![]() Daniel was on his second mug of beer for the night, the taste of the ale dancing in his mouth. He looked in his coin purse, and grimaced at how little he had left. He stared into the fire, lost in his troubles, mercenaries are not as in demand as they used to be. Shaking off his thoughts, he quickly drained his mug. The door opened with a soft thump. He always sat in the corner, so he could see when people came in, and people who would wish harm to him would have to approach him head on. He looked up, and saw it was a woman, looking to be in her twenties. She looked...off. She was not human. Granted, he did not know what race she was, but he was attuned to these kind of things, probably his bond’s instincts rubbing off on him. Hmm, what was she doing in a place like this? Nevermind. He hailed the bartender, quite a big man he was, but not fat, just muscular. He ordered another round, tossed a few coins at the bartender, and a fresh mug, frothing at the top, was set in front of him. He picked it up and nursed it, letting out a deep sigh. His beer was a quarter full when he was woken from his trance by jeering voices. Daniel looked up and saw a drunk man grabbing at the girl’s arm as she struggled to get away. He latched on to her and his hands were starting to wander where they should not. Daniel scoffed in disgust at this man’s behavior, drunk as he was. He calmly set down his mug and stood up, walking over to the man. He felt energy flow to his arms as he lunged forward, slamming his right fist home on the back of the man’s head, his other hand grabbing his belt. The man crumpled, his form going limp. The bartender looked angry, then saw what Daniel had done, and nodded, continuing to wipe the bar top. He walked, carrying the man to the door, and threw him out onto the street. He then returned to the woman and said, “It is dangerous to be around her without a companion. Tell me, what is your name miss?” |
OOCYou can change how you react to the man touching you, I did not really cover it well.
