Adventure!

Spring 513 AV, 63rd day

Sea sickness, what a horrible feeling, Ruza did everything she could not to regurgitate her food for her cat to eat. She wouldn't put it past Boyga to get excited over vomit, that cat ate the weirdest things, he was almost just like a small dog. What a way to start the day, Ruza sat pretty close to the docks, trying to gather herself so she could get started on the hunt for her brother. Ruza and her animal companions navigated themselves to the clearest area just far enough from the traffic of people coming and going, carrying heavy objects or what have you. Ruza thought it was best to take a quick break upon the sidelines before entering the city and figuring out where she should take her horse to be boarded for a few days while she is here.

There had been a chill in the air cause by the overcasting clouds, pregnant with rain and loud thunder can be heard off in the distance. Maybe Ruza will have the comfort of the rain pretty soon, although it might be a little cold to dance in the rain now. Before she could stop wondering if it was going to rain or not, a light drizzle delicately sprayed upon all those who were exposed. Some picked up the pace and began rushing about trying to escape the inevitability of getting wet. Ruza, instead of attempting to rush to the nearest dry spot, she removed her cloak, neatly folded it up, and placed it into her horse's inventory. Boyga sits on top of Tako unphased by the rain, instead began to clean himself furiously as the rain began to wet his fur.

"Thanks for holding this for me Tako!" she praised as she head bumps him affectionately. Tako returned her affections by rubbing his head against hers, with a smile she pulls away, patting him lightly on the nose before turning and raising her palms to the sky she allows the rain to fall upon her, watching as large drops forming in her palms before slapping her hands together with a serious look. "Great, now I'm wet." she said aloud to herself as she sighed. Her seasickness was better at least. "The healing nectar of the sky has once again cured me!" she proclaimed in a louder voice, raising her fist into the air with such enthusiastic energy "Ha-HA!" she proclaimed as she shook it lazily.

"Welp, time to get in there I suppose, gotta make money somehow!" she said cheerfully, clearly feeling better. She then began to calmly stroll into the town, getting more and more wet as she went, yet had not given a single thought to how she was going to dry off, where she was going to stay, or where she would start looking. Tako following close behind with a slightly agitated Boyga sitting atop his back. She wondered aimlessly into the town relying only on where her feet took her.

Adventure!

Postby Vladimir Balsam on April 17th, 2013, 8:25 am

Vladimir was wandering around the gates today. He wanted to go out of the gates and do some looking around, as long as he got some peace and quiet from being in the city. *sigh* sometimes the city was just too much for him. It was raining and he enjoyed the rain. It really mad him happy, the rain made him feel cleaning, and it refreshed him, something that he really needed on this kind of low feeling day. Vladimir was walking down a path when he stopped to view a woman that he had seen standing in the rain. She had a cat and a horse with her. Then she started dancing in the rain and thanking it. This person seemed really interesting. But isw she going to be afraid of me because of my race. Oh well it never hurts to find out. Vladimir started walking towards the girl as she started walking up the path.

Vladimir smiled at her, hiding his fangs, and said, "Hey are you new here? I could show you around in the city, after you get approved to come through by the guards."

...

Vladimir hoped that maybe this would be the start of a new friendship ...

"Hey are you new here? I could show you around in the city, after you get approved to come through by the guards."

A pale man approached her, seemingly friendly enough, Ruza returned his smile. "Yes, I'm new here." she replied briefly and began walking towards him. "Good morning by the way, my name is Ruza, Ruza Stormryder." she introduced herself, returning his friendly approach. Getting closer, she recognized his race, yet has never really got to know a person of this race before. All she knew is most of the time people were weary of them. Ruza didn't think this person before her was someone to be worried about, so she just smiled warmly at the friendly gentlemen before her.

"Maybe you can help me more than you think?" she asked as politely as she can make it sound. "I'm looking for a man who has eyes just like mine. Have you seen anyone like that?" she finished her question as she widened her eyes at him (O_O) showing him her two toned eyes. Tako nudged her gently with his nose, clearly annoyed by Boyga hitching a ride for so long. Before she can do anything, something catches his attention and he jumps down off of Tako and begins to play with some random piece of gravel. Her white shirt beginning to become see through in the rain. First her arm color could be seen clearly, then when her torso started, only her belly had shown. There seemed to be an extra layer of cloth over her chest. "Also, you wouldn't happen to know where I can keep my furry companions would you?" she asked again, asking as many questions as she can in her excitement being somewhere new.

"I may be able to help you, and no I have not seen anyone with eyes quite like yours. I have never seen eyes quite like yours before. And as for a place to keep your companions, the traveler's place where I am staying might let you although I am not really sure ..." Vladimir said to her. "How about we go to the gates and get you in and then we can go from there." He said with a smile.

((if you haven't yet you might want to post in the thread called the Nyka gates and let yourself through :) and then we can go from there :) ))

Ruza smiled, raindrops caressing her face on the way down to her chin where it dripped slowly. "I believe I have that all taken care of sir." she replied politely, nodding her head, strangely in agreement with herself. "So, my new friend, where would you suggest we go after dropping off my furry friends?" she finished, even though her first boat ride had seemingly sapped the energy from her, the rain had revived it. She felt rejuvenated, as if the many hours of being unable to sleep or eat properly had just wore her down to a blissful delirium.

[i]"Well let's get going then!"
Vladimir said, probably more excitedly than he should have, but truth was he was happy to meet someone who didn't always shy away from him or think of him as this evil person.

Vladimir started walking with her towards the Traveler's Row and then walked her inside and he sat down at a table in the main room while he waited for her to get her apartment key and instructions.

Vladimir sits at the table and awaits for the woman to come back.

Adventure!

Ruza takes her cat and horse with her as she goes to speak with someone who can help her out with a room. After going over her funds in her head she noticed that she would have to stay in this place for at least the whole of next season. Sighing to herself as she had not intended in such a set back she shrugged it off and gave the keeper 12 GM for her stay for the whole of next season. Taking her animals and a few other things and placing them accordingly. She returned shortly to the man who escorted her here, this man had a haunting presence, he was almost unreal.

Approaching him again with a lot less bulk, besides a few things hidden in the folds of her cloak. "Thank you for your help," Ruza began, the man before her was unlike any other people she had met before. She seemed to feel a bit more comfort in the fact that he was not exactly 'normal' just like she was. "Is there anything important that I absolutely need to know before I continue life here?" she finished, she felt like her chest was tightening up. As if in an instant her calm confidence shrank away. Feeling like her body was bleeding out from her center.

Looking down for a moment, trying to muster up some courage after losing her confidence as soon as she realized she was just freely talking to a complete stranger. Ruza felt like a completely different person, it was harder for her to interact or even look directly at anybody. "Not now" she groaned silently in thought. Trying to look casual, she looks around trying to play like nothing happened, also avoiding eye contact with everyone. Raindrops falling upon her head, gently tickling her as it caressed its way down her face, hair begging to flatten under the constantly growing amount of rain.
