Xi Pressed his fingers into his temples yet again. So she really didn't remember anything. Was this a good thing? A bad thing ? whatever it was it was insane. She'd just lost everything, and more importantly she hadn't screamed at him for touching her. Or jumped out of her skin for the same reason. Xi leant back in his chair and brushed the bandage around his head. What exactly was he going to do with this situation? He couldn't just explain everything she'd think he was lying, but then again he didn't know much if anything about her. What was he going to do. Sighing he just told her what he could. "Since you don't know who you are your right your name is ana. Your a pain in the back side but a nice enough person. Your currently in the city hidden in the trees, also known as the spires, it's full of jamoura. Which are gorilla people. As i've said before my name is Xi, or Ximal. i'm a friend. Or at least one of a few. Theres not much else i know about you, you never thought it prominent nor, worth telling me. Truth be told your a pretty secretive person." Leaning back in his chair he massaged his temples more before lightly touching the cut on the side of his head through the bandages. It still stung but that was to be expected it was only about ten to twelve hours old. |

Ana digested this information carefully, eyes conflicted, brows furrowing as if she were concentrating on remembering. Nothing was familliar. What made her look at Xi funny was that he had called her a very secretive person; that wouldn't help her remember anything at all if she had kept to herself most of the time prior to this moment. Sighing, she hung her head and shook it absent mindedly, all she could do was wonder, and ponder she did. Shrugging she scooted to sit a little closer to him, curiousity now alight in her face, and eyes "th-that's n-no good then," she stated with a serious tone that couldn't match the curiousity she now spewed "then I s-suppose all h-hope is lost? S-surely I must ha-have had more th-than one fr-friend!"
She hopped off the bed and stood, wobbled a bit but regained her balance; her eyes now examined the room thouroughly. It was rectangular in shape, small, but not to the point it would have made someone claustrophobic, the walls and floor were wood, and there were windows which allowed light to filter through freely. Next to her bed was a black cloak, and some boots, including a shortsword. What kind of person had she been? Taking steps to the window past Xi to look through it, but no more than five steps did she trip on her own two clumsy feet down to the floor. With a surprised gasp, she fell, arms raised up to catch herself from the fall and everything go dizzy. |

Was he really going to have to look after her like a child ? Xi sighed and rolled himself forwards in his chair. As ana spoke Xi lifted his head and responded too her. "Hope is only lost when you give up. And yes you do have more than one friend, a few infact, me, zandelia, kalia, and a few others that i might not know of." Xi smiled honestly as he responded to her but his face hid the fact that he'd kept the mention of wren out of his speakings, he was determined to have her at least try and forget about him in some manner, after all the havoc he'd played with her mind. Though when she stood Xi noticed she didn't have as much balance as she had before, even her walking around was clunky and heavy footed compared to her normal scampering that he'd grown used to listening out for. Xi watched her flutter about like a small child. and couldn't help but let his face curl into a grin, he'd never seen her or anyone like this. Everyone he knew had far too many secrets about their past. Xi didn't like that fact, but then again he had secrets of his own he didn't want to talk about. But after a few steps she tripped over her own too feet, within a fraction of a second on flux assisted snapping out, he'd sprung from his chair, the djed had gone to his legs and reacted faster than before. He thanked himself for his training as he slid his arms out and beneath her arc of all. Attempting to scoop her up in a semi princess style.
"Ana i think that ice block effected your movement, normally your a lot lighter footed than that and you can out run me fairly easily. So just take it slow for a while until you remember how your body used to move. Xi smiled honestly as he slipped her from his arms and placed her lightly body down onto the bed and began to tie her boots off onto her feet. "I'm doing this because i doubt you remember how to tie your own laces." Xi sighed, she'd have to relearn a lot about who and what she was, Xi still found it amusing to watch her at least try to act like she was alright, both the stutter and the lack of motor skills make it easy to see that she wasn't as alright as she acted to be. Still he slipped on and tied off her other boot. "I'd suggest just taking a minute to see if you can at least attempt to walk in your boots, and dont worry if you fall again i'll catch you. " |

The ground never came to connect with her, instead she had been lifted up suddenly and so quickly, she felt dazed from the transition of falling to being stable. Xi had been the reason she was now not on the floor, but he had also been the reason why a deep spread blush was now flushed on her face. Embarresement seeped into her mind as he set her down, dissapointment, she had been quick and light footed beforehand; what had that meant? Her face seemed to contort into confusion once more as she was left with an inability to speak properly, her stutters worse than before; to the point she had to breath, and just take a moment to shut up. He had caught her, and now he was doing her boot laces up like she were a mere child- wait- did she know how to tie her laces?
Ana didn't know, how he was doing it seemed vaguely familliar to her, but the motions she would have to attempt herself to know for sure she knew how.
What was that on her face, as she glanced away from him to look to the window- anger? Yes, anger.
"I-I-i-i-i c-c-could have.." she started, terribly, with her stutter "d-done it m-myself," she pursed her lips into a childish pout.
Feeling her tounge go all over the place with her words, she clasped her hands together and began to fiddle with her thumbs, it seemed nervous twitches didn't die hard even in the face of amnesia. What was she going to do? She couldn't go out like this, what if she made a fool of herself, this greater self she had been? Was she great even in the first place? Or was she just some hermit slinking about like she didn't belong in the Spires? Whatever the case, she wasn't sure how she was suppose to act.. She felt quiet, withdrawn, emotional, anything and everything inbetween and certainly not what she must of had been before this incident.
His suggestion to try to walk again had fallen on light ears, she feared of failing again. She was attempting to stay composed and calm, but was finding it rather hard to succeed in that. Ana felt as if she didn't have the emotional control for being such a mysterious person beforehand, it just made her mouth mess up more. Frustration became evident, she couldn't speak properly. Facepalming herself with both hands and put her elbows to her knees, she didn't want him to see her cry over something so silly as this. |

Ana held her breath, feeling the tension build in her body as she witheld all her tears, her eyes watering beneath her hands and her nose running. When she breathed in, her body seemed to shake and her grasp on her tears lessened with every breath. Until finally she was just crying, and trying to hide her face from him; stray, quiet, but higher pitched whines escaped her, coming from the back of her throat that broke with every breath.
Her body felt strange, as if doing such a menial action wasn't normal for it to do. It made her feel sicker with every passing second that she tried to continue bottle all the emotions up, attempting to stop them with a mental plug, but they just spewed past the holey cork and leaked out.
It was almost too much when Xi hugged her, taking her much by surprise; his words a flood gate opener.
While she didn't want to break into all out wails and sobs, she returned hug slowly, as if her body was retalliating at the motion, though she may not have remembered why or if she were wary of being close... her body did remember. Crying as silently as she could, hiding her head in the nook of his neck and shoulder. Between shuddery breaths, and faulty tears, she managed to croak out her main concern to him, albeitly into that little niche.
"I-I-I'm just s-s-scared, I-I want to th-think it-it's al-alright b-but it's n-not.." |

He'd never even close to seen this side of her, normally she was the one who really had a bee in her bonnet about him. But right now she just needed someone to be there and help her out, at least in his eyes. Pressing her a lightly tighter and just letting her vent everything. Her tears just increased as he held her clos, not doing anything more than he had been , letting his hand stroke her back slowly. Her words were some he was expecting. Of course she was scared everything she'd known had been ripped from her in the flash of an instant, had he not been there gods only knows what may have happened or who would have taken advantage. "It's ok, just let it out. It's ok to be scared, everything you've ever known has just left you. I'here and i'm going to help you as best i can, so untill you feel better just let everything out it's ok. " Right now Xi coould feel the guilt building in him, he'd caused all this, he'd let oine chunk of ice slip past him, he should have jumped in the way, he should have taken it himself. But he couldn't now, and it was his responsibility to help her and make sure that she was alright. Pressing her a little tighter he took a deep breath and when she felt better he would let her go but not until she wanted too. |

The frightened girl nodded her head into his shoulder, clinging tighter to him, as if he were becoming her only lifeline. There was nothing else that could be done at that moment besides weep into his frame, cry, and cry, until there was nothing left to cry about. Everything would be fine, he said, it's okay to be scared, he said, better to let her emotions out, he said; Ana sniffled after what had seemed to be ages. Drained of any energy she may have had earlier, despite her wanting to break the hug- she didn't. The insecure feeling she had over being close to him trickled away, just being able to have someone to comfort her was more than she could have asked from him.
Whispering, she was unsure if he could hear her- but she said it anyways "th-thankyou.." Ana cleared her throat, and backed away from him a little to wipe her eyes and nose with her sleeve, corners of her mouth downwards, with trembling lips.
"Y-you're a good f-friend.." Ana looked at her knees, "thankyou.. I don't kn-know what I'd d-do without y-you.." She brought her hands down, fiddled with her fingers, her eyes muddled with thought- going distant seeming. What would have happened to her if Xi hadn't been there? She felt she had to offer something, "s-sorry I don't r-remember anything.. I-if or wh-when I do r-remember.. I p-promise to tell you a-as much as I-i can." Would that be okay for such a supposed hermit as herself could let another know? Ana wondered, a rather melancholic expression on her face prevaded any other emotion there could have been.
If Xi was her friend, she felt as if friends should know alot about eachother- keeping secrets just didn't seem right. |

"I w-want to tell you ev-everything th-though... What if so-something li-like this ha-happens a-again?" Ana questioned him, didn't he see that she couldn't remember anything due to the fact no one knew anything? She was certain if people knew more about her then they would have been able to make her mind click back into gear, she would possibly be able to remember then.
Her eyes travelled from his hand to his face, she remained sitting down as she was unsure... She fell once- who was to say she would not fall again? Biting her lip as she looked back down, her shoulders hunched as she seemed to become a turtle hiding within its shell; fingers playing with themselves as she watched them, no more than simple nervous twitches that helped her stay calm. There were too many thoughts, too many questions, too many possibilities; how was she to be so certain that everything would indeed be alright?
Simple thoughts became complex, she had to shake herself from them.
"O-okay..y-you will catch if I-i f-fall, right?" Ana asked, lifting her hand to take his waiting one timidly. Allowing herself to be pulled up, and then balancing by herself, indeed her center of mass seemed to be fine now. Perhaps he was right that it was because of all those swirling thoughts around her mind that had been the reason for her falling in the first place? No matter what the cause, it seemed to have been rectifyed. |
