The bandit's journal told Des of their target, merchants carrying Vanthian etched jewelry. Des travelled to the Bazaar. The Bazaar lined with stalls and people coming and going about their business. Des walk around the Bazaar counting the accessories stalls with Vanthian etched jewelry. In the entire Bazaar he counted three stalls with Vanthian etched jewelry. To pinpoint the bandit's employer he pretends to shop at the first stall. Looking through the stall owners wears the stall owner asks Des if he's looking for anything specific?
