Hello all!

My name's Saltillo, but you can really call me anything you'd like. I'm a semi-seasoned role-player, and I enjoy spending most of my time on freestyle forums or collaborating on fictional short stories. Mizahar is a bit of a change from my normal pace considering how dedicated you have to be with your characters and the limits and restrictions you inherit, but I'm looking forward to the challenge of sticking to an original world for once.

In the real world I'm seventeen years old and I live in Michigan, USA. Writing has been a big part of my life ever since I was really young, as it got me out of a lot of sticky situations including some pretty bad scenarios with both my parents and multiple school systems. In person I can come off as a pretty loud, extroverted guy, but in actuality my mannerisms tend to lean more towards the introverted side. Keeping that in mind I'd ask for some patience if I ever seem vague or withdrawn when talking on a personal level.

With all that aside I'd like to formally extend the hand of friendship. Here's to hoping for a good future and lots of fun in this wonderful world you've all created.

EDIT: I forgot to mention my character! I'm planning on creating a sort of anti-hero. My goal is to establish a realistic young man who sort of spins off into a dark path, but still has a lingering sense of morality that eventually rips him back onto a better role. However, the repercussions of his darker history (which I'm planning on actually playing through, not just mentioning.) will most likely take a toll on him. Long story short, I'm very excited and I have many plans and ideas running through my head.

Welcome Nis! We are very happy to have you :)

I am excited by your character concept! I can't wait to see it play out :D Any idea where you are going to start or anything about the lore/skills/magics that you're just dying to try out?

Let us know if you have any questions and we'd be happy to help!

Thanks for the reply, Phoenix, and I'm glad you're excited too! This was an idea I've been wanting to try out for a long time but never really got around to exploiting.

I'm still going over the skills, as well as the lore, and I'm actually not sure if I want to give my character any magic at all. If I am to give him some form of assistance, I'd probably lean towards familiarity, and even then that would be a process that would end up taking days for me to finish planning/writing out.

My reasoning for establishing some sort of life-long companion would be pretty complex, and I can see Saltillo definitely end up suffering as much as he would be benefiting through such an elaborate connection. From what I've read the bonding seems to be much more than just a "marriage" type scenario, it seems intimate beyond what humans can even understand on a physical level. That's what sort of draws me to it. The amount of inspiration and flexibility that comes with such a foreign concept seems like loads of fun.

Beyond that, skill-wise, I'm thinking of making Saltillo lean towards the more scholarly-side without being a total dolt when it comes to practical survival. I'm still in the fleshing out mix of things.
