Known as the Celestial Seat, Nyka is a religious city in Northern Sylira. Ruled by four demigods and traversed by a large crevice, the monk-city is both mystical and dangerous. [Lore]

Sadly there was such place in Nyka however not as bad, they weren’t permitted to take people off the streets unless they were willing this was why Assilsa was happy to walk the streets of Nyka, she wouldn’t have to watch her back as much as Ravok.

“They aren’t allowed to take people if they don’t want to go”

Assilsa hoped this would comfort the man however it didn’t comfort her as much as it should. Wrapping the jacket more tightly around herself Assilsa envisioned them taking her and claiming she was willing.

“My race intrigues you? This is interesting; Well ask what you want to know”

After all she was glade to tell someone of her race even more so since she was now in his jacket

Many things can be Deduced [Cowlquape]

Cowlquape was shocked that they were allowed at all. He had never heard of such instances. Of course; there was no denying the occasional human trafficking, but to have the concept realized right below ones own nose...

Cowlquape put the thought aside; perhaps he'd look into the matter. That was, after all, business he might have to take care of. And, being who he was, snooping was almost required in order to suit his psyche's self integrity.

Besides, Assilsa was giving him an opportunity to inquire about her race; a race he was generally unfamiliar with. The questions bounced around his mind; vying for a position at the top. The easiest way to ask a bunch of questions, as it seems, is to just ask them all. Better to ask them as fast as possible, as the night was nearing its middle.

"If you insist, young lady! But I do have a number of questions; are you considered poisonous or venomous? Is it hard to execute every day procedures with those claws? Is it often that your appearance frightens people? And can you see at night?"

A small laugh escaped Assilsa, she couldn’t help but smile. Having these many questions and having someone seem so excited about her race. It was refreshing. Assilsa had to consider is first question was she indeed venomess or posionness? Assilsa had always considered herself as a poison race where the Dhani were more venomness.

“I do believe that I am poison? Yes.. poison”

Assilsa bared her fangs to prove the point. Now to move onto the next question which was about her claws. Assilsa had to agree if she wasn’t used to it the claws would be a huge bother, by now she was used them, when they first started to grow Assilsa began to curse them for their uselessness.

“They were when they first started to get long… however now im perfectly
use to them, they are actually quite useful”

The next question is the long line was certainly a sore spot for Assilsa, she often scared off people when she just wanted to ask a question or for help. Most people would just run away begging them not to be harvested.

“Yes…. I often scare people…”

Her voice came out pained, even if she had attempted to hide it. Shaking her head to hide the pain Assilsa put on a fake face. She needed to distract herself, next question…
There were often questions about Assilsa’s eye sight and she was glad that it was much better than Humans,

“What is pitch black to you is only slightly dark for me, If that helps. It is why I chose to be a hunter, I’m more permitted to hunt in the night when the prey is much more active, it’s very useful however I am a tad scared to go out in this night”

Many things can be Deduced [Cowlquape]

Postby Cowlquape on November 6th, 2013, 3:36 am

Cowlquape smirked in excitement. How fascinating, he thought. It had'nt ever occured to him directly (excluding what he might use for business) that not everyone had the same restraints and advantages that he had. That there were whole different races out there with entirely different attributes.

And then he heard the shaking in her voice.

Cowlquape squinted as he analyzed. She quickly changed the topic to his last question. She seemed to be trying to avoid thinking about something. People were sacred of her... and she hated it. It dawned a little bit on Cowlquape how relieved she must feel that a human was showing her an expression of equal footing and interest.

Cowlquape sympathized with Assilsa on going out in this night. He recalled the numerous cases that had been brought to him about missing people, almost every case leading to the gruesome claw marks of a hellhound. In other words, he could not stress enough: DO NOT GO OUT AT NIGHT.

"I think... people are afraid of what they don't understand." Cowlquape said, peering at Assilsa seriously. He was of course, referring to her remark about people distrusting her. "That being said," he continued, taking a less serious tone, "People have good reason to fear the Nykan night. Im sure you've heard the stories," he glanced at Assilsa with a questioning smile.

Assilsa had indeed heard the stories, they truly terrified her and was indeed the only reason she had yet to venture out into the night. Smiling politely Assilsa nodded at Cowlquape’s questions and listened to his tone. After all what else was going to happen?

“I have indeed heard the stories only a madman would leave at night.”

Assilsa tapped her long nails on the book beside her creating a small tune to go along with a song she used to sing as a child, she missed those day, having someone to travel with, share tales with. That was over now, for all she knew Halt was long dead. The idiot had gone to Ravok a kelvic wouldn’t leave again.

“So anything else you would like to know?”
