Kyra stared curiously at the woman who seemed reluctant to answer her question. It was an odd name to begin with and the way she spoke it made it seem like something common. As if it were something that many people understood and could join together in the humor of it all. But she didn't answer and Kyra could only blink twice before the conversation moved on.

A blind Jamoura?...I suppose it must be something personal to her. Fair enough."

The woman had asked for help with her bow and Kyra had agree and a bit too quickly at that. The young kelvic had no knowledge of the proper way of teaching others and had always relied on her own skills and instincts to learn for herself. The only thing that she could think of was to help the woman to see things the way she did, to feel her instincts and trust them.

Hypnotism was still very new to her and it's uses a mystery that she looked to solve. However she had attempted it before and while it hadn't worked to her liking, she was willing to give it another try. This time with someone who wasn't unwilling to listen to her words and except them as truth. Kyra moved closer to the woman and stood just at her side, she took a deep breath, calmed herself and released the flow of djed from within her.

The pooling flow of energy moved over her and she concentrated on directing it into her eyes, mouth, and hands. Once she felt ready to try, she lifted one of her hands to dainty adjust the woman's elbow, and used her other hand to slid over the one holding the bow and lift it up a bit. Kyra leaned closer to where their bodies touched, and for the moment she could share the woman's warmth.

"Just relax, you are calm, your form is fine...you are doing fine. Forget the others, forget the range. It is just you and the target. Your bow is weightless and your arrow is on point. Can you feel it? There is no pressure, just your will to be stronger." Again she gently hugged the woman's hand and helped her to pull the arrow back into the string tighter. "Feel your instincts, feel the air around you..you are ready. Now fire.."

Aim High (Hadyn)

Postby Hadyn Skellig on April 17th, 2013, 4:59 pm

And there it was. Advice from an expert. Hadyn couldn't help but frown, though she played it off as concentration. Trusting her instincts was not one of the woman's prominent skills. All the same, she listened to the girl and followed her instructions as best she could. Forget the others? no problem. Weightless bow, not so much but she tried. With a slow sigh, she released the arrow, daring herself to keep her eyes open.

It landed several inches shy of the target. Not bad! She turned to her teacher with a broad smile, lowering the bow. She couldn't help feeling the part of the proud child. Her archery skills were normally abysmal.

"Y'ought to charge for your lessons," she quipped with a grin. "Sure 'n that's the best I've done in a long time. Usually I hit a few fellow archers before I'm warmed up enough to make the target."

Looking back to the target, the blacksmith grinned. It wasn't by any means exceptional but it was pretty damn good for her first shot. Glancing back to the blonde, Hadyn extended the hand not holding the bow.

"Hadyn. And thank you."

Aim High (Hadyn)

Postby Kyra on April 21st, 2013, 1:34 am

Kyra was mildly excited to see that Hadyn pulled off a shot on her first try for the day. Perhaps her hypnotic powers were actually starting to work, that or she was a better teacher than she had given herself credit for. There was also the possibility that Hadyn was a better shot than what even she knew, but either way progress was progress. But something else had happened, during the time before when she was practicing alone, until the time now as she helped Hadyn with her own aim.

The young kelvic had become restless, her mood shifting much like the clouds, and even when day turned to dusk. She wanted excitement now, needed to stimulate her senses and her imagination. She still remembered that tall man that had stood behind her. It was hard not too for the girl, the man smelled and even now his scent was still present and very alive.

A thought crossed her mind, and Kyra couldn't help but to curved her lips into a mischievous smile as the possible results flowed through her mind. If she had been right about her hypnotic powers, then she wondered if she could possibly do it again, but for a more sinister reason. Again she calm her thoughts and focused the djed in her body, pulling the energy, the magic of her being into her eyes, mouth, and even her hands. She moved a bit closer to Hadyn, her hand lifting and touching the woman's shoulder.

"You have done very well. That was a very good shot, you have..natural talent. Let's try again shall we, but...perhaps around target?" she quickly moved to the woman's side then, and spinning her to turn along with her so that they both faced in the direction there the tall bowman was standing a few meters away. "Just look at him, he is a smug one isn't he? He was so rude to us, to you..I think he deserves a lesson. What do you think? An arrow in his backside might do the trick, yes?"

Aim High (Hadyn)

Postby Hadyn Skellig on April 21st, 2013, 5:05 pm

Pride surged in her breast when the girl praised her. It was silly and juvenile but it was a pleasant feeling, approbation. An eyebrow rose when she suggested a new target, following her gaze to the impertinent idiot who so recently quitted their company. The girl was trying to bait Hadyn into firing an arrow into his backside, cajoling her with the memory of his arrogance. The woman looked to her new companion with a smirk.

"He could sure do with an arrow to t'arse,"
she agreed with a smile. "But best make it look like a mistake, cha? Don't need him thinkin' we did it purposefully."

She winked at the blonde before turning away, adopting a bowman's stance, her aim somewhat centered on the bullseye beyond. But her position was horribly off, body torqued to line up with a target. Pulling an arrow and setting it to the bow, she glanced at her girl with a grin.

"Right, let's see how it goes."

Hadyn prepared to fire, pulling her arm back and squinting her eyes. At the very last moment, her torso whipped to the side as the arrow released, sending the weapon speeding into the man's upper thigh, just below the buttock. The yelp he released echoed across the field as he convulsed in response. Hadyn's face fell, horror griping her expression.

"Oh shyke!" She yelled convincingly, with an overly dramatic wide eyed glance to the blonde.

Kyra's golden eyes widen in surprised and excitement at Hadyn's words. The young kelvic hadn't expected the woman to agree so easily. It appeared that she must have been more angry at the man's actions than she thought. Not only that, but Hadyn even had her own idea, her own twist to add into their plot. This interested Kyra even more, she hadn't realized that there was someone roaming the streets of Syliras who was as mischievous as she.

"Oh..I do like that idea. Accidents happen all the time after all."

She giggled softly at Hadyn's wink, her pale cheeks growing red and she felt a tingle rush up her spine that caused her to shiver slightly. It was an exciting moment. One that would caused bated breath and hearts to skip a beat. Kyra wanted to know, was the woman really going to fire an arrow into the man?

Kyra watched at Hadyn pretended to face and aim for the targets, only to whip around at the last moment and fire an arrow into the back of the man's thigh. There was a loud cry of pain that echoed across the yard and Kyra was more than pleased. But she couldn't show this, not now with so many people looking on. Glancing to Hadyn, she saw the look on the woman's face and quickly mimicked her expression.

"Oh..oh my.." she replied in the most innocent voice that she could muster. There were many things that could be said about humans, and while she might not agree with them all, one thing that she had to admit...humans were so very interesting..

Aim High (Hadyn)

Postby Hadyn Skellig on April 24th, 2013, 3:44 am

"You shortsighted idiot!" the man hollered, his face crimson as he reached behind him and gingerly touched the arrow. It wasn't exactly a fatal blow, the blade of the arrow more suited for game than murder. Indeed its purpose was to stun prey, not end the poor creature's life. Despite this fact, evidenced by the shallow entry wound, the chap was inconsolable, screaming and whining all at once. Hadyn flashed the blonde a quick glance, a gleam in her eye though her countenance was remorseful and abashed.

"I'm sure sorry," she soothed the injured, walking toward him with a hesitant hand raised before her. "I have such terrible aim. An', well, I guess I was distracted an'... goodness. Bet you're regrettin' your decision to practice t'day?"

Her tone was light, as if to encourage him to shrug it off. But he was less inclined. He gesticulated wildly, pointing emphatically at the arrow as he berated her skill and cursed her aim. Hadyn nodded knowingly, agreeing with the man's accusations and statements before stopping a few feet from him.

"Y'couldn't be more right," she conceded. "What can I do to ease your sufferin'?"

"If you don't get this petchin' arrow outta me leg I'll have you arrested," the man seethed, turning to the side so she might get a better view. With a quick and almost devious grin, the woman grabbed hold of the arrow's shaft, but not before the man's eyes grew wide and he raised his arm to shoo her away. "No not like tha-Eeeooooch!"

Hadyn yanked the arrow solidly out, exposing the very tiny arrowhead that had been embedded in the man's thigh. Truthfully it was no more than a large splinter but he clamped his hand on the bleeding muscle, with a ferocious scowl.

Aim High (Hadyn)

It was hard for the kelvic to keep herself from smiling or giggling as the man howled and limped about, while trying to reach for the arrow buried in his thigh. Kyra glanced around for a moment as more people started to notice his shouting. Luckily no one seemed to have witnessed what Hadyn had done and so no one looked to them and instead only focused on the man making a show of himself.

Kyra followed her partner in crime over towards the man as they went to sooth him, or poke more fun, either way, they would be there for him. She watched as Hadyn continued to tease the man and he in turn, continued to yell at her for shooting him. There were people chucking to themselves and watching the display. Others had already waved the accident off and went back to whatever they were doing before.

"My..he is very upset. The poor man must be in a lot of pain."

She commented gleefully. Then the man demanded something from Hadyn, and before he could retract his words, she reached down and snatched the arrow from his leg. His scream was loud, and somewhat feminine as well. This time she couldn't stop the smile from rising upon her lips, it was all too much fun.

She thought to try and hypnotize him, but she was already tired from the earlier use and decided against it. Instead she moved around to where the man could see her clearly and smiled kindly towards him. "It was a mistake I promise.

There's no need to get her arrested."
Kyra looked down to where his hand had moved and noticed a tremble in his limb. "You should have someone look at that, you wouldn't want to get an infection..you could lose your leg if that happens."

Aim High (Hadyn)

Postby Hadyn Skellig on May 3rd, 2013, 8:18 pm

Arrested? Petch. Hadyn hadn't considered that particular outcome when she so brazenly shot an arrow into the man's arse. It seemed he too was now considering the option since the blonde remarked upon it. The blacksmith threw her counterpart a quick frown, silently hoping she wouldn't linger on the topic. But instead her new-found friend was advising him to have the injury looked at. Great.

"Ah nah," Hadyn replied loudly, scooting herself closer to the man and further asserting distance between him and the blonde. "A lil' tick mark like that'll need nothin' more than a bandage and a good mug o' ale. Infection's not a problem at all."

Her tone was convincing and her manner embellished, commanding a sense of propriety despite being truly unsure what the best medical course of action might be. She was overly friendly with him, placing a hand on his upper arm as she quickly glanced at the injury. Flashing him a brilliant smile, the woman gently encouraged him to turn from the archery field.

"Nothin' like a mug of the Stallion's finest to set y'right. Tomorrow this'll be nothin' more than an afterthought. I'll even be happy to start you out." Removing her hand from him, she reached into her coin purse to procure a silver piece. Pressing it firmly into the pathetic man's hand, she adopted a sympathetic visage.

"Sure 'n that'll take care o' any problems, eh?"

Hadyn wasn't the best at convincing folk but thus far she'd managed fairly. The man glared at her before casting a glance at Kyra. With an exaggerated sigh he pocketed the coin and nodded his acquiesce. The brunette smiled broadly, now looking at the blonde.

"Methinks I need a few more lessons afore I go out on my own, hm?"

Aim High (Hadyn)

Kyra wasn't sure what Hadyn was up too, and it took her a bit of time to finally catch on. She wasn't good with persuading others really, nor was she talented in tricking people or lying for that matter. And so she fell silent and watched as one of the most interesting people she'd met in Syliras went to work on the man.

She nodded her head and smiled to whatever the woman was trying to get the man to believe or understand and hoped that it would help. The young kelvic learned something as she watched Hadyn and committed the woman's actions to her memory in case she found herself in a similar situation later on.

Perhaps Hadyn was very convincing, or maybe it was because of the combined beauty of the two young women or even the miza that Hadyn gave him, either way the man took off and they were left to continue on without any problems.

"Yes, I believe we should have plenty of time to practice now." she replied and headed back towards the range. It was still empty, most likely because no one else wanted to get shot. Kyra turned to Hadyn and waited for her to get ready again. "Alright you're first. I'm sure you remember what to do. Just imagine that the target is a drunkards bum."

Aim High (Hadyn)

Postby Hadyn Skellig on May 9th, 2013, 2:12 am

Thanks be to Ovek the blonde was quick to catch on to Hadyn's ploy. Relief touched her expression briefly but faded as she steered the man away, a wide grin on her lips. Seeing him off, the woman watched until his limping form disappeared before she turned back to her companion, following her back to the range. But the lingering concern that he might report her to a guard was nagging her, making it difficult to focus on the resumed task. Rubbing the back of her neck uneasily, Hadyn watched the blonde prepare for another lesson.

"Ah well," she paused, glancing again to where the man departed. "Probably best if I shove off. No need to wait at the scene of the crime, eh?"

Picking up her items she turned to the girl with a grin. Holding her hand out, the blacksmith offered a small smile, her brown eyes catching the girl's with earnestness.

"Apologies for my rush to leave. But he may decide a mug of ale's not worth bein' stabbed in the arse. Wouldn't wish you to befall any trouble should he complain to a guard. Thank you for the lesson in aim. I'll remember it. I'm Hadyn, by t'way."
