3rd of Fall, 512 A.V. Early Morning "You haven't missed much I'm afraid" Ethan had taken an earlier shift so that he could give her a tour first thing in the morning. The city was busier in the early hours, but not as grimy. Men and women were heading to the docks in droves. Most, if not all, worked on ships or around them. They crowded the markets or temples, praying or eating before their work day begins. Things were slower in the morning, the typical scum Ethan dealt with didn't rise this early or stood out harshly amongst those with a mind to work. He only had to remove himself from Sondra's side a few times. Mostly to deal with children crowding around merchant stalls. "They'll strip 'em clean if you don't watch out. Little like little, like rats really." They continued down the market road. Ethan chiming in whenever he noticed a store he particularly liked, commenting about the merchants themselves. "Him, over there selling cloth. He likes to talk about his day as he's feeding the birds. Apparently he is lonely but can't seem to find anyone willing." He had spent many hours watching people in his Lammergeier form. Practicing Auristics and listening to them ramble on to themselves or to others. "I thought about speaking to him about it, but don't know were I could start." He laughed and turned to Sondra. "Maybe I can talk you into it? He's wealthy enough, pleasant company, at least to birds." |
