A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

He chuckled too at the awkwardness but it didn't bother him, it was funny. He knew she was laughing to try and break it but he could tell she felt it too. He watched her as she moved her fingers to her lips, her movements were less fluid and graceful in that moment and it was from the awkwardness. He mentally shrugged this off and answered back, "Oh yeah, I'm such a charmer." He rolled his eyes at himself when he finished.

Vann turned to face her, leaning one arm against the bar to support himself in a relaxed position. "That's true." He uttered quickly, leaving a short answer. Then he watched as she leaned into him and when she said his name, chills once again were sent down his spine. As she asked the question the chills stop and his heart pounded, he was kinda worried even in his drunken state. Matching her volume he answered back, stuttering as he spoke, "Uh, I.. I suppose." He kept it as vague as possible but truthful, he didn't like others knowing of his abilities and his attempt to beat around the subject obviously didn't work. He looked at her with a slight anticipation in his eyes, along with a hint of fear. He waited for her reply anxiously as his heart pounded harder.

Just Another Day in Ravok

The stuttering in Vann’s voice was enough to make it clear, he wasn’t quite happy or comfortable with the topic, Amelia should have noticed his desire to avoid it back when he was trying to do so with the question about her going back to Zeltiva. None the less, Amelia didn’t care, even if she wasn’t used to always getting what she wants, she would always at least try to get her desired information, person or thing, it didn’t matter, but she wouldn’t back away without trying. Even the frightened look in his eyes didn’t seem to set her off, as she let her palm pull up to his chest and lay there, she was quite amused by his increasing hearth beat, but didn’t pay a lot of attention to it ”don’t worry…please, I don’t bite” Amelia said with a soft giggle, sincerely wishing to calm him down before touching the subject once more.

Taking a small break between her words, she finally began speaking once more ”could you please show me some?” Amelia’s voice coming off shy, while she looked up at him with the most begging eyes the prideful girl could pull out of herself. ”Please? I promise I’m easy to impress” she continued, while her palm left his chest, to take a hold of his hand. Amelia didn’t usually beg so she had no idea how should she enhance the fact she really, really wanted to see some magic. Call it her inner child, stubbornness or curiosity, she couldn’t care less. All the girl knew was that she wanted it badly.

”we can go somewhere else, where ever you want, I’m sure we could find a silent, isolated place” She offered, not quite realizing her own words until it was far too late to take them back, but she hopped the man wouldn’t take advantage of her offer. Seeing how he looks quite nice, maybe even charmed by Amelia and her little, innocent flirting.

Her hand on his chest soothed him a little but her words didn't, his heart was still racing. He couldn't help it, he was always told not to talk about it. It was conflicting inside him what to say next, probably wasn't helping that he was drunk either. He finally just took a deep breath and calmed himself, obviously she wasn't going to ridicule him, otherwise she would have and already left by now.

Vann, finally calmed down a little, raised an eyebrow at the woman, her question angered him but he didn't let it show in the slightest, "Huh, the sweet talk, the cute giggling, her hand on my chest, I don't know why I didn't see it before but she's just a flirt and only interested in what she wants. He thought as she took a hold of his hand. "I don't know." His voice went to a low, almost monotone, "The way you're acting is making it seem you're just trying to get what you want and that's okay, but it's not going to work with me, I'm not a typical man that you've met before. Just because I'm at a bar and drinking doesn't mean that you're subtle touches and giggling can lure me right into where you want me. You seem like you usually get your way, almost spoiled." His voice peeked a little anger as he spoke but it was relevantly low and calm.

He pulled his hand away from her slowly and turned so that he was leaning on the bar with his arms resting on it and his fingers crossed across his lips."I don't think I should show you, I didn't even mean to let you know plus we just met. I'm sorry, I just don't like others knowing about my magic." He finished, his tone was apologetic and sincere, shifting his eye to the mug then back with a slight shake of his head.

Just Another Day in Ravok

Postby Amelia Cross on November 20th, 2012, 10:21 pm

Saying that Amelia was disappointed was just scratching the surface; her sanity could see perfect reason behind the man’s reaction and words. She was coming on him too strong, too strong even for her own usual manner. But she was still disappointed in herself that she didn’t manage to see what she wanted. It wasn’t even the fact she didn’t get what she wants that set her eyes to a small glimpse of sadness, she is quite used to being cut the things she wants no matter how much she tries to get them, big thank you to her father for that. However this time, she was sadder that she didn’t see magic, she loved fairytales and for her, magic has always been the main building block of those tales. ”I assume I won’t manage to see magic then”

None the less, once she was called spoiled her own mind seemed to go blurry. How could one know of her being spoiled, how could he dare to call her spoiled when all she knows and has is the hard work of her or her mother, even the money her father has never spoiled her and she never craved it, it was soaked in Ryhsol and The Black sun. None the less, she was thought better than to just jump on someone for no clear reasons and burst out in anger in public. ”I advise one to speak only what he knows of, especially when accusing someone as me of being spoiled, I have my own scars of life, they just can’t be seen on my skin” Amelia claimed, clearly getting worked up by each word, and for a moment she really did feel embarrassed by the situation, she wanted to have innocent fun and a good time, a chat but instead she was here close to an argue, good thing she hadn’t increased her manner of speech, it still came off silent enough for the rest of the people in the tavern not to notice it ”I’m sorry, I got too worked up there…just some things I dislike hearing of me…” she said, and without looking in the man’s eyes, she turned towards the bar with her whole body, looking into the mug, letting her thoughts drift away for a moment as her fingers played with each other.

”just for the record, I didn’t know you do magic when I sat here and began talking” she stated, pulling her fingers into her velvet purrs and taking out 4 copper mizas to pay for her drink.

Just Another Day in Ravok

Vann looked over at her to see her reaction, there was a part of him that wanted her to ask again to see it but at the same time, he didn't want her to. He sighed as she spoke and answered slowly, "Maybe if I knew you better." He looked back at the bar as he felt the kind of sadness pour over the area they were at.

He listened to her and she was just as angry as he was, he smiled at that, he worked her up; a girl that seem so collected and a simple word pushed her over. It was what he was expecting and he actually wanted her to get worked up, he knew she didn't like that and the fact that it upset her meant that his words held some weight to her. "That was uncalled for." He started to apologize, "You're obviously not spoiled since you came on your own accord and your father still doesn't want to spend time with you. Being spoiled means being selfish, in a way, and you're definitely not selfish. I'm sorry I said that, it must be the alcohol pushing my emotions to extreme." He shrugged, "Don't apologize, I started it." Pausing, he looked over at her, turning his body to face her even though she didn't face him, "I know you didn't know I knew magic." He lowered his voice at the word 'magic', "And to make up for my rudeness, I could show you a little, just a little. Even if it goes against my own ways." He finished, hoping that she would forgive him and accept his petty offer. He liked this woman and didn't want to ruin the start of a potential friendship.

Just Another Day in Ravok

Postby Amelia Cross on November 21st, 2012, 6:21 am

Amelia was clearly about to leave, she might have thought the man was a nice company, but held no interest in someone who dared to insult her upon the first time they met. Just a second more and she would have jumped off her seat, like the little girl she always was. But the words this man spoke, an apology, it somehow managed to touch her enough to make her stay and at least listen to his words. ”it’s not the alcohol, it’s my behavior” Amelia stated calmly as her voice had regained her passive, yet slightly uplifting manner of speech.

”thank you for the offer” the girl answered his offer of seeing some magic after all, at this moment she had a little argue on the inside. A part of her was cheering, as she had gotten what she wanted, that part was even dancing and singing in her as she continued to act that the offer didn’t affect her and she was still hurt, this part didn’t usually get its way so she could understand the conflict in her. Then there was the honest side of guilt, that she felt creep onto her soul as she knew, that she was pushing this man out of his comfort zone in more ways that she’d usually like. Above everything else, maybe she was mistaking, but he seemed sincere, the men she’d usually be with are the ones who’s morals are lower than grass and nobody but themselves mattered.”oh stop this Amelia, you don’t want to hurt a good boy now, do you” she cursed in her own mind, still not turning back to face Vann, not out of principle, out of guilt, which also wasn’t quite the often emotion for her.

”…but you want to see magic” came the soft whisper of her own mind as she turned to face him, letting her eyes wonder around the place before they met his, she was really searching for something, probably the answer she should give him, but reading eyes was never her strongest part. Amelia lightly bit her lower lips, before finally speaking ”I’d…I’d really like that” she confessed, no masks this time.

Just Another Day in Ravok

Vann watched her, he could tell she wasn't wanting to be near him by the way she moved. He looked at the bar and then back to her, "I really am sorry." He paused but didn't start back up, the conversation had dulled and the words that came so smoothly at first were now blocked by the awkward feeling.

He sat and thought, keeping his body turned towards her while he did, letting the long silence linger as he built up a sentence in his mind, "Well.." He started, "When and where would you like to see it?" He asked, very awkwardly which was odd for Vann, he was rather competent when talking to others and his voice was usually strong but now it was low and monotone. It was probably because of the mixed emotions he had stirring through his thoughts, not counting the alcohol but the dominate emotion that ran across his mind was joy. He was happy that she accepted his apology and that he could continue being in her acquaintance. Hopefully this would become something better when he finally showed her the magic, maybe he would finally have a friend.

Just Another Day in Ravok

Postby Amelia Cross on November 27th, 2012, 8:21 am

The awkwardness between the two was clear to see for anyone who buttered to let their eyes spot them. It had all started like an innocent chat, Amelia was looking for a new subject to study and have some fun, she was wearing her mask of joy and desire, but somewhere it had changed from a game and Amelia had become sincere, honest and that wasn’t usually for her, probably her honesty was the reason for the awkwardness. After all, the girl usually manipulates things to go her way, but now…it was far different from what she’d like and what should happen.

It toke her quite the time to think over his words, she had just admitted that she’d want to see the magic, so she couldn’t look for an escape from the situation and was forced into by her own miscalculation. ”Well…whatever you are willing to show me” she simply stated, clearly lost of words ”I’m a traveler, I don’t know Ravok all that well but…” she began, slowly regaining her confident manner of speech as she decided to just go with the situation, handle it the way she would usually ”we won’t get anywhere if we stay here, now won't we?” Amelia finished, her body turned to Vann once more, as she didn’t waist much time, pulling her hand up to his and without hesitation, tangling their fingers together. A small, playful smirk from before found it's way to Amelia's red lips as she jumped off her seat and began pulling him out the tavern in a completely unknown direction.

The movement from boredom to the upbeat tone that she had moved Vann too. He was no aware and interested in the conversation as he was when they first spoke. He listened carefully as she spoke, tracing and playing her words through his mind and analyzing her speech. He was glad to hear her upbeat tone.

As she pulled his hand, he couldn't do much but obey the direction in which she pulled him, not like he didn't want to go that way though. "I don't want to sound weird or creepy but we should go were others wouldn't see us. I don't want many to know.." He finished as he was now on his feet, just a puppet in her controls.

Just Another Day in Ravok

Postby Amelia Cross on November 30th, 2012, 7:32 pm

Amelia had to agree, that for the first moment his words did sound creepy. She met him just now and he was talking about going in a place where they wouldn’t be seen? If Amelia didn’t know better she’d be running away, not dragging him along. ”I understand, let’s see if we can find a place like that, no?” she giggled softly while walking, she realized that there was no reason for holding his hand anymore, but it felt nice and she assumed it’s fine as long as he doesn’t protest.

From the moment they left the tavern she had spotted a man following them. For the first moment she assumed it was just a coincidence or her being paranoid, but as they crossed through the small paths between the houses and bridges, the man followed. Amelia usually wouldn’t run, but as she realized not so long ago, Ravok had made her paranoid and worried so she pulled up closer to Vann and everyone who looked with just a glance would think that she is trying to get to her boyfriend ”Vann, did you notice that man following us?” she whispered, pulling up closely to him, still letting her eyes look over at the man who seemed to have stopped not too far from them, resting against a building ”do you know where we could lose him? Or am I paranoid?” she almost chuckled at the thought of her being worried over nothing.
