"Alori... Good, strong name. Suits you I think." he nodded at her question, "And yeah that will work fine. You know where to find me." He would stand and offer a wave to Alori as she left before turning to look at his forge, hands upon his hips as he began to think.
Taking up the tongs he would gab ahold of the white hot metal bar once more, setting it upon the anvil. With his left hand he once more began tearing off a bit of metal a little larger than his thumb and molding it into a triangular shape. . Then he thrust the bar back into the fire and took up his hammer, pressing the small sized bit of metal onto the anvil as he lifted his hammer over his head. Two strong blows and then he flipped the piece over, hammering out the other side until it was completely flat. The metal was already beginning to cool so Izuldir placed it back into the fire, letting it heat up once more before he withdrew it once more. This time he took up the tongs, holding firmly to one edge of the triangle while he used his left hand to roll the metal over until it formed a cone shape. His fingers widened out the hole slightly so that it was be enough to fit over the end of an arrow shaft, and then he molded the metal at the end into a point. After running his thumb over the seam where the metal over lapped so that it became one sheet, Izuldir tossed this creation into the bucket. He repeated this process 9 more times.
Rolling his shoulders the Isur moved to a barrel where several arrow shafts were stored. Often those of the forge simply crafted the arrow heads, leaving the creation of the shafts to others who were not gifted in the art of working metal. For Izuldir this was not always the case. He usually preferred to craft the entire item himself, but as he was pressed for time he opted for a shorter route. Thus he took up 10 of the arrow shafts, complete with feathers, and brought them to his work station where he fitted each with an arrowhead he had crafted. Izuldir did take a moment, however, to mold the wood slightly so that the arrowhead fit more snugly onto the end of the shaft. The wood he pushed so that it partially covered the lips of the arrowhead that were fitted to the shaft, ensuring that there was no possible way they could be removed except by purposeful intent. Then he took each arrow in his hands, his obsidian fingers up and down the length to remove any rough patches or bumps in the wood. The final product were 10 arrows with arrow heads perfectly fitted to their shafts, each shaft perfectly smooth to the touch.
When Alori returned she would meet 10 completed arrows sitting on the table. As she approached Izuldir would wave, taking up one of the arrows and presenting it to Alori, "Tell me what do you think? Would you prefer any changes made in the arrow head, or perhaps the length or weight of the arrows themselves?" As he handed Alori the arrow he would extend a hand to accept the bow, turning it over in his hands as he examined its quality, "You may pay me half now, and the second half when you return this evening. Also," he looked up at Alori, "I will require a drop of blood from you as well for the crafting." |

Alori raised her eyebrows and nodded slightly. If the young Endal didn't know better she would have thought it a come on line. "Right...I think your name fits you too." she knew how silly it sounded, but there wasn't much else she could think to say. The teen knew nothing about the guy, but she did want to keep the conversation pleasant. Outsiders were so touche when it came to pleasantries and she was just trying to make a purchase.
Upon returning to the gallery, Alori was delighted to see the arrows on the table. She took the one offered and looked it over carefully. "Looks good, I don't really...I'll give these a test out and see how they do." It was the best she could offer given her limited knowledge on craftsmanship of arrows. "Alright, half now and half later." she smiled and handed him her bow, before going to her pocket to take out her coin pouch.
"You need my blood?" she asked curiously while handing him 200 pinions. It was still new to her, purchasing magical items, and the teen was trusting the Isur at his word. "Oh, okay,.." she added and slowly held out her hand. She waited and let him do what he needed and withdrew her hand. "So yea, I'll return a bit later then and pick this up." Unless he needed more from her, Alori would leave him to it for now.
While Izuldir went to work on her bow, the teen set her sights on the markets and dove in with fist filled with pinions. Of course with her new rank, she didn't have to pay for anything, but the teen was so used to doing so, it happened without thought. Some of the vendors hadn't learned of her knew status yet and regarded her as they usually did. But for those that did know, they were quick to gift her items, and while she loved receiving gifts, she remembered her days selling in the market, and wouldn't leave them empty handed. In the end, she didn't do as much shopping as she thought she would. After doing a make over of her new home there wasn't much in the way of items that she didn't already have.
