Broel Frostfawn

Vantha
Nineteen years young
Male

Physical Description
In his homeland in the north Broel stands out above a crowd on merit of height alone. He is roughly six feet in height, tall for a human, but a giant for a Vantha! He is of a lean and muscular build, And holds a fair face physically pleasing pleasing to behold. Shoulder length straight Raven Black hair adorns his head. Broel's change with the color's of his mood. He has narrow eyes that seem always to be searching for trouble, as if he is expecting danger at every turn. He has a tan skin tone and a fair complexion.

Purple:
-Purple is Broel's most common eye color and it represents wondering and dreaming as he often does. When Broel's eyes are purple it means he is either thinking about something very intensely or thinking about nothing at all.

Red:
-Red eyes signify Broels anger and come out when someone or something dear to him is hurt or damaged. When in this mood Broel can't stand not to fight.

Orange:
-Orange is frustration or annoyance and mean that he is not yet angry, but perhaps he is not too far off, though still only a cautionary sign.

Green:
-Green eyes for Broel mean joy, when his eye color turns green it mean he is exceptionally ecstatic.

Pink:
-If Broel were to ever fall in love, his eyes would turn pink. But he fears love because his mother murdered his father, and abandoned him when he was very young leaving him in the care of his grandfather.

Silver:
-Broel's eyes turn silver when he is frightened, or fighting out of necessity.

Blue:
- Blue eyes mean sorrow, as are the color of his tears when he cry's. Broel's eyes may also turn and icy blue when he is worried.

Character Concept

Personality - Broel is at most times very silent, strong, and stoic, throwing up a mask for others to see. He is constantly worried about how his father would see him were he still alive. He cares not for how others think of him, only for his actual ability, and happiness. Though he is a man of many colors and when his emotions are provoked they may come off strong. When angry, his rage is immense, when sad, he is quiet and keeps to himself, not wanting to bother others with his problems, and not particularly wanting to hear of theirs either. Even when in a good mood. His fighting style is quick, to the point, and brutal. He fears love, and is distrusting of most people other than himself and his grandfather. He keeps a white wolf with him as a companion. Broel tends to keep most people at as safe a distance as possible from his personal emotions as he can. Broel doesn't like running from a fight, however he is intimidated by flailing pieces, or moving parts on weapons.

Ethics - Broel will not kill something weaker than him, regardless of conflicting idea's except in dire, or rare circumstances. Or to feed himself. Though he holds no qualms about injuring his opponents. He will not fight women and children, unless his life is severely threatened. Like most Vantha Broel places a strong importance on family, though unlike his kin, he only has two family members to care for. Freya, his white wolf companion and Agren Frostfawn his Grandfather.

Likes - Broel enjoys nature. He also enjoys caring for animals. He is infatuated with the rush he feels from casting Magic.
Dislikes - Broel Strongly dislikes Eypharians because of the haughty and pompous nature. Although it is not so much a hatred towards there race, and more a dislike of the personality trait. It extends past racial bounds.

Character History
Pre-Creation - Broel was Born to a fierce warrior named Kogahn and an animal tamer named Cyria, in the City of Avanthal. Kogahn did not want to put the risk upon his son, but the only magic he knew was Reimancy so, even knowing the burdens he would be placing upon the boy, Kogahn decided to instruct Broel, in the dangerous art. After the ceremony Broel did not even want to rest, he was so eager to begin his training, but Kogahn was wise, and held his son back, and so for three more long years they trained in both the arts of spear, and fire, until one dark, stormy night, when the young Broel wandered home after a hunt, the fresh corpse of a rabbit slung around his waist, only to find his father dead, and his mother missing. This day, was his eleventh birthday.
Living in Frostfawn hold just outside of Avanthal Broel made his living guiding travelers out on hunts around the area, and protecting them with his spear. But being a woods guide can only be interesting for so long, and tavern tales fill your head with nothing but drunken tales, tales of grandeur that if happened at all were grossly exaggerated. Broel wanted to get out into the world, and experience things for himself, he wanted to be able to tell his own stories.

Moderator Intervention
Greetings! I am Noblesse, the assistant storyteller of Avanthal. I noticed some points in your character sheet that don't quite fit the lore. You will have to correct them before you can continue playing as your PC. It would be much appreciated if you would stop posting into any other threads until the issues in your CS has been addressed. If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask!

  • Avatar: It's unfortunate, but the model for your picture has already been claimed by this player. You would have to change your model for a new one.
  • Race: If you're a Vantha, just say that you are. You do not have to add the word 'storyteller' after it.
  • Birthday: Please be sure to include your character's birthday here. You'll be needing a date, a season, and the year of birth. Please refer to the calendar here. :)
  • Appearance: Being Vantha, your hair will seem to shimmer with highlights. It's a quality that is seen in all Vanthas. Also, please decide whether you want to have darker or lighter complexion. Please keep in mind that the Vanthas tend to have deeper skin colors so pale skin are almost a no-no unless with justifiable reasons.
  • Character History: Most of the things that needs adjusting are found here. You seem to be confused with the lores of the Vantha and Avanthal. First of all, there are no Holds outside of Avanthal, and no other Holds exist besides those that are listed in the Vantha lore. Being a full Vantha, you are born into one of the seven Holds. You live in an arvinta with your family so you and your grandfather will not be homeless in this city. You also cannot join a Hold by any means other than marrying into it. Second, there are no battle chiefs in Avanthal, and the only position that comes close is the leader of the Icewatch, the city's very own military force. Another thing too: you cannot claim opening a tavern unless you had worked it out IC, and had asked permission from the DS of the city. Please review the Vantha lore page once more to get a better grasp of the race. :)
  • Skills: You seem to be confused as to how skills work here. You can only use 50 starting points and the 10 racial bonus in either storytelling or carving. Please review the Skill Guide once more before allotting points in your desired skills.
  • Lores: Please change 'Knowledge' to 'Lores'. Also, please choose only one between Migration patterns and Hunting patterns since having both would be too broad.
  • Possessions: You seem to have forgotten to add that you have food for a week included in your backpack in your starting package, so I suggest you add it to your possessions.
  • Housing: You don't live in a cottage if you're staying in Avanthal. Since you are going to be part of a Hold, you'll be living in an arvinta. Please change this accordingly. :)
  • Languages: Please don't forget to include your PC's list of spoken languages here!
  • Heirloom: You're missing your PC's heirloom. Each PC can start with an item found here in the Price list, provided that its worth is 50 GM or less.

After you have made the proper adjustments mentioned zbove, please PM me and I will gladly remove this intervention!
