Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Correspondence Thread for Elem Bree

Postby Nira'lia on October 7th, 2012, 12:51 pm

OOCI think this would arrive about 30-40 days after she sent it. Not really sure.

A letter is handed to Elem Bree. Its seal was evidently unbroken and unsealed again, implying that it had been read by somebodyImass's idea. The letter was unknowingly opened by a nosy Knight :P. it was not meant for.

1st Fall 512 AV

Elem Bree
The Sanctuary, Riverfall

Dear Elem Bree,

First of all… if ever you receive this letter, then I must explain how it was able to reach you. If you remember, I have Mother Avalis’s first mark, and this allowed me to look into your chavi and somehow figure out where you might be. It was very difficult, but I did see you surrounded by many Akalaks. I took a guess and addressed this to Riverfall’s sanctuary, because I would assume that if you were in this city, you would be working here. I really do hope I’m right, and I hope this reaches you.

Thank you for your letter and your kind words. I received it late, but I very much appreciate it. Fate has led me to travel with a Syliran contingent, and we are marching towards Sahova right now. Since you are a medic such as me, I wanted to tell you about a problem we’re facing. A lot of the people here are falling sick, and it’s getting worse every passing day. We think it’s the plague, but we can’t be sure. Would you or any of your colleagues happen to know what is going on? Perhaps you have word from the other cities? We think it started from Zeltiva, but we are really very clueless at this point. If you have any clues that would help us, I hope you’ll be able to give me a reply before it’s too late. You will just need to address a letter to my name and send it to the Syliran contingent. The carriers know where to find us.

I hope you are doing well. I apologize if my letter brings nothing but bad tidings, but I am truly worried about the health of everyone here.

512 Fall 4th
Elem Bree
The Sanctuary, Riverfall

Dear Elem Bree,

I know this letter is dated very closely to the first one I sent, but I thought it would be a good idea to update you with what is going on. I greatly hope that you are able to receive these.

Matters are becoming worse, and even if only a couple of days have passed, we still have no clue as to where the sickness is coming from. It’s strange, because the only way I can describe it is there is a sordid air of unhealthiness. The symptoms vary from person to person and it doesn’t appear to be just one type of disease. Even flesh wounds become worse. I just had to amputate a squire’s arm because what had been simply a bad cut had festered into a terrible infection.

However, on the bright side, there is one man here who seems to be exempt of disease. His name his Murdock (in full, it might be Egyptus Murdock, I’m not sure at the moment). He is in a coma at the moment but his body does not seem to catch sickness, and even amidst all this, he still appears to look very healthy. I do not know the reason, but perhaps he has answers, perhaps something that would be able to help up. I pray that he will awake soon.

With love,
Nira’lia
