~She has been through much in her young life, Alori, as I am sure you have as well.~ And then, the eagle was silent, tucking her head and closing her eyes to rest for a time while the girls talked and kept themselves warm.
Vira, meanwhile, looked to Alori with raised brows. "She?" Referring to the remark about having a mentor after a while but otherwise having flown solo. While her friend replied, the teen began ringing out her clothes, using the heat from the fire to melt the ice that had built up. There wasn't much they could do until the fire built up, but once it was some of the meat could be cooked and ate. It was cold and the eaves of the cave were starting to thicken in the amount of ice that hung from them.
And as the bells went on, it was only going to get colder, the temperature plummeting until the wind that pushed into the cave made even Mohya shiver and tuck her head a little more. She would even cluck the girls to nestle against her to stay warm while the fire crackled. And on the rain fell, steady. Sometimes it fell quickly, sometimes it fell slow, but fell it did bitter and biting, all night long. Vira tried to keep up conversation when she wasn't shivering, wanting to ask why it was that Alori felt so much warmer (was she sick?) when they weren't near the fire; yet, she did not want to offend the other now after they had finally calmed enough from the exhausting day to settle in and see through to the night.
As midnight began to near, Vira was starting to drift, but a jolt of wary fear kept her from fully falling asleep as she looked towards the other huntress. "Alori?" She summoned in a soft whisper. "Are you awake?"
