82nd of Spring, 513AV
Jesslyn was asleep. She had been most of the day. It was already past midday but the blind Vantha had failed to wake-up. Her nights towards the end of Spring usually were longer and not in the sense of the season but her life. Everything seemed to weight the girl down. Her long hair becoming a light weight compared to her thoughts.
As the city ran its course and her neighbors continued their daily lives Jesslyn slumbered a restless slumber. Lately she had taken to simply sitting in her single chair and starring blankly at a wall, not that she could see, until she had to get up. Which included small meals, bathroom, or sleeping. And sleeping took the most time.
But Jesslyn didn't mind. Because that mean't she didn't have to think about what was going on around her. Though it was always a challenge to get to sleep to start with. This occasion was an easier and an easier first. Not too many night would she get a good night's sleep or anything close to it.
Jesslyn turned to the other side and curled more into herself. Her blanket at long been kicked off of her body even though her home was barley warm enough to not let her breath be seen. Jesslyn didn't sleep with anything other than her undergarments and her family wondered how she still was able to fight off sickness. It was unbelievable what the blind Vantha went through on a day to day basis.
A couple friends walked up to door at different times. They would stand there raise their hands to knock but always stopped. If Jesslyn was awake she wouldn't forgive them. Right now she was being stubborn but she was lost. She wanted... no needed someone to just rush in and drag her out.
But even though her friends and family all were worried as to why the blind Vantha hadn't shown her face in almost weeks, no one said anything. No one knocked, no one looked in the window. To Jesslyn, it was almost as if they didn't know she even had stopped living. That she even was alive in the first place.
A couple who couldn't seem to keep their hands off each other banged against Jesslyn door. Slowly being her to the surface. Grumbling under her breathe Jesslyn opened an eye. Rubbing the same eye with the heel of her hand Jesslyn raised up. Turning to she could get off the bed Jesslyn shuffled her feet.
Forgetting about her state of clothing and dragging herself to her door Jesslyn found the vibration of two separate people. But they were so... close that it was hard not to mistake it for a single mutant person. Opening the door one of the blurs almost fell back if it wasn't for the others help.
The air was awkward for a couple chimes before the giggling of a girl started. Jesslyn narrowed her eyes at the blurs. Jesslyn started to close the door when she caught a comment, "Did you see that! That's supposed to be Jesslyn. I heard her love interest just simply disappeared. Must have the poor girl in a state of depression." Jesslyn paused for a moment before slamming the door.
