A Message (Kelmar)

Postby Valerius Nitrozian on December 19th, 2012, 5:37 am

Tuuli arrived a few chimes after Kelmar and Heldora. The young woman looked different from what she had looked when she had been with Valerius. This time she wore her long, dark hair in a braid and had used a little makeup. Her dress was a dark shade of red, and she wore black ankle boots with a low heel. She looked a little older now, twenty maybe instead of seventeen or eighteen.

There was a soft smile on her face, just like before. She didn’t see the point of screaming and being angry. In her opinion it was always better to behave well and be polite, no matter what was happening.

As she walked in Kelmar’s direction, she glanced at the slaves that were on display. If she was bothered by the fact that people like her – fellow slaves – were treated like that, she didn’t show it. She was just happy that she had such a good life in the Nitrozian Estate. In fact she had a better life than a lot of free people.

„Master.“ She curtsied as she stood in front of Kelmar, remembering the role she was supposed to play, and then she turned to Heldora and nodded, not knowing what to say to the woman. „I’m ready. What would you like me to do?“

A Message (Kelmar)

Postby Kelmar Hedos on December 23rd, 2012, 9:38 am

Heldora cast a raised eyebrow in her companion's direction. "She's very pretty," she commented aloud, looking for a reaction. "How'd you get her to do that?"

Ignoring the question, Kelmar focused on Tuuli. She looked slightly different from yesterday, though similar enough for him to recognize her. The makeup made her look a bit older and more mature, someone of an age that many unscrupulous and shameless slave owners like that Larks would take a interest in. That indeed ran through Kelmar's mind several times, a beneficial detail that he might be able to manipulate to their advantage. The red dress was slightly fancier than that of the simple white garment Valerius had allowed her the day before, further benefitting the cover he had been forming.

"Before we start, I want to introduce Heldora Genanis," the agent spoke, gesturing to his clean and presentable partner. The young man himself was still dressed in his dark grey cloak with the hood drawn up over his eyes, a little out of place amidst the two women.

At her mention, the young woman, who was only a few years older than Kelmar, made a curt nod at Tuuli. "Nice to meet you," she greeted genuinely. Her experience with slaves was minimal to say the least, and she was unsure of how to act normally around one.

"She'll be here posing as the servant to a merchant family in the market looking for some new slaves. You're here as the example, an attractive young woman who is pleasing to the eye. Heldora will handle most of the talking, asking around for any similar specimens sold openly or otherwise, but if any are to ask you of your work and master just mention that you are loyal to 'master Galatos' and serve as his private slave. What exactly that means is entirely up to you, though it should be at least hinted at that you occasionally sleep with your master so as to let the slavers have a better idea as to what kind of slave Heldora is looking for."

Checking to see if Tuuli understood, Kelmar widened his address so that he was talking to both women. "While you two are doing that, I will be wandering around the pavilion and keeping an eye out for any dealings that look shady or closed for whatever reason. One may point to the Lark's deal. I'll also follow you two to see if any of the slavers you talk with do anything after your departure."

Then, turning to Heldora, he began to finish. "Remember, the deal that this Lark is making is definitely not of the legal sort. Make it perfectly clear you're looking for fine slave women no matter where from, especially darker corners. Names, dates, locations, whatever you can gather that I can follow up on."

"I got it Kel, get out of here," his partner in crime replied jokingly. And so the agent did, walking away into the pavilion, looking around the different pillars and slavers for any sign of discreet activity. There was probably plenty in a place like this, so the challenge would be finding the right kind.

While Kelmar had gone off to perform his task, Heldora turned to face Tuuli. "Well, shall we go?" she asked, gesturing to the inside of the pavilion, into the deep where the slavers were and hence where she would be heading.

OOCI think we should get a moderator for this thread before we go too much further, unless we have permission to self-mod. The Larks are a pretty big family name though.
Will be gone for a couple days, grades need lifting
