47th day of Winter 505 AV
Reimancy, glyphing, new element, bla bla bla. Always the same time over and over again and Bob still could not do some of it or...why not do some of it? Did he need Clyde to tell him to do anything? He already knew the basics, he could do it on his own. Yes, he will do it on himself and surprise Clyde with the fact that he can learn how to do things on his own. But the question now is what should he start with first? Should he try getting on that new element first? Or maybe not. He should just start of normally first and see how it goes on after that. Kind of like an equation and what he knew about the ice he was thinking of since it was winter, he only needed to add a little air to his water. The first element he learned how to command.
Being his first that was not too long ago, Bob still remembered how he learned it well. While he was learning a completely new element, he knew it would be easier if he used something that he knew already to help him reach that point. Maybe with some extra things to help now that he also knew it. Taking some of the ink he brought along, Bob dabbed it on his finger since he somehow forgot to bring a brush. Stupid. At least he would never forget his fingers unless they were somehow chopped off. At least no one would find him doing something this childish at this secluded spot where he picked so that he will not be interrupted or disturbed. On his palm he started at one point and then went along the edge getting a rather squarish looking circle. Squarish looking only because he still was aware enough to know that a circle did not have any edges.
The line joined right back at the starting point. "Well that is the focus completed" Bob said quite satisfied with the way he looked and all that was left to finish the glyph was the barriers. Does he even need that? It was not like he was trying to store anything in the glyph but it should be safer to just do it. Being the only thing he was going to make at this point, Bob wrote around the side of his hands Water water water water... since his ill preparation left no space on his palm but looking at it from the proper angle seemed right? Hopefully the glyph looked at it this way too or what he learned about the focus being the only thing required at this point was right.
Now that he was ready, it was time-for-res! Staring at his inked up palm, Bob tried to look at nothing else as he visualized something growing in the middle of the focus the best he could since it was tough to do it on something he was already looking at. It was the djed he wanted and after some time, he felt something growing beneath his skin and when he told it to come out as he imagined it, the smooth liquid that was his res appeared and moved dangerously towards the glyph. "Oh no, that isn't happening again!" he told himself remembering what happened the last time and slanted his hand slightly as he mentally told, actually begged the res to go to the middle.
"Phew" that was a close one. Now that the danger has passed all there was left is to make the water and the res should also know that since the words was all over the surface Bob made it on and instead it did not, he told it "water...water...water... telling the res to chance, transform and transmute. While the changes were not visible, Bob could feel it as the substance became colder in the cool winter air when it lost its magical energy becoming the boring and mundane element he told the res to become even if it did retain its magical nature.
