[The Blood Pits] A bloody debut

4th Night of Spring 513 A.V

Sorin was ready for the inevitable. It had been a long time before he could amount skills in his human form after he learned his transformation. So now he would prove his mettle in the arena where everyone could see him. But this wasn't just for fainthearted. The fights here in the Blood Pits were to the death. There was no mercy. There were no rules. Just the way Sorin wanted it. Nobody needed to know he inherently had an advantage being much stronger then most humans.

Especially when they could not hope to match him in his Dhani form. But he would try not to revert to that. He needed to draw the attention to his prowess in his human form. That he would do with the huge dangerous Flamberge in his hands. The wavy blade was menacing to any one when you first encounter it.

The man opposite of him was not. It seemed fear had clung to his heart long ago and it no longer fazed him. Sporting some sort of mail armor, and with a determined expression on his face as he sized Sinissorin up even though Sorin stood at an impressive 6'7 and the man looked like he was barely 5'9. Sorin had on studded armor, if had to change shape he needed something that he could take off quickly. As it was quite painful to shape-shift while in armor.

The man unsheathed his sword and was ready for the fight despite Sorin's more intimidating appearance. The Pit Bull stood near them ready to get the fight underway. Time was money. In which Sorin had money riding on this fight as well. He had put up 100 GM. A nice amount and he wouldn't miss if he lost.

"Fighters ready!" The Pit Bulls booming voice overshadowed the cries of the audience. An audience Sorin was now aware of again. He had been so caught up in the moment he had forgotten the live audience. Eager for both to shed blood on the already blood stained arena.

He held on tight to his blade in deadly concentration. Then he heard the Bull say, "Begin!"

Vicious. That was the immediate thought he had as he charged forward with a loud hiss like yell. The man opposite of him who's name he didn't bother to catch was also closing the distance with his longsword. They swung at the same time. The blades sparked and the man was taken aback by Sorin's strength at first. His large blade didn't stop there as Sorin pressed the attack. With careful swings towards his abdomen.

It was easy to dodge a weapon such as the one he had when aimed directly for the head. But when you forced the opponent to have to guard his body, his strength would eventually wear him out. The man however put up a valiant effort and was quick on his feet. He danced around the slow like movements of Sinissorin's flamberge.

Sorin assumed this would have been an easy victory but he was mistaken. Despite his strength he should never underestimate an opponent. The man found himself an opening after Sorin made a precise vertical slash. He swung his blade at the Dhani's chest. Sorin reacted just in time as the blade clipped through the studded armor and almost to his chest.

He jumped back and the crowd roared its approval. The man sneered as he thought he had the upperhand. "All that upper body strength for no reason. I will cut you to shreds!" He said.

Sorin's face broke into a scowl. He would not be bested by a human. Especially a tiny one at that. He held the sword with one hand and taunted the other saying, "Cut me to shreds? I will enjoy feasting on your blood tonight." It may have sounded like an idle threat, but Sorin was not kidding. He really was going to eat this man after he killed him.

The man didn't take kindly to threats. Neither did Sorin, and they resumed their fight to the death. Clashing blades into a deadlock, they peered deep into each others eyes as they feasted on the moment of battle and blood.
