Ava Felldancer Appearance Race: Drykas Gender: Female Age: 17 Birthday: 82, Spring, 496 Birthplace: Endrykas Clan: Ruby Pavilion: Felldancer Appearance: Ava is a slender, wiry young woman who is fairly tall standing a few inches under six feet in height. Her hair is pale blonde, stick straight, and baby fine which makes it impossible to do anything with except restrain the hip length mass in braids or ties. Even then strands tend to escape confinement and get into her pale green eyes. Her features are sharp, angular with pale eyebrows, aqualine nose, and a narrow jawline. Her skin is pale and burns easily so she typically has a lopsided, straw sun hat to protect from the sun. With enough care she will tan, but only lightly. She is quick on her feet and flexible. Her hands are long fingered, dexterous, and stronger than one would think from a lifetime of spinning and weaving. Her windmarks, stylized after a traditional weaving pattern, wrap anond her wrists and across the back of her hands. Character Concept Ava is a quiet, intense, and intelligent young woman with a love of patterns, colors, and shapes. She is not quick to trust or give her loyalty to anyone that isn't family. However, when she does she can be loyal to a fault. She is devoted to her family and the Drykas. She is feeling torn of late with the recent pressure to marry and reproduce. She wants to dedicate herself to the spinning and weaving of thread and djed and fears that marrying would interfere with her dream of becoming a master weaver. Character History Ava's life was fairly stable and predictable, as far as a nomad's life can be at least. The Felldancer pavilion was never a large one, consisting of her grandfather,the Ankal, and his wife; her parents; then her and her older half sister Lira. When Ava was six her mother went out foraging for dyeing materials and never returned. Ava's grandfather, Kytar, took over the responsibility of continuing to develop Ava's talent for spinning and weaving. It was the Ankal that noticed Ava also had the potential to spin the djed as well as fiber and took it upon himself to train her as at that point he had no grandsons. About two years after her mother's death Ava was approached by Orsino, a blue dun strider colt that bonded to Ava. Ava's training of Orsino has been a bit haphazard due to her other responsibilities. As a result Orsino isn't as well behaved as he should be and Ava's riding skills are not good enough to always control the headstrong stallion. This pairing has lead to some interesting situations from time to time! Lira married and moved to her husband's pavilion and shortly after Ava's father, Marik, remarried for the third time. The new wife bore Marik another daughter and was pregnant again when the recent pox decimated the Drykas. When it was all over it was only Ava and her father that survived. Marik, following the spring decree that all men shall have at least two wives, has remarried. Letta is the first wife and Drykas. The second wife is a red haired foreigner named Chava.
