Zachary shivered violently as he awoke. The days were warm, yes, but The warmth of his other half has since disappeared. It's strange to think just a few months ago this cold would be nothing. If I am to stay here any longer I should find warmer shelter, clothes or seek out Queen Morwen. As he thought to himself, Zachary started to pack his bag, or rather unpack, so that he can begin his day. He sorted through his clothes first then his toiletries. Zachary grabbed his shirt, underwear and shorts, putting them on as he grabbed them. He then grabbed his shoes, gloves and bracers. As he finished lacing his shoes Zachary looked for some of his food.

"Aha! There you are." Zachary exclaimed as he reached into his pack and pulled out a slice of bread. He scarfed down the bread and returned the items he didn't need to his pack. Standing up, Zachary grabbed his sword fastened it to his left hip, opposite his quiver of arrows. He then wrapped up in his cloak, shaking off the snow as he did. Zachary started to walk slinging his bag over his shoulder and grabbing his bow. His destination was unknown for the most part. As Zachary made it to the street he stopped and looked both ways. Which way to the craftsmen,I've been here on and off for over a year and still don't know my way. He closed his eyes, took a few steps forward, turned in a circle and when he opened his eyes he started to walk that direction being sure not to hit anything in his way.

*p.s. Any and all interaction is welcome, I am fairly new so please forgive me for any lore mistakes, spelling errors and lack of content.*

OOC: I won't be making replys for a little...will not be home.and this is short because I have to go :/

Jesslyn heard muffle laughs. Sylvia was actually one of the ones laughing. Tugging on her friends arm Jesslyn frowned, "What's so funny?" Sylvia only answered with a small pat, " You remember how you are? Where you can't find your way?" Jesslyn's eyebrows narrowed. "I was only kidding! But there's a man who looks just as lost as that."

Jesslyn sighed, "It's not that funny it's actually stressful." Pulling away from her friend and asked where the man was standing. Sylvia took her hand and put it in the direction he was at. Moving away from her friend with a slight nod she let her walking stick guide her. Giving small hellos to those who welcomed her.

When her staff hit the ground she was able to see the shape of a man as she came closer. "Sir, I'm guessing you are lost. What are you looking for, I might be able to help...or my friend over there." Jesslyn pointed back to the direction Sylvia who was shacking in laughter.

Quest for a Chest - 48 of Winter, 512

Postby Zachary Omago on January 19th, 2013, 4:20 am

Zachary looks up out of his daze of spinning."Oh. Hello, I'm afraid you are right. I am indeed lost." Zachary chuckles a little. He stops and looks at the young woman. "And why would I seek help from your friend, after all you are the one who approached to help me." Zachary studied the girl as he patiently awaited her response.

Zachary, although focused in his actions still let's his mind wander from time to time; As he waited and studied the girl, who was younger in appearance than he but not by much, he quickly placed his bow on his back. Zachary had a sense of unease coming over the girl and felt it was because of his weaponry. Such a pretty girl. I'm glad she came to my rescue, hah, my rescue. I feel so lame, oh well I suppose it's for the better I do need to find a craftsmen and...well...some company for when I come to town would be nice. A smile appears on his face that started as a smirk.

All of these thoughts happening in what felt like a few hours in his head was in fact only a few seconds. "You see, I am in search of a craftsmen who can make me a chest. I'm glad you stopped to help." Zachary blurted with a smile on his face.

"Because I simply am the one with the reason to help, but I can't really see to help. I get lost easily too." Jesslyn shrugged. Bating her staff on the ground back and forth like it was just something to do to pass time Jesslyn watched his movements. He seemed to put something away and guessing from be sound it was something wooden and had a string. Probably a bow, she mused.

"A chest?" Jesslyn paused, thinking over the places where they could find one,"You could possibly go to a carpenter. Pretty sure they would have one. Jesslyn no longer heard the sound of her friend,"Is she still there or as she left...I can't really see...." Jesslyn frowned in the direction Sylvia should be, but Sylvia had been called away and no longer stood in the area. Though Jesslyn couldn't tell she had a feeling her friend had a left her.

"You really can't see?" Zachary waves his hand in front of her face. Retracting it quickly Zachary shakes his head. "I'm sorry, that was very rude of me. I just don't understand how you can't see, you approached me so confidently. I should not have waved my hand in front of your face regardless. I'm sorry." Through his apologies, Zachary notices that the girl has started to tapping her stick on the ground. Zachary looks up in a moment of sudden realization. I don't know this girls name. Hah, we haven't even made introductions.

Zachary lifts his right hand and gently places it on the girls shoulder. "I don't think we have officially met." He slides his hand down her arm and takes hers in his. "I'm Zachary Omago, Zach for short if you like. It is a pleasure to meet you--" Zachary looked up for a moment to notice the girls friend leaving.

Returning his gaze at the girls eyes Zachary acknowledges her reply."Yes, a carpenter should have one but I do not know where to find one. That's where you come in" Zachary gives a slight chuckle.

"I'm afraid your friend left but I will be glad to keep you company until she returns. That's of course if you are willing to wait with a man like me." Zachary looks hopefully at her, knowing full well she can't see him he stops. "If you don't want to wait here we can go in search of her. Would you like that?" Zachary then offers his arm to her by grabbing her hand and guiding it to his arm. " I'll be glad to escort you." Zachary says as he is guiding her hand to the crook in his arm.

OOC :
in all your posts you need to go through and edit the boxcodes to look like this: {/center}{/framepic}{/style} but with [], it will fix the problems you are having with your posts..and the reply box being up here.

She had 'seen' his hand come up to her face but ignored it. Many people had done it and always were met with a blank stare. "I was born blind." Jesslyn shrugged, "It's simple as that."

The hand on her shoulder startled her a little. She became very conscious of his movements. Feeling more than 'seeing' his hand glide down her arm to take his hand in hers. She listened to his words but was slightly weary, men were not supposed to be so touchy with those they just met..even the disabled. But being the kind heart she is she kept her mouth shut about it, "I'm Jesslyn Skyglow. I think I'll stick with Zachary."

When he gave a slight chuckle she could feel it. It was different than usual. She was used to just being able to hear the sound of laughter. Sylvia had never been touching Jesslyn when she laughed. "Do that again." realizing that what she said was really vague she quickly continued, "I mean laugh. Or chuckle, do it again....please?"

Jesslyn let him lead her hand to the crook of his arm, "No, she's likely going to go take care of her husband. The 'man' he is." she gave a small laugh, "Great as he is, Sylvia does most of the supporting...but don't tell him I said that."

Jesslyn paused, "We need to get you to the Frozen Falls Market. I don't think it's far from here.... Sylvia led me here so I don't know which Hold we are in. If it's the Winterflame Hold I am extremely embarrassed. I should have been able to smell the breads and such."

"Now, why are you in search of a chest?" She smiled, her eyes slightly changing to a cross in between the usual purple and a light pink.

"oh, in that case if you don't see it as a hinderence I will not either." A look of discontent comes across Zachary's face. Why am I so rude and such an idiot? He shakes his head bringing his attention back to the girl.

Zachary nods his head in acceptance to her calling him Zachary rather than Zach. "Well it is a pleasure to meet you Ms. Skyglow." Was that too formal? Humph, I'm not really good at this personal interaction thing. Zachary looks to Jesslyn for approval of his calling her 'Ms.'.

"Do that again...I mean laugh. Or chuckle, do it again...please?"

A strange request... Zachary forces a chuckle but its not the same as a genuine laugh. His arm twitches slightly as he feels Jesslyn adjust her hand in the crook of his arm. " we'll if we are not going to look for your friend I suppose we can look for my chest." Zachary looks around searching the buildings for familiarity. " may I ask why your friend takes care of her husband? And why I shouldn't tell him what you said?" This time a genuine chuckle leaves Zamchary's mouth, hoping to tease Jesslyn rather than interrogate her.

hmm, I don't smell bread either. Nothing is familiar. No music... Zachary returned to looking for a landmark to tell him which hold they are in. "Well I don't have a vast knowledge of Avanthal but it doesn't smell like bread so it can't be Winterflame hold right? I don't hear music, meaning this isn't my favorite hold Snowsong hold. Do you know how long it takes you to get from hold to hold?"

Zachary looks Jesslyn in the eyes. Wow her eyes are beautiful, the way they change color is amazing. He looks away snapping back to the moment, "Yes the chest. It's to store my belongings when I'm in town." Zachary takes his free hand and scratches the back of his head.

Quest for a Chest - 48 of Winter, 512

Jesslyn snorted at his formal name, "Come now. You can't go calling everyone by their Holds. First names make us different and our last names give us a place. Call Me Jesslyn... or Jess seeing as you gave me a choice, you can have one yourself. Or even be creative as Sylvia has become and make up a name." Jesslyn loved nicknames, while she would never tell her parents that she would always leave it up to people on what she should be called.

Names were unique to every person, so why not give them the choice of having even more beauty with new names? Jesslyn could name the ones she had so far. Jesslyn, Jess, Lovely Icemaiden, Lynn, Slyn, Beaut, Snowflake, and the one that puzzled her to no end was Ginger. She simply excepted them, they made her...her. Adding a little of 'spice, as corny as that was, to her.

Jesslyn could feel the laughter as he finished asking her more questions. It felt...vibrant. Kind-of like the feeling that passes over you when you walk into a warm building after being in the cold for so long. But it sounded like howl of a single wolf, the way it echoed with communication but didn't hold any sorrow.

Remembering that he had asked questions she lightly blushed, "Sorry, I was... examining something." Pausing she gathered herself and let out a small laugh herself, "Aw, yes. Well, while he is a good man he stresses over little things. He is always found passed out on one of their chairs with paint all over him. So Sylvia is usually the one to get him up into bed, feed him, and usher him out to his shop." Jesslyn giggled at the 'site' she had 'seen' this morning when Sylvia had them stop at her house first. Dollin had been half on the chair and the rest of him could be found on the bed. They had moved their table closer to the bed because of Dollins painting tendencies. "And you shouldn't tell him I said that because he supports the family financially wise...while she's what forces him to do so."

Jesslyn was patient with his questions. He did seem to have a lot too. "By myself..." Jesslyn stopped tapping her staff on the ground and carried it by the middle. He was her eyes for now so no need it using the item anyway. "Well, I usually get lost on my own. So Just depends on the route I take." Jesslyn shrugged.

Moving shifting her silk cloak so it wasn't bundling up as they walked she continued, "But with Sylvia... depends on where we are going and who she runs into." Jesslyn gave a small smile, "And I really lack a sense of 'time'. While unusual it's not uncommon with being blind." she gave another small shrug. She didn't see being blind as a disability but more as a challenge that not all were blessed with.

"When you're in town?" Jesslyn questioned. Her eyebrows furrowing as her eyes faded back to the normal dull, ever blank, dark purple. "You mean to say you are going to simply leave a chest in a random area and hope it's there when you come back?" Is puzzled her to no end that this man would do such a thing, "Come now, that can't be secure."

Jesslyn in the distance could hear the faint laugh of Sylvia, as it was loud and obnoxious..at least to Jesslyn it was. But then again she had heard the laugh too many times to not notice it. But she could also feel Sylvia's eyes. Of course Sylvia wouldn't leave her Lovely Icemaiden alone with a stranger. While she might have given the appearance of leaving Jesslyn she was probably only giving Jesslyn space to make new friends, but keeping a watchful eye on the stranger. Sylvia is weird like that, Jesslyn concluded.

Zachary nods with a smile that is not quite a smile, "we'll in that case I will call you Jesslyn. I don't know you well enough to call you any other name." Zachary takes a deep breath as shiver comes over him. It was still freezing outside and the cold was becoming to much for him, the lack of fur and minimal clothing doesn't help either. "What is it you were examining?" Another shiver rushes through his body.

Well I suppose work can be pretty stressful. Zachary nods slightly in acceptance. He was always on his own so he didn't understand the codependency those in a relationship have. As he pondered the very thought he looked back at all the times he wished he had someone tell him he needed to get up or go to work or get the food. Zachary looked back at Jesslyn "Very well, I won't tell him. I didn't plan on it anyway" Another chuckle as he finished his sentence. Zachary has never felt so happy before let alone laughed so much, he just seemed to miss interactions with people.

"Well no matter I'm sure we can find the market, it can't be that hard, right?" Zachary noticed the smile on her face the first one he actually noticed. Well she seems amused and good I feel like an idiot with all the smiling and laughing. Zachary looks around a bit more trying to describe the location to her. "I see a few small buildings, shops maybe or like workshops." That's all he can really see and he is not any closer to finding where they are since his knowledge of Avanthal is not the greatest.

Zachary scratched his head. Being in town only happens when he needs supplies or if he were trading game. Jesslyn's questions confused him since he knew nothing different. To Zachary leaving your stuff in a chest in the wild was no different than leaving it in a house in town.Zachary pauses and takes a deep breath, the cold air filling his lungs. He exhales and feels slightly refreshed. He always loved the cold air filling his lungs.

"Yeah, I live out in the forests of the Northern Reaches." He shivers again and takes his free hand to rub his chest for warmth. After a moment of rubbing his chest he puts it up to his mouth and blows some hot air into it. "It wouldn't be a random place for me. Plus it will be locked and buried near a tree...a chest is more secure than what I'm using now anyhow" Zachary seems somewhat offended at first but remembers his lifestyle is much different than hers.

Jesslyn smiled as he stated he would simply call her Jesslyn. But that smile was turned upside down when she felt him shiver. She blushed a little when he asked her what she had been examining. How do you tell someone you were enjoying the feeling of their laughter? Jesslyn averted her face and looked... well faced towards the buildings, "I... um." Jesslyn paused biting the inside of her cheek, "I was... observing." Jesslyn sought for other words but couldn't come up with an excuse, " I was observing... your... laugh?"

Jesslyn kept her face away from his as she didn't want him to see the slight blush that colored her face. Though she was pretty sure her face was already red so it wouldn't matter. But she could feel the heat and didn't want to take a chance. Jesslyn finally got her face to cool down when she realized he had described the places around them. "I'm going to take a leap and say we are in the Frostfawn Hold." Jesslyn frowned, "Though I don't smell animals. Or we could be on the outskirts of the Market." Jesslyn shrugged her shoulders, "Frostfawn is a little distance away from the Market but not too much."

Jesslyn gasped as she turned her head back to Zachary, "But... isn't their bears and other wild animals to look out for? Why... last week Sylvia was telling me of a wolf that had been spotted several times." Jesslyn shook her head when he shivered again. "Okay that's enough." Jesslyn pulled his arm to stop him from walking on.

"Hold this." Handing over her staff over to Zachary she unhooked her cloak before taking off her fur jacket, "Here." She held out the fur and quickly covered herself back in her silk cloak. "It will keep you for for the time being. I have my cloak to keep away the cold." Jesslyn gave a reassuring smile, "It might not be a tight fit as we are about the same height and well... I am female so our chests are about the same size."

A small blush creeped up but she ignored it. He was shivering and it was getting annoying because she kept getting glimpses of things around her more fuzzy than normal.
