If they are, they don't last long...at least thats what they say." It was not as if she had a choice to leave or not. She was forced out of the home she had. She was never wanted there any ways. Kelvics don't stay where they're not wanted.
