A time to teach (Elaine)

Spring 11 night 510 av

John made sure they would be alone for this. The moon was high in the sky however he could not see it in his sisters room. The room was smaller then his somewhat, a bed was on the left side along the ground with no box springs. Dark green sheets covered it with a small pillow by the wall. A little box with sheets laid near it that was for her cat. The walls were of a charcoal gray shade with white and black hand prints along the surface.

The closet was smaller then his as well with a broken door that was unhinged that just stood along it. Clothing laid on the edges on that door and in the closet itself with a small round mirror on the wall. All in all it was how she wanted the room. He picked this room due to the simple fact it would drain her and take more then just a few hours.

Magic, a power that was semi common in the world yet it was also feared and hated in some areas. Only a small part of the world really could use it yet it was not something for hobby's to play with for it was very serious. He was told at a young age when he learned a type of it to always be on guard and never abuse it. Along with not sharing but for once he was going to share the dark secrets to his twin sister. A power that always came at a price even if that price was unseen for years.

There was three types of magic in the world. Personal magic, Gnosis which was the magic of the Divine and world magic. He knew personal magic which used his own life, Djed, which was in everything however only occurred with a few mortals and gods. Once used it did give him rewards with no tools yet the rewards were always at a price for it was giving up a part of him each time it was used.

You would regain what you used yet it took time and rest however if you did not rest you could suffer more and more risks. Death would be the lesser of evils in the end in some cases but while he was young he was not that foolish. Even if his mother was blind with the magic however he was to pass on his information to his sister and that type was Hypnotism which the wizard in question used a part of the body, eyes in most cases, to induce effects in the minds of the target or targets.

He did remember the first time he had to learn it. It was when he was but a little child as he kept bugging Amy into teaching him. She did at last yet just thought he would give it up but he did not. He worked hard on it and done more in private then anything for now he was far better and he even had times he thought he was better then his mother now.

He just let his self sit on her bed near the ground and waited. She was in the shower and knew he would be waiting but she did not know he would be in her room. He knew her actions of the night and right after a shower she would head to her room to finish getting ready but he did not have time to waste on that. This was something to be done in days or longer yet he was going to try to speed it up. A risk worth taking in his view.

His outfit was a simple cotton pants and shirt, his feet touching along the ground as he let his mind wander around slightly yet with no large goal in mind. He was worried for she meant the world to him and he never did teach anyone more yet did use her with his powers to help him learn. A means to the end almost but she knew some of the magic yet she never did truly understand but for once she would learn. One way or another.
