The westernmost tip of Kalea, Wind Reach is home to an amazing group of people and their giant eagle mounts. [Lore]

Arriving to the gates his overall composure was atrocious. He was hunched over, making himself nearly as short as his father. The day's sunlight struck hard on his back as he entered the vast courtyards of Wind Reach.
"How... absolutely magnificent!" He exclaimed to himself, a slight smile breaching his cold lips, as he glanced around admiring the architectural achievements of the city.
Isurians weren't known for their compliments, nor an outgoing nature. Soon, though, he was sure that he would have to adapt his mood and overall personality to the lifestyle and culture of the natives to enable himself to make friends. Hoping to find enjoyment and something more that he knew was out there in Mizahar just waiting for him to grasp, he strode through the courtyard with new found vigor. He glanced at the crowd around him, Inartans being the majority, he sat unconvinced that he wouldn't be able to make new friends.
Glancing around the crowd he watched the beautiful redheaded population communicate joyfully with each other. It may have been a crowd, but it was a small one. Wind Reach doesn't have a very large population, and due to the dangerous journey to get here they don't have many visitors either, which made him stand out. He watched as strangers passed him, giving him strange looks as if he didn't belong. He stood as a figure bolted out of one of the massive tunnels that lead to the courtyard, the figure was rather frantic in its movements. Thinking for only a moment he came to the conclusion that only one being would be so frantic in Wind Reach, the Valintar. Smiling with great joy, he stood and made his way to the Valintar. |

The figure which appeared from one of the various warrens that wove in and out of the city was not, in fact, the Valintar, but one of the many drudges that worked ceaselessly each day and often each night to help keep the volcanic-city running. His face and hair were a mess, dirty and clotted and scratched. His clothes were worn out and smelled of soot and sulfur, suggesting the figure had been somewhere especially dirty. He was also being chased by three Yasi, each around the age of fourteen and all with the somewhat doltish look of ones destined for nothing higher than Chiet, assuming they lived to see placement.
The Dek they were chasing tripped some yards ahead of the Isur who had just arrived, landing flat on his face with a yelp as the three Yasi hurtled in, pelting clumps of what looked like bird shyke at him and cackling like hyenas. Around the new arrival, Inartans swerved, avoiding the confrontation for the most part. Nobody was really being hurt, no law needed be enforced; it was a Dek probably getting what he deserved for doing something he shouldn't have been doing. But the inhumanity of the scene remained. Wind Reach was a tough place to live and only the toughest would survive.
Nearby, a group of four were chatting among themselves, sparing a glance towards the scene of the Dek and Yasi but nothing more. So long as the youth did not escalate the abuse too far, nothing would be done. The stranger with his strange arm, however, had already earned himself several disdainful looks, many of which came from the group of four, low mutterings of 'foreigner this' and 'foreigner that' spoken in the bird-like trill of Nari.
