Summer, 6th, year 513

The doors of the shop creaked open as Ronan stepped from the cold outside to warmth of the shop. Throwing off the hood of his outfit, he quickly ran his fingers through his hair, trying to get any snow that might have gotten stuck out of it. He had been here once before, apparently a little too early. He had been looking for, according to the contract, a man named Nikomas, but the owner had explained that he was on holiday. A holiday, really? Silly Avanthalians and their strange customs. So Ronan had returned today, four days after his first visit, hoping to find Nikomas in today.

Just outside, Horse was standing in the snow, patiently waiting for his master to return. The cart behind him carried all the remaining goods Ronan had left after a season of trading with the Avanthalians. Spread out over the different hidden pockets in his outfit, his purse and a hidden compartment under the driver seat, Ronan's Mizas were kept for safely away from prying eyes. As there wasn't really much to look at in the store itself, Ronan made his way right over to the only person in the room. The Avanthalian woman had introduced herself as Laria, the owner of the shop, last time they had met. "Excuse me? Has Nikomas returned from his... Holiday?" Ronan couldn't help the tone in his voice. Some people were just better off then others. Holidays...

In his youthful enthusiasm, Ronan had traveled all the way from Syliras to the high north in order to do business. Had he been wrong. There was no business in Avanthal. Besides selling food or metal, he hadn't really found any good business deals. But he could have stayed home and made the same deals, without losing the time and money on his stay in Avanthal. As he waited for Nikomas, Ronan let out a slight sigh. Sure, Avanthal had provided him with some interesting events and he had met interesting people here, but still... It hadn't been the ultimate Miza vein he had hoped it to be. He turned from the counter and stood in the middle of the room and rubbed his hands together, trying to warm them up, waiting.
