summer 26th It was early, but already there was a crowd of people in the bubbling pot. Waiting for their breakfast. Serky just kept an easy smile on his face as he accepted some rations from a customer and walked back to his working space. He carefully put them on his table and gave a look over at what he had. Some onions, eggs, bacon and some lettuce. He didn't need to think long about what he was going to cook from this. An omelette was easy enough for even him to make without a fuz. He took a pan and put it on the stove, plopping a bit of butter in the pan as he cut the bacon in smaller strips. Not really caring much about them being uniform in size. He was more concerned with not cutting in his finger with that very sharp knife he was using. Eventually He got the bacon cut into smaller bits without cutting his own fingers. he dropped the bacon in the pan. Gave it a few shackes so that it was slightly spread out over the pan and not clumped together. He then pulled out a mug and gathered the eggs. He cracked the egg against the mug and tried to drop the yolk and eggwhite in it without getting any eggshell in there or spilling it. It was harder then it looked. "Petch." Seryk muttered under his breath as he dropped half an eggshell in the mug. Reaching into the yolk to get it out. After all the eggs had mostly gone into the mug he used a fork co mix them together. Trying to create a mostly even mixture. "Oi newbie." Seryk looked up from his work as another cook called out to him. "take that pan of the fire or it's going to burn. can't you smell it?" Seryk looked towards the cook working next to him, who handn't even looked away from his own stuff and then to his pan. "Shyke!" Serky cursed as he saw the bacon was already done, he quickly pulled the pan off the fire. This wasn't good, usually the bacon was backed into the omelet. But if he tried that now he would burn it. No other choice then to just keep them apart. He put the bacon on a plate and began chopping up the onion into small pieces. The pan was still greased enough from the butter for him to bake the omelet in it. When he finished he dumped the onions in the pan and let them sudder for a bit as eh continued mixing the yolk and eggwhite in the mug he had. This time keeping an eye on the backing onions. |
