The Syliras Theater Square Welcome to the Syliras theater. The place for theater arts and entertainment in the city of peace. The grand two story structure was built back when the main residential areas were built and was placed in between them connecting the Jordon, Maiden, Illythian, and Roshin. This was done to create a way for people to enter from all sides and exit as well given the amount of people pouring through the city each day. There is a long staircase on opposite sides of the building leading from the upper floor down to the base. There is also an open ceiling to allow Lyna's light to shine through during the day, and Leth's glow to illuminate the courtyard at night. There are small rooms situated on both floors, some used to house props and costumes, as well as others with enough room to cook meals should the occasion arise for a feast to be held. On the ground floor there is a very spacious area were people can act, and show off other marvels of busking while the people could easily see them from the floor and above. The theater was closed after the destruction of the djed storm. Much of the courtyard was destroyed and even a few of the path ways that led out into the other parts of the city were blocked off for some time. By Summer 513, the theater was fully repaired, and the entry ways open for people to once again come and go as they pleased. Slowly buskers and the like started to return to put on shows, as well as some merchants setting up shop to sell a few items to people while they enjoy the shows. In the past, the theater has also been used for public executions, but if this will continue now that it is reopened is yet to be seen. Note: All buskers and entertainers are employed by the knighthood to entertain the people. This is not a place for PCs or NPCs to beg for coin. There were also members of her family that were singers, dancers, and played musical instruments. So it came to pass that Amelia would also take in this trade as she seemed a natural with the flute. But there was another gift that Amelia had that she liked to share and that was story telling. During her early years she had plenty to speak about, but after a time, she sought more, and wanted to see more of the world to add to her already long list of tales. She set out when she was old enough and traveled the lands in search of her next great story. She ended up going to Syliras where she met and fell in love with a sailor. They married after a year or so after, and Amelia put her busking skills to work in the local taverns. Soon enough they were adding to their family with two sons, twins, though not identical. The boys grew up, and were close to their father, but decided to join their mother in the business of Busking after hearing of her many tales and adventures. Once Amelia thought that she had an act big enough to take enter stage, she and her sons started doing shows at the theater and still do so. Binger and Alhon are two very different personalities, but they like to pretend to be the other and to see who can draw the more laughs from the crowds. They were born in Syliras and spent their lives listening to their mother's stories and wondering what it was like to live as she did. Well now they look to create their own tales, and after finding a love for entertaining people from their mothers, the theater has become their home.
