87th of Fall, 513 AV
Evening
Syveris entered the Kitchens, quiet, after her mentor. In truth, she wasn't hungry, even after the hard and continuous work in the Glass Reverie. However, Virat had convinced her to eat with him, and she followed the Avora, knowing that the invitation was not only for dinner, but also one to talk about what was bothering her. Syveris didn't truly wish to talk, but she would end up doing so sooner or later, so she just gave up and accepted to go with him.
Virat guided her to the food line, where she grabbed a plate without really seeing what was in it. There was a small piece of meat, and it was enough for her. She waited for her mentor to chose what he wanted to eat, and then, both of them walked to one of the small tables, that was still empty. Sitting down, Syveris started to eat, waiting for the question that she was sure it would come.
"How are you feeling?"
"Fine." she answered, but shook her head immediately after. It wasn't true, and something she had learned was that she couldn't lie to Virat. "Tired. Not physically, but... Well, maybe physically, too. I just want to know what is going on."
"You were in the Aeries when the storm hit." it wasn't a question. It had been Virat that had sent her there, so she could deliver the dishware for the Endal that had commissioned it. Her mentor had apologized when they first met after the storm, and he seemed more concerned than ever, but Syveris was grateful to him, in a way. If she had not been there, she wouldn't have been able to help Turrin, Kovac and Alori to rescue the others. "How was it?"
"Awful." she occupied herself with a piece of meat, chewing slowly, hoping that Virat would say something else, to free her from elaborating. He didn't, but she was already expecting it. "I saw people dying, right in front of me. I was hit by the glass that broke. I was worried sick about everyone. It was just that. Awful." she whispered, angrily.
It was a while before she spoke again, and during the time they both ate in silence, Syveris concentrating on her food more than what was needed. She wondered if she should tell Virat about the nightmares. He was her friend, but still, was it alright to bother the glassworker with something he had no control over?
"I have also... Been having nightmares." he raised his head, but Syveris kept staring at her plate. "Nothing too elaborated. Just... I just see them all die again and again. Is a little..." she shook her head. There wasn't really a word to describe it.
Virat seemed satisfied with her explanation, though, because he focused once again in eating. Syveris knew her mentor was probably thinking of ways he could help, but there was none, in her opinion.
Besides, she would get over it with time. Azira had said that her nightmares had gone away, after all.
