The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

Lyall would have laughed if it hadn't been for the girl's shamed expression. Hoping to lift her spirits, he ate the dried strip of meat she'd given to him hastily. There was nothing wrong with it, it even tasted well enough, but it was very dry, nothing like a fresh kill with its blood, still warm, rushing into your mouth with each bite, wetting your throat and warming your insides.

His lips parted at the thought, and his eyes landed on Celeste, who's back was turned as she crouched before the water's edge, scrubbing at her face as well as she could. He had been hoping to ask her to hunt, however when she turned back to him her mouth was set in a twisted line, and she remained crouched where she was. Her quiet apology tore at him painfully, and without further hesitation, he joined her at the water, crouching beside her.

"Don't look so ashamed of yourself, you have no reason to be... Celeste-" He used her name carefully, still unfamiliar with it, "you gave me food when you barely had enough for yourself, that was kind. Hunt with me and let me return the favor." Falling silent, Lyall waited for her response, all the while staring intently at her face through the curtains of blonde hair surrounding it, and hoping for some positive reaction.

That dang heart of hers started pounding again. Her body was terrified, even though her mind knew she had no reason to be. Getting frustrated with herself, she closed her eyes slowly and took a few deep breaths to calm herself. Once her body had finally calmed down, she opened her eyes again and looked up into Lyall's ocean-deep ones.

Smiling at the offer, her body reacted in a way that her true form's would have. Her eyes brightened, her ears WOULD have perked forward, though she felt the muscles trying, her human ears couldn't do such a thing. She felt a pleasurable warming near her diaphragm, and she knew her ocelot would have started purring right now.

Instinctively she shifted, and ran in a big circle around the pond, paws padding and wind pushing against her smooth face. She always did something similar to this, either jumping, running or climbing a tree. Something to remind herself of how her body SHOULD move.. especially if she had been in her human form for too long. Trotting back up to Lyall, she looked up at him, green eyes shining and purring, just like she would have earlier. She curled up around his feet again and pushed her face against him, glad that she had found someone who wasn't out to get her, or hurt her. In fact, he wanted to help her... maybe even befriend her!

Lyall did laugh this time, as he watched the little wild cat dash off in excitement. He supposed this was as much invitation as he was going to get, and stepped quickly out of his clothes, dropping them in a haphazard pile beside his pack before shifting. Wasting no time, he bolted after her, a low growl escaping him as he re-kindled the pain in his chest.

With the heightened senses of his feline form returned to him, it was as if a blindfold had been lifted from his eyes. He always reveled in the feeling of awareness after spending any length of time in his human skin. It was true that each side was a part of him, but you didn't need to be socially aware, or even literate to survive in this animal world that he lived in, and when he looked human, people always expected him to act the part as well.

His eyes scanned his surroundings, and he breathed in the scent of the forest, slowing his pace when he reached Celete's side. He stared at her intently for a moment before coming to a halt. They wouldn't catch much if they crashed through the forest scaring away all potential prey. He would find a hidden place in the undergrowth and wait until something unsuspecting crossed his path. They would no doubt have different hunting styles, but he would meet up with her again at their tree if she wanted to branch away from where he now hid.
