She should have known the kid wouldn’t agree with her great idea. He was a stubborn brat and if there was a quality she could recognize and respect it was stubbornness. She would have appreciated it however, if he hadn’t picked that particular moment to show it. Ren adjusted the weight of her bag on her shoulder and raised her hand to rub her temple in a decidedly human gesture. “Look here, human. I really don’t have time for this and, believe it or not, I have better things to do than killing little boys that have failed as thieves.” Ren took a step closer and pointedly put the dagger away in its sheath. “If I wanted you dead I would have shifted and taken your life like that. Now you will start scrambling up that wall like a good little bug and at the same time that you do I’m going to turn around and leave. Let me just remind you that my hearing is great and I will know if you do decide to stab me with a rock.” The Kelvic completely ignored the sarcasm in the human’s remark she was commenting on. “And if you were to do that I wouldn’t be as nice as I have been up until now.”

Giph rolled his eyes, as if she would kill him, seeing as she couldn't even hide her own purse she probably wouldn't be able to hide his body if her life depended on it, which it would. Ravok didn't take very lightly at slaves or lesser creatures hurting or killing his citizens. “Sure sure, whatever you say kelvic. As long as it gets me away from you.” He didn't comment on any of her threats, she said it herself, if she had wanted him dead she would have done it a long time ago. “Oh shut up already and get lost.” Giph spat as he scampered up the wooden wall. Just like before, he looked more like a drunken monkey trying to climb something, but he was making pretty good progres. When reached the top he looked back at the woman, gave her an obscene gesture before he jumped into the canal with a loud splash.

They were finally making some progress. It was about time too. The sun would be setting soon and by nightfall she had to be in a completely different part of the city. The moment the boy turned and headed for the wall Ren nodded and headed off towards her exit from the alley. She kept listening for the sounds of unexpected movement, but the only thing that could be heard were her own boots against the ground and the sound of grappling and sliding on wood from the climbing human. Before Ren turned the corner she glanced back. The boy had just made it on top of the wall and had halted just long enough to make a lewd gesture in her direction. The girl shot him a grin, waved and turned, hurrying west down the street.
